It's definitely one that somewhat confuses me with its wording. It doesn't feel as... intuitive as the previous examples AngryShuckie brought up, but sounds like their best attempt at translating an effect that also includes the opponent's turn within it. As you noted, not something we've seen as such.
It gives you reasons to run Candleshot, but with Shockspitter you'll run that card anyway.
So is this any good? If you can curve candleshot on 1 then yes. Otherwise its just a spidertank. And hunter draws being what it is, this card may very well be cut simply because of consistency reasons.
Because I still believe that you can run better 3 drops that is less dependent on other cards to make good. Hunter being what it is, much like paladin, each card has to actually account for itself because the class simply doesn't draw very well. And in the absence of tutors, specifically weapon tutors, Im dont like the card's chances.
Alright here's the thing. The conditions for this card is woeful. Basically you have to run Candleshot or this thing does little to nothing and would be better be replaced by cards like Frenzied Fangs, Spirit Poacher, etc.
But because of its potential, cheap cost, and the fact that the conditions are manageable somewhat, you'd probably just play it along with 2x candleshot anyway. Even at 3 shots, being branned out this thing deals 8 damage for 2 mana, and that's a finisher if ever I saw one.
Probably not going to a XL deck though. You'll want to draw candleshot, this card, and brann consistently and you can't risk it on an XL deck. Face hunter comeback maybe? Because we're still missing the second half of the reveals and its likely something to do with burn (Arcane Quiver has no targets revealed yet)
The good thing about this card is that its not completely shit, and that says a lot given that the weapon costs 6, usually weapons costing 5 and above need great justification to even be bothered with.
And this one does have one good niche. It deals 4 damage and then it buffs your board for a finish or something close to one. And thereafter you have a +2+2 to all your minions on turn 7.
But its drawbacks are so big that I simply dont see this ever being played. Firstly hunter rarely ever flood board until the late game, and secondly, if youre playing from behind this card sucks and sucks really hard. You're better off with Harpoon Gun, which gives game winning advantages and costing half as much as this one.
Yeah that sucks, and I almost would have fallen victim to it myself, having only just completed it late last week.
Dont know why, but I felt less motivated to play mercs these days, even after the changes made.
As for mercs, I wouldn't be too surprised if it died slowly, surviving only on small updates every 2 months, each as inconsequential as the next. The game needs an overhaul, but Im not too sure if blizz would ever do it. It was, after all, thought to have been developed solely as an entry to the mobile market, something which Im fairly sure failed spectacularly.
Now that they're releasing arclight rumble, is there any reason for mercs to even still be alive now?
I had planned to finish the event this week, only to find out it has ended already. If they care so little about Mercenaries that they're not willing to properly correct this mistake by re-enabling the event until the previously announced end date, then I think I'll take the hint and stop playing this mode.
Wow, all of the undead priest support spells are shadow spells, which means that Darkbishop Benedictus will work with them. And some of these cards are insane too.
Grave Digging for a quick and cheap refill.
Undying allies makes sure your Voidtouched Attendant gets an insane amounts of value by having a sticky board.
Shadow Word: Undeath is just a double Consecration.
High Cultist Basaleph can fill your board back up.
Pretty safe to say that undead shadow aggro will be one of the better decks after this expansion releases.
The only thing I am not a fan of this card for is that its all random, but in most cases, it gives you a couple extra ammunition's you may be able to play on the very same turn, so might be valuable, even if its a gamble, after all.
For a (1) drop, the effect is highly beneficial, as it may be the condition to get your discount on your draw engine, or to multiply the buff you are applying to your damaged minions. If not great, it at least fit the bill and has a clear use for - I think this should see play
I think the weapon alone is reason enough to play this card, the +4/+2 in hand is also a nice touch. Some minions could definitely benefit from such a buff!
Sunfire Smithing?! It's simple, just throw it into the sun.
Each time I see new cards with the now removed keyword Enraged, I wonder if they shouldn't have just printed more instead of getting rid of the keyword altogehter ...? Too confusing for their player base ^^
Seems like every class is getting their version of Arcane Intellect, with more or less discount ; in this case, way more discount! This is essentially draw 2 for nothing, and re-activate your dead-fire-bird, which is 2 birds, one stone!
I like how it seems effective and resilient, without being completely out of hand; a decent power level for a situational tool that can be used more than once. It is a pretty neat design, I would say
I know right, how original! I don't think it would be nearly as annoying in Standard, if it wasn't from the return of all that resurrection's BS .. oh well!
Drawing with a discount seems pretty interesting, still having some reserves about Undead-Priest being viable, but at least this gives reason to experiment with the archetypes. Even if not great, this should allow deck-cycling and possibly not running out of steam?
Every Series 4 Card in MARVEL SNAP
Double Jubilee with Absorbing Man? Maybe will suck but ill definitelly try.
MARVEL SNAP Developer Update - December Season, Token Shop Incoming, New Cards!
Finally after the pain of getting bad cards or ones that only work with a synergy, poggers moment.
If you ever run into Ego as a location and you have sentinel in your deck...
Just retreat.
He'll just keep playing Sentinel over and over and ignore eveything else.
(Except Ant-Man. He'll put Ant-Man on a location by himself. Just like Agatha does.)
I seriously hate that location.
I mean, there's enough randomness in the game without making an entire game random.

Hope of Quel'Thalas? More like hope FOR quel'thalas, relying on this thing.

5 New Priest Cards Revealed for Hearthstone's March of the Lich King Expansion by Old Guardian

Pretty safe to say that undead shadow aggro will be one of the better decks after this expansion releases.
New Rogue Minion - Noxious Infiltrator
I'm under the impression that it hit a single target, as long as at least one undead died last turn. Otherwise, the battlecry won't even trigge
New Demon Hunter Minion - Felerin, the Forgotten
The only thing I am not a fan of this card for is that its all random, but in most cases, it gives you a couple extra ammunition's you may be able to play on the very same turn, so might be valuable, even if its a gamble, after all.
Also, flavor text displayed is ... flavorful?
New Warrior Minion - Sunfury Champion
For a (1) drop, the effect is highly beneficial, as it may be the condition to get your discount on your draw engine, or to multiply the buff you are applying to your damaged minions. If not great, it at least fit the bill and has a clear use for - I think this should see play
New Rogue Minion - Noxious Infiltrator
Let me clarify, does it hit only ONE minion? Or does it hit on how many undead died last turn?
New Warrior Spell - Sunfire Smithing
I think the weapon alone is reason enough to play this card, the +4/+2 in hand is also a nice touch. Some minions could definitely benefit from such a buff!
Sunfire Smithing?! It's simple, just throw it into the sun.
New Warrior Spell - Blazing Power
Each time I see new cards with the now removed keyword Enraged, I wonder if they shouldn't have just printed more instead of getting rid of the keyword altogehter ...? Too confusing for their player base ^^
Apply heat directly to the damaged area.
New Hunter Weapon - Hope of Quel'Thalas
I see Weapon Hunter is a thing.
About time we actually used a bow.
New Hunter Minion - Shockspitter
Oh, if only this was from Hero Power....
New Warrior Spell - Light of the Phoenix
Seems like every class is getting their version of Arcane Intellect, with more or less discount ; in this case, way more discount! This is essentially draw 2 for nothing, and re-activate your dead-fire-bird, which is 2 birds, one stone!
New Warrior Minion - Thori'belore
I like how it seems effective and resilient, without being completely out of hand; a decent power level for a situational tool that can be used more than once. It is a pretty neat design, I would say
New Priest Minion - Crystalsmith Cultist
Decent (1) drop, effect easy enough to trigger, makes for a good turn 1, or a very frustrating top-deck late in the game ..
New Priest Minion - High Cultist Basaleph
I know right, how original! I don't think it would be nearly as annoying in Standard, if it wasn't from the return of all that resurrection's BS .. oh well!
New Priest Spell - Grave Digging
Drawing with a discount seems pretty interesting, still having some reserves about Undead-Priest being viable, but at least this gives reason to experiment with the archetypes. Even if not great, this should allow deck-cycling and possibly not running out of steam?
New Priest Spell - Shadow Word: Undeath
I guess this might be a reason to play undead priest. For its mana cost, it is quite effective - if it trigger twice
We like to call it FUNdeath here!
New Priest Minion - Bonecaller
Hello, am I speaking to the undead of the household? We have been trying to reach you about your skeleton's extended warranty.
