Do you really think that greedy Blizzard have shut down chinese servers altogether? They'll just sign a new contract soon and will continue to loot money.
Not the LoR update I was expecting, that's for sure. Paying off the hackers only encourages them to keep on doing it, so I'm glad that they chose not to.
There is shadowstep, prep, edwin, concoctions in general are just plain broken especially the cards that generate them like putricide, the 2 mana 3/2 that makes a concoction cost 0 which is also really strong when combined with shadowstep. Rogue has continually been the most played class by a landslide this entire meta and they only nerf two of their cards which arent even their strongest cards. These nerfs to other classes will just continue to make rogue even stronger than it is now. Also blizzard has nerfed other cards in that past that I have felt they didnt need to be nerfed as they werent even a problem to begin with like renethal and denathrius, the best decks in the game dont even use 40 cards and denathrius was only seeing play in blood dk and druid.
The Cambrian is a geological period when biodiversity really exploded and complex organisms started to thrive. I figured out a mini-set based on other extinct animals would make sense. The reward is based on the dunkleosteus, a huge predator fish (which lived in a posterior period, but whatever).
In terms of mechanics, it provides a Neutral Quest (just like Throne of the Tides had Neutral Colossals) and uses the new keyword Adaption, which complements Adapt.
I think this might be a bit too weak, so I might change it so that all summoned minions get the Adaption; or that it gives other minions the two Adaption you didn't pick instead of the one you picked; or both.
I know it would be against the rules sort of but is it not possible to submit 2 cards as 1 "token" by putting 2 cards in one image?
Like so.
It's not "sort of" against the rules. It just simply is against the rules and there have been instances where we've disqualified entries for doing this.
So unfortunately there isn't really a fair way around this. I suppose this justifies discussing with the team about raising the standard token limit going forward.
Battlefield Necromancer would probably spawn a 1/2 that gives a corpse back when it dies. Or it gets reduced to 1 rune, which is fine. Not sure what they intend to do with Unholy Frenzy however. 2 mana, likely.
Dounbt, the risen will give a corpse.
Thats entire point of the risen Tokens (evry single one), they dont give a corpse.
Thatd be changing entire mechanic essnetialy for 1card, when could just as easly buff the token's stats by 1point, not change the text/mechanic of a card. Which is what they prefer doing.
Would a Thori'belore buff even do anything? Sure, it could see more play, but if you buff it to the point where you can consistently revive it 4-5 times per game it might be so strong that the deck shuts down aggression completely as long as it consistently finds the Phoenix and by that point you could argue it's one of those 1-card build-arounds that make or break the whole deck, which isn't good in my opinion.
Right now Warrior doesn't really have enough valuable fire spells to justify Thori'belore. The solution should be to buff those (or the decks they belong in) and if Thori is still weak after that you can consider buffing it.
Mass nerfs are pointless because we already get consistent nerfs throughout the expansions. All you're doing is forcibly remove playable decks for no reason without actually guaranteeing underperforming classes to see the light of day.
Buffs are better because they actually enable more diversity.
Demonxz95 - It's not a real image by far lol. Just a zoomed in Final Reward from MTG. I wanted a mummy that was wrapped fully so it could be an actual "unidentified" mummy.
I know it would be against the rules sort of but is it not possible to submit 2 cards as 1 "token" by putting 2 cards in one image?
Yeah, this is being a very slow week. I haven't had as much time as usual, but I managed to finally write some feedback:
Demonxz95
I think I prefer Shadowball, but it's only by a small margin. I really like how Echo and Overkill interact and I don't mind the powercreep too much, especially since this mini set is supposed to be launched in the present time (and the two cards aren't for the same class).
Dungeoneer Casori is also very cool, especially considering the fact you also upgrade her. It's funny, I also made a Rogue legendary that burgled legendary spells in my Boomsday miniset.
Overall, both cards are very solid in terms of mechanics and I'd probably rate them with 5 stars (or 4 if there are too many cards I really like).
linkblade91
I like Twilight Shepherd a quite a lot, the way you buff him is very creative and really fits DK. You also made the right choice with the mana Cost. The only nitpick I have is the Shepherd part of the name (it's not a Priest card, even if he belongs to a cult), but maybe I'm missing something.
Monica Dreadguard is also fine, but I don't like her as much as your other card (despite sharing her name with my fiancee lol). I like that her Inspire effect is so tied to the Warlock HP, but that makes me wonder what would happen if another class randomly generated her (I guess she'd be a vanilla minion). Finally, I think she would work better as a non legendary minion, because her effect isn't too flashy.
BasilAnguis
Unidentified Mummy was my favorite card, but it cannot participate because of the token limit Demon mentioned.
That leaves us with The Worgen Curse. I'd like to suggest it should be a legendary because of flavor reasons, but that would make it less consistent, so I don't know.
Finally, you should use the the mini-set watermark, which can be found in the "custom" part of Hearthcards. It's at the bottom of the watermarks, bc they were the first to be added.
cydonianknight
The base idea is cool and the artwork makes the card very neat. However, its a bit boring as is.
To make it more nuanced, I'd suggest giving it Rush and making one of the following things:
Making the cost discount a Combo effect.
Keeping the discount as a Battlecry but making the Echo part a Combo effect.
Rising its cost to 4.
Neoguli
Bonedrake Ritual is my favorite card, but it can't participate because it's from a set that already has a miniset.
About the others, I think I prefer Flameguard Protector, but I'm not sure if everyone will appreciate its gimmick.
Suffocating Lullaby is cool too, but it should either be a pure class card (I'd go for Priest) or use the Scholomance watermark.
Alfi
Not a huge fan, honestly. It doesn't fit TGT in terms of flavor and it's only tangencially related mechanically. Also, the effect is probably detrimental most of the time, as you're removing cheap cards from your opponent's deck, making their draws better on average.
BloodMefist
Aethas Sunreaver is probably my favorite, but you should listen to other people who are better at balancing than me if the card isn't too dangerous in some way.
EVIL Propagandist is good too, although it doesn't push the Lackey mechanic in unexpected ways, like minisets often do. If you go with it, keep in mind the word "hero" shouldn't be capitalized. I'd also recommend making it Rise of Shadows mini set, as the name makes more sense in a city than in a desert.
While I'm fine with these cards changes, I'm getting a feeling that Team 5 are buffing more cards than previously, just to keep up with the power creep in the game. Wouldn't a mass nerf be more beneficial to the game than buffing underperforming cards?
Like, I'd be scared at what the game will look like 5 years from now where they buff cards like Secret Passage or Wildpaw Gnoll coz they'll be considered "too weak"
IMO the only decks that really NEED changing in Wild are Big Priest, Quest Mage and Miracle Rogue (which they are hitting). There are other really powerful and busted decks, but none of them cause as many non-games as Big Priest and Miracle Rogue in particular. Quest Mage causes non-games if you're playing anything other than aggro or don't have a deck full of disruption.
They're buffing 3 pirates and they're still gonna be garbage. They seriously need to rework the tribe. When the new scaling options were introduced for most other tribes (Dazzling Lighstpawn etc.), all Pirates got was Peggy, which, like all other Pirates, completely sucks until you have Hoggar. You essentially can't start playing Pirates until you have Hoggar, ideallly two, and then you still need to find actual scaling. No other tribe is this fucked. Then they took away the one way to get a golden Hogger somewhat early (Tony Two-Tusk), or rather, essentially moved him to tier 6 (the new Pirate Naga) and they killed Khadgar for Pirate scam. Essentially, Pirates, one of the worst tribes if not the worst tribe in the game lost one of its builds and had the other one made harder to put together. Pirates still have no abilities (Windfury, Divine Shield, cleave, meaningful Deathrattles) and if they buff Toxfin again (I mean just why at this point??) there's no reason to play Pirates over Murlocs who can scale essentially from tier 1.
I think a major overhaul of the tribes is in order once again.
Sadly nothing for Wild. We currently have no super broken decks like Seedlock, Tillerlock or Discardlock, but personally I would have liked to see changes to some of the more problematic builds in this priority:
So my opponent can have 3-4 Rat Kings on board but god forbid that Thori’belore revives more than 2 times.
I also really hate BSM, but I expect it to continue dominating what is left of the meta once Shockspitter and Rogue get nerfed again since no major changes were made to i
I imagine She-Hulk would be a good one, too, if you're planning to skip your turn so the Rocks are cleared. Don't have her, but she was my first instinct.
So far, it worked every time for me, but I haven't played a huge number of games. Maybe it depends on the card IDs? If so, adding an odd card older than Genn could sabotage it.
Battlegrounds is Receiving 17 Balance Changes in This Week's Game Update
Without quests there is once again a massive disparity in the strength of heroes. I would rather they do something about hero balance.

Here's my idea for a TGT miniset card to make the Inspire keyword from that set hopefully less of a failure

Yeah, I've seen it 🥲 I guess I'll go with one card from my Boomsday miniset, but it's kinda annoying.
EDIT: I ended going with Learning Machine.

I feel bad for the players, but could we please get the original Jaina portret back now?

Well now this is quite unfortunate....

Is there a point in such a big nerf / buff with mini set arround the corner? Or we are not getting it before new rotation?

[Game] Card Treasure Hunt (Hearthstone Riddles)
It is a small/quick minion, but not Glacial Shard. It's from a more recent set than that.
Your Ray of Frost analysis is 100% correct.
"Leaping over" decklists references the fact that this card is rarely seen on the ladder. It's not in any lists.

[Game] Card Treasure Hunt (Hearthstone Riddles)
Faster than a speeding river of ice - "river of ice" = Avalanche; add "speeding" and you might get Animated Avalanche; "faster" = cheaper?
More powerful* than a frost ray - potentially / conditionally deals more damage than Ray of Frost
Able to leap over decklists in a single bound - this could mean it's a neutral card?
Look! It's -Card Name-!
Glacial Shard?
