Really strong card. Very easy to get this down to 1 or 0 mana. If Treant Druid is going to be a thing is another story but we can all agree that this card is very good.
Big Ol' Whelp is basically Azure Drake 2.0. That's a great card for arena and constructed. An auto-include in any dragon deck and the card that will push dragons in the meta. Calling it now.
If dragon decks are good enough and need curve fillers this is great. Otherwise its not good in a pure Murloc deck. More menagerie stuff for wild potentially but that is so far off being viable even now it doesn't matter.
Yeah. This and Corrupt Elementalist really make me question Blizz saying the invoke cards are low tempo to justify the powerhouse invoke synergy cards.
Well they're super low tempo in general, just not with shaman. They said they wanted shamans invoke/dragon to be tempo oriented. Their dragon's battlecry isn't quite as much value as other classes (though 2 8/8 rushes is still pretty nutty
FREEZE SHAMAN IS BACK EVERYBODY!!! 5/5 CARD!!! NOW I CAN SHOW ALL THOSE HATERS WHO'S BOSS!!! FREEZE SHAMAN FOR THE WIN!!!
Not but seriously, I wasn't expecting this. It is pretty good, it is just like Glacial Shard but with rush. There isn't a battlecry, so it doesn't have any synergy with shudderwock, but it is still a decent tempo play and it does invoke galakrond. This is better than a lot of the invoke cards we have seen so far simply because shaman has such a proactive galakrond power. Imagine freezing one minion and than trading into another. A 2/1 rush is a pretty good 1 drop, just look at Springpaw, this deals the same damage for half the cost, it is less flexible not being able to deal the damage to two separate targets, but is also can free whatever it wants.
much better than the other one since it gives a weapon and has nice stats but I feel like it ultimately won't do much since neutrals are so important. I just don't think this will be that great of a card
I agree to say that this card is dependent on the deck you're playing and playing against. If you are sure that your opponent hasn't dragon and you can summon most of the time some big dragon, this card can be worthy
Very similar to Living Roots, 1 mana 2/2 or another effect, depending on the situation, this one has Treant synergy as well and that gives it a plus in rating.
There are so much minions that Druid can summon with spells so only big and slow minions(I meant non-battlecry ones) can be used for this deck and hope that 2 minions will be enough to complete this side-quest but well this strategy might not work if you draw all of the big minions at early and couldn't draw this.
Well, there are still good big minions in Druid's range. So I can't be sure that it might work or not. So meta dependent.
Would rather just use the dragon one for 1 cheaper. The old GvG version of this card was fun, but the 3 damage is in a bit of an awkward spot. Can’t ping to deal with 5 health, stuff might survive turn 4. Don’t think it’s worth it
New Druid Spell - Aeroponics
Really strong card. Very easy to get this down to 1 or 0 mana. If Treant Druid is going to be a thing is another story but we can all agree that this card is very good.
New Shaman Spell - Dragon's Pack
Surprised it doesn’t have any overload. Relatively easy to activate and gets you a nice wall
The Final Descent of Dragons Reveal Stream - 47 New Cards! LIVE COVERAGE
Big Ol' Whelp is basically Azure Drake 2.0. That's a great card for arena and constructed. An auto-include in any dragon deck and the card that will push dragons in the meta. Calling it now.
New Rogue Spell - Candle Breath
a better sprint but dragon rogue wont be good
Violet Spellwing
The elemental tag in this one is fantastic for the sidequest
New Priest Minion - Disciple of Galakrond
Not a bad 1 drop. Will obviously only see play in Galakrond Priest. Nothing much to say about it.
New Neutral Minion - Gyrocopter
rush automatically makes the card good, but it sucks that warrior basically gets the same thing 3 turns earlier with invokes
New Neutral Minion - Tasty Flyfish
If dragon decks are good enough and need curve fillers this is great. Otherwise its not good in a pure Murloc deck. More menagerie stuff for wild potentially but that is so far off being viable even now it doesn't matter.
New Shaman Spell - Invocation of Frost
Well they're super low tempo in general, just not with shaman. They said they wanted shamans invoke/dragon to be tempo oriented. Their dragon's battlecry isn't quite as much value as other classes (though 2 8/8 rushes is still pretty nutty
Elemental Allies
It's a giant water elemental holding Reno?

New Shaman Spell - Invocation of Frost
Moorabi tier 1 in Wild?
New Paladin Minion - Lightforged Zealot
much better than the other one since it gives a weapon and has nice stats but I feel like it ultimately won't do much since neutrals are so important. I just don't think this will be that great of a card

New Warlock Spell - Rain of Fire
Lots of synergies (both new and well established) are possible here, and it will be nice to see what another class can do with a Whirlwind.
But can we take a moment to look at the art: I'm not sure Reno's choice of a longboat-airship really prepared him for this fight.
New Neutral Minion - Skyfin
is blizzard serious? what murloc deck runs dragons lmfao
New Rogue Minion - Bloodsail Flybooter
Needed to be a Warrior card so you could combo with Skybarge. But still, it's a Fire Fly for Pirates; I'm sure it will see play.
New Neutral Minion - Troll Batrider
Would rather just use the dragon one for 1 cheaper. The old GvG version of this card was fun, but the 3 damage is in a bit of an awkward spot. Can’t ping to deal with 5 health, stuff might survive turn 4. Don’t think it’s worth it
New Neutral Minion - Tasty Flyfish
I'm telling you Guys,... Menagerie's coming to Standard
New Neutral Minion - Hippogryph
rush hunter, yeet. dire frenzy, master's call.. i see it...
New Paladin Minion - Lightforged Crusader
So, on one hand, trion and other legendaries on the other 5 secrets and some sand breaths it seems too risky to make a neutral-less deck
Scalerider
s1:7 but easier
New Rogue Spell - Dragon's Hoard
going into test rogue
