I've had a Challenge a Friend quest on all 3 regions in the last day or so. Probably coincidence of course, but I wondered if anyone else had noticed anything similar.
Perhaps a server-side quest bias was changed to make this more likely in order to combat challenges to morale in these difficult times.
Probably silly for me to suggest it but I'm stuck at home bored :P
I love the art, because you can see different part of Annoy-o trons on their different versions, the scape tube from sn1p-sn4p, pogos spring, some Zilliax tubes.
By the background you can tell he is on Netherstorm, the same zone where Dr Boom lair is.... Even the background is mech related.
You're also assuming a going 0-2 twice, which is extremely pessimistic--the median result is probably 4-5 wins.
But overall I really like this. Expeditions were starting to feel like a chore to me--I felt like I needed to convert my free token into a random champion ASAP every week, but at the same time I didn't want to blow it so I'd end up procrastinating until the weekend. This way, you get epics, which are still pretty good but not "I need to redeem this ASAP to see if it helps me build a new deck" good.
I was looking at the base reward, since the rest of the rewards are easier to calculate they are straight shard rewards.
You need 2000 shards to break even on the reward and for that you need quite a bit here compared to the previous reward being always at least neutral.. TBH it's better that way.. you get exp and you get a game mode.. so be it..
Yeah felt the same didn't really enjoy expeditions cause I wanted to know which champion I would get.. guess now I could enjoy them more without wanting to quit them just for the reward.
Linkblade 91 - I like the C'thun love! Personally, I prefer the 4 mana Twilight Reaver. Hero attacking seems to be the main theme of DH, much like Healing is for Priest, or Armor for warrior, so having it tie in works. Triple Spin, unless I'm mistaken would be the only spell that buffs C'Thun? Which makes it stand out and feel weird. I feel the 6 mana Twilight Reaver could be limiting from a design standpoint, giving them that hefty an attack with one card. It still works, and no cards have been released so far that would directly conflict, so it's fine, I just prefer the 4 mana one. Balance feels fine.
Dermostatic - I have concerns with this for a few reasons. Firstly, I feel so much of the Demon Hunter identity is built around that Hero Power, and the ability to attack. This power improves their attack, but removes the ability to do so without a weapon. An increased attack, lifesteal, or a passive attack score would work better. The battlecry also feels incredibly weak compared to most of the DK's.
As for my idea, I decided to look at what Loa they might use in Rastakhan's Rumble. After looking at a few unused ones, such as Bethekk and Paku I decided on Mam'toth. I decided to make it based on the Hero attacking as it seems to be such an integral part of the class.
Who cares about minimum... I care about maximum and when there is no maximum my addictive personality kicks in and I overdo it and ruin my RL... Problem is I play it even if I don't have time...
This could get crazy with Priest and Pally Buffs, play a buffing minion or 2 next to it and watch that become a buffed copy of this and so on.
This could only be printed in standard with Magnetic rotating out. This whole set seems to be a bit of, hey with the Set rotate lets make some CRAZY stuff for this new Standard.
Well, obviously it's unlikely to consistently get to 7 wins . However, getting a few wins meant that you'd get a random champion as well as some additional rewards, making expeditions a way to 'buy' random champions for less than 3000 shards in most cases. This meant that if, like me, you're aiming to get (almost) every champion card in the game, expeditions were just a more resource efficient way to reach this goal. Plus the occasional 7 wins meant that you'd get a free random champion + additional stuff. That's gone now, which is why I am not sure how I feel about this change.
Now don't get me wrong, I actually do like that now I won't feel forced to play expeditions anymore, but I also tend to be way too hesitant to spend my in-game with my resources (in other words: I'm just greedy :p) so it was nice that there was a way to get guaranteed rare rewards for simply playing a certain gamemode.
Not as exciting with all of the magnetic cards rotating, but still certainly an interesting tool for a class like Paladin, with easy minion generation and myriad buffs.
Think of a level 10 vault as the minimum you should hit every week and everything else beyond that as just an optional bonus. It really is optional unless you have a pathological need to get 3 of every card in the game. I've been playing casually since the beta opened. I hit lvl 10 every week, but I think I got to 13 only once. I may be "behind" other players, but I have almost every card I want except for a few champion cards, plus a bunch of wild cards saved up. If I had pushed myself to hit 13 each week, I would have a handful more wild cards and a few more champion cards that probably wouldn't get used much.
So raising the limit doesn't really change much. If you have time to play beyond lvl 10 and want to, then go for it. We should be playing because we enjoy the game, not because we feel an obligation to hit a milestone each week. Don't turn the game into a job for yourself. Raising the limit doesn't change that.

Not really, this just makes decks that can use Plague of Flames and Devolve even more relevant.
Increase in Friend Challenge quests?

I really appreciate the condensed reveal season. It's been nice seeing so many cards each day.

Don't forget that we are playing beta. In the future, when expansions will come it will be harder for new players to get all cards.
Dedicated players that will stick to the game and play daily will have full / almost full collection.

If it's magnetized how does it duplicate...buffed or original state? if it duplicates buffed...it's gonna be a really powerful card.
