0 cost spells are always something to keep an eye on, and Power Word Shield is a great tool for any kind of Spell Synergy Priest because it's great with Gadgetzan Auctioneer and [Hearthstone Card (Lyra, the Sunshard) Not Found] in Wild, and odds are pretty good that more Spell Priest tools will be printed that enable some high-value potential out of it.

EDIT: For context, this was a reply to somebody complaining that they were adding an anti-Warlock class with lots of demon destruction tools, obviously having read the class name and none of the cards. The comment seems to have been deleted.

Constructive criticism: I think the jab at Polygon staff "Wow, what idiots!!" is a little excessive. I always dig this site and your constant great content, but to jab so harshly at what is likely a single person who clearly knows they made a mistake, just seems a little petty. I follow a handful of sites, including Polygon, and while they don't focus on Hearthstone, they're usually pretty accurate when they write something up on the game and are obvious fans. I'm not trying to sound like I'm policing the internet, and it's important to have thick skin when floating around web pages, but just wanted to drop off a comment to say that maybe hold back some of the harshness on a fellow gaming journalist, ESPECIALLY if you're going to essentially copy that same material into your own write-up. Again, just constructive criticism, golden rule type stuff, ya know?

Because it's nuts now. It was always good, but now it's a deck-thinner, no cost cantrip that buffs any minion of your own while taking you 1 step closer to any win-condition or combo piece... for free. Absolutely for free. Mark my words: this buff will be undone.

These are my early ideas; the effects feel plain, but hopefully the flavor is on-point. I'll keep brainstorming.

Forge Elemental crafts better Mechs from its own body, making them extra sharp (like swords and stuff).

Wildfire Dragon is fueled by the presence of Elementals, blasting enemies with the excess energy.

This some sort of early April Fools joke?  The Demon Hunter class is interesting, but the obvious counter to it is warlock with all the demon destruction tools.  Also, the priest class will be impossible to play any sort of big minion deck (Dragon Queen anybody?)  against with the removal discounts is crazy.  A board clear for 4 mana?

She's specifically in Vengeance Metamorphosis (Meta being a Demon Hunter ability that lets you turn into a demon to gain bonuses). Havoc Meta gives you wings, Vengeance Meta covers you in spikes. That's why.

yeah, having looked at the entire thing so far I realise it now.

I mean....Solitary Monk into Stand Alone on turn 3 is basically game over for any deck (that isn't running Vengeance or some Rimefang wolf shenanigans)

So is a Greenglade Duo that you can't get rid of.

Having only 20 health means any guaranteed damage is relevant...and if that guaranteed damage hits you for 6 over multiple turns things get kind of kooky.

if they rotate Auctioneer now after him not having seen real play for almost a year just so they can print half-baked 0-cost spells that won't see play outside of actual Auctioneer then I#ll be pissed.

Smite is a straight up buff. It was only used face in OTK decks (mainly Razakus). Aside from that it was a lackluster removal spell (and also the only card to have an identical copy, being Arcane Shot). Now it's the strongest 1-mana removal spell in the game, meaning that you can never stick any 1-drop against Priest, which could be huge.

Shield is the only real nerf and who knows what Auctioneer Shenanigans we're going to get into.

I also suspect Neutrals are going to get cut....it'S not like we need them anyways. What's the point of having that many when most of them are deliberately designed to be pointless outside of Arena.

They should just buff Savagery. I don't think this card is *that* powerful; it's more Savagery is useless trash.

I'm hoping the Priest revamp is just the beginning, and they're focusing on redoing the entire Basic and Classic set this year.
