The common versions of Token Druid run enough spells to support this card. If it summons 3 Glowflies, the effect is comparable to Force of Nature, while summoning 4 or more minions on turn 5 is great tempo play. Treat-based Token Druids will probably still run FoN instead of this card.
The combined stats are great for 8 mana, but rhis card doesn't fit to the aggressive play style of DH. Big Demon DH has probably not enough good cards at the moment, but might become relevant later this year.
This card seems to be bad. Sure, there DH has access to some strong demons like Pit Commander or Coilfang Warlord, but turn 6 is imho too late to cheat out one of these minions.
Had this on my mind lately, but held off posting since it felt like it was destined for Front Page treatment. Somewhat self-explanatory. I've mained either Hunter or Rogue since at least Kobolds and Catacombs, bouncing back and forth when the playstyle of one or the other becomes boring or oppressive. So I've spent a considerable amount of time recently thinking what Leeroy's imminent Hall of Faming means for the go-to closer of a huge proportion of decks.
I'd be interested in two questions:
1) For those of you who can barely imagine life without Leeroy, what are you thinking of as a replacement? Reckless Rocketeer, for 1 more mana with 1 less damage, obviously isn't a worthwhile substitute.
2) Do you anticipate any shifts in the meta in response to Leeroy's removal? The number of times that I have either won or lost purely because Leeroy delivered the exact amount of damage required to end the game is almost hysterically high: whether the matchup is Mech Paladin or Galakrond Warrior, you can play a near perfect game and get suffocated by a well-timed Leeroy at the end. One of the interesting variables I see here is the timing of the Hall of Fame patch. With only half a week until the end of the season, a lot of more aggro decks will have to orchestrate a quick pivot within a fairly compressed window before new cards can fill the void.
Really wished this was a neutral instead. I love me some big deathrattles.
But seriously, what went through their mind when they designed this card. Its so much stats for an 8 drop. It has rush so it has initiative and later, taunt so it adds to defense as well.
The only thing keeping this down is that so many dhunter cards are so overpowered that this seemed so normal. Probably a one off in a midrange dhunter deck. Or perhaps even 2x in control decks. Its just good.
Because generating and maintaining board is part of paladin's identity so its only natural that they would move towards something with tribe synergy. Why'd it had to be murlocs? Because hearthstone.
I guessed we'd have a Demon Hunter comp, but it's a pretty hard thing to judge. None of us have played demon hunter yet, none of us really know what works well. BUT, the idea of making a demon hunter card for an old set is a helpful framing device. Not surprised to see Deathknight hero cards, quests and other big flashy mechanics from old sets.
Class card in disguise is code for "will only be used by one class, but is neutral for flavor reasons". Which this very well could be. It has nothing to do with the card's actual mechanics.
The feeling I get when seeing these is the same feeling I got when I saw Scargil: disappointment that they forewent anything interesting and resorted to murlocs instead.
Except it's worse this time because at least murlocs fit shaman flavour-wise. I've never understood why Paladin is a murloc class

New Warlock Minion - Keli'dan the Breaker
Amazing topdeck for a lost board.
Rage inducing if done against you lol.
New Demon Hunter Minion - Coilfang Warlord

This is a very strong arena card though.

New Rogue Minion - Greyheart Sage
Maybe a water rogue comeback in wild with Finja, the Flying Star, Skyvateer, this card and some murlocs?

Group Therapy! Need to blow off some steam? Mega salty? Here's the place!
Reno needs to fuck off with his bs RnG. 10+ turns of perfect RnG in a row, mostly free board clears turn after turn.
The rest of mage cards are no better, add random this into your hand. How the fuck am I supposed to play around this shit.
I miss when mage players were smart enough to have a plan.
Side salt: NO CARD, no matter how apparently strong or weak, should be able to generate itself from battlecry, discover or random effects.
New Demon Hunter Minion - Fel Summoner
All's well that ends fel when the fel summoner summons well.
... otherwise its garbage :P

It also buffs Underlight Angling Rod, which is a paladin card.

You pretty much either win the game or force your opponent to play a board clear, which would be hard since they have divine shield.
New Warlock Minion - Keli'dan the Breaker
It's kind of confusing since it seems like it would trigger anytime you draw it outside of your opponent's turn.
New Neutral Minion - Supreme Abyssal
This would be soooo goood..... if it weren't for the 8 mana cost. Even with the can't attack heroes thing, 8 mana invested into it is pretty harsh.
Blizzard Reveals Four New Demon Hunter Cards - 2 Basic & 2 Legendary Initiates via a Hearthside Chat
This new class seems terrifying on the paper.... I'm all about change, but damn
Sightless Watcher
Not exactly - Tracking is cheaper and draws you a card.

I assume it upgrades no matter where it is?
Coilfang Warlord
8-mana 14/14 with Rush and Taunt.

I wonder if Murloc Shaman will be a thing as Underbelly Angler and Scargil are still in Standard.

I love the stealth support! Stealth had been feeling like an abandoned mechanic.
