  • New Priest Minion - Chronobreaker

Good, not great. If it had taunt it would be a great card. Don't think it'll see play.

  • New Priest Minion - Mindflayer Kaahrj

Not even sure how to rate this card. It isn't clear who gets the new copy. Even if it is the player, not a great card.

  • Mindflayer Kaahrj

Provides a decent set of stat but a delayed one. Being a legendary is probably the only weakness of this card otherwise deathrattle priest can actually get somewhere this expansion with two of this in the deck. But since you've only got one, and the effect is actually worse than cube, this is not going to be a placeholder for a deathrattle deck.

Still, if you can draw this consistently enough then its still a good value play. But probably too slow in a meta with so many other broken cards.

  • Hunter Weapon Reveal - Stormhammer

Everyone making the Fiery War Axe comparison, when really its closer to an Eaglehorn Bow for Dragon Hunter instead of Secret Hunter.

  • New Rogue Minion - Stowaway

Pretty much insane with cards like Pogo-Hopper, Shadow of Death, and even Waxadred. Sucks when it draws bombs tho.

  • New Priest Minion - Chronobreaker

Chillmaw is so much worse! Having the effect as a battlecry is essential.

Chillmaw didn’t see play because aggro just trades the low health minions into it

  • New Hunter Weapon - Stormhammer

This is the glue that makes dragon hunter stick together and make it viable. Blizz better release Falstad as a hunter legendary upcoming year to make it fit in the lore a bit too.

  • New Neutral Minion - Depth Charge

    Amazing card. I love it.

To add something a little more substantive to the debate, I think this is comparable to doomsayer at being an early game doorstop but much worse later on in combination with freezes or board clears. it really depends on the deck which card would work better, but I could even see some decks using both, EG draw-your-deck-and-win combo decks.

  • Stormhammer

Very powerful weapon, but will only see its true power as long as weapons are not meta in the next standard.

If it ever gets like Waggle Pick level of busted like in RoS standard then expect weapon removal in every deck. Or better yet, they might just steal the weapon and leave you crying.

  • New Priest Reveals - Mindflayer Kaahrj & Chronobreaker

Whatever the card will end up becoming can we all just admit it's just slow duskbreaker.....

  • Chronobreaker

Well well well, looks who come back after going to the gym.

  • New Priest Minion - Chronobreaker

Sweet googly mooglies, that is one spicy meatball. 3 damage to all enemy minions is worth 4-5 mana alone. This card is like Starfall + Anubisath defender rolled into one card. That is sick.

Yes, it's situational. I guess we're putting lots of dragons in our priest decks now.

Whew. For a second I thought this was a battlecry, not a deathrattle. OK, that makes this card a lot more fair. Still seems pretty busted tho. The fact that it doesn't damage your side of the bard is huge, it means you can proactively drop this even if you have an army.

  • Chronobreaker

This is going to be a staple in every priest deck that has dragons. Duskbreaker was hard to deal with already, now for one more mana it hits enemy minions and has a fatter body? Sign me up.

  • The Origin of the Dragonflights - Traversing Azeroth

There hasn't been anything official from Blizzard confirming anything related to this speculation topic.

  • New Hunter Weapon - Stormhammer

Imagine running a Fiery War Axe that can't be destroyed by Harrison. I guess this is why Kobold Stickyfinger was printed along side it.

  • New Priest Reveals - Mindflayer Kaahrj & Chronobreaker

Mindflayer Kaahrj - I'm not a grammar nazi that cries over small things like text inconsintecies (see how "three" is written in Dragon Soul and Chenvaala, which caused a thread on reddit to even get an award), but for the first time in a while I struggled at understanding this minion's effect so much that I had to watch the video. Other than that, you want to copy a good minion, which means that your opponent's board needs not to be clear (otherwise it would just be a vanilla 3 mana 3/3), but most of all you should combine it with a removal: if you're against a King Krush your first goal is to stop the SMOrc. Seems cool for the memes but not really reliable. 2/5

Chronobreaker - let's be honest: if it were a battlecry or a taunt minion it would have been totally oppressive and unbalanced (and you're hearing it from a guy who LOVED crushing aggro with Duskbreaker back in the day). I think this is correct way to see it: when Chronobreaker is played it gives your opponent the same feeling of despair caused by Flame Ward. You know it's there, you know it's coming, but how should you behave? Should you ignore it? Should you play around it? Should you play into it and restart the board? Of course it's vulnerable to Silence, but it's still a 4/5 for 5 mana, which isn't great but not bad either. Moreover, it's a Dragon and most of the times you'd like to receive it from  Galakrond's Wit 3/5

  • New Priest Reveals - Mindflayer Kaahrj & Chronobreaker

Lucky you - I wouldn't mind - if I get it will enjoy it whatever tier deck :)

  • New Hunter Weapon - Stormhammer

Hunters put their faith in the light now, eh?

Very strong if enough dragons can exist in a viable deck to support it.

  • MTG Secret Lair Drop Today - Get Alt-Art Physical Cards, Sleeves in MTG Arena

They are pretty cards, but OMG are these overpriced. I thought about buying the kitties for my wife, but $40 for 5 playable cards and 2 tokens?  And then I'd need to spend another ~$40 to build a playable deck around them?  I get that this is moreso a collector's item than utility, but they could have at least include a few non-foil extras.

  • New Priest Reveals - Mindflayer Kaahrj & Chronobreaker

    Shine my little ethereal friend.

    Wretched Reclaimer

And Chronobreaker is a little Chillmaw that damages only opponents. Cheaper is better imo.

They obviously have to be better. If they weren't, something would be very very wrong :D

  • New Priest Reveals - Mindflayer Kaahrj & Chronobreaker

I really don't get it why this comment takes downvotes. He just said that the obvious term in all of your minds.

I feel like him too. They printed 3 Duskbreakers in this expansion which is not cool. Ok the effect is cool but they are same with Duskbreaker. Nothing new.

"Here, take a deathrattle Duskbreaker, Don't you like ? So here, You can deal damage to the face with this. " etc. etc.

  • New Priest Reveals - Mindflayer Kaahrj & Chronobreaker

Am I the only one that thinks the legendary is insanely OP? An almost fully stated minion that's also sticky to play around opponent's removal.  If its deathrattle was summon a 2/2 I would assume it would be played in every priest deck, but it can get much bigger minions as well?! I can imagine a situation when no-one wants to play any medium or bigger sized minion against priest without also a silence in their hand.

  • New Priest Minion - Mindflayer Kaahrj

I see this as a much more situational quasi-Sylvanas. Sure, the stats/cost make it playable, but the fact that it can't really be exploited with reanimate shenanigans is really a downer.

This might see play on efficiency alone, it's a decent 3/3 for three with potential upsides, but I don't really see this being a build-around card. My hunch is this won't see play until after rotation, if priest is still a thing then.

Can’t help but feeling a little disappointed... a cheaper, less effective Sylvanas Windrunner

The only similarity is that both cards have deathrattle, that's where the similarities end. enjoy your contest entry.

Oh come on. They're both deathrattles that give you a minion if your opponent has minions. They're not the same, but they're somewhat comparable, which is all the poster suggested.

  • Shu'ma

It forces your opponent to kill it the moment it's played. A card that fills the board is always annoying to deal with. It can be used in token decks or in Quest Hunter.
