I enjoyed LoR after getting the twitch drop. My 3 favorite Regions are Freljord, Ionia & Shadow Isles.
My first deck was Freljord/Ionia Poro's package. I managed to get 2 Braums + the Heart of the Fluff playing the tutorials so I crafted the Herder & 1 more Heart card to finish deck off. That plus my poor deck building skills turned into a disaster! I still somehow pull of 1 victory with a 12/12 Fluft of Poros lol.
The Poro deck would end up turning into an Elusive Nexus type deck.
There are stuff that I hate like damage being blocked after a unit is destroyed by Active abilities & spells. Example is Anivia's active spell destroying 1/2 health units but since they were blocking my attackers suddenly their Force Ghosts can shit on me, that's bullshit!!!!!!!!!!
I actually really like that mechanic. Sure if you're the attacker you'd prefer your attacks going to the nexus instead of doing nothing, but if this were the case, abilities and spells that can damage blockers before the attack phase would be really broken, because it would give way too much control to the attacking player who already gets to act first. Instead you can still choose to prevent your attackers from taking damage from their blockers with effects like this, which is still a very viable tactic but not immediately game-winning.
Full damage going to Nexus after units die can be abusive, but having Force ghosts full block is also bad. Maybe a solution would be attackers doing half damage or even a third damage and the justification can be the corpse of the dead unit being in the way thus making the attacker not get all of their hit in.
Any suggestions Vs renowock? Against aggro you survive, against fatigue you use Benedict, if you can't pull a combo with dirty rat then you can't do 30 damage in a turn
I had a recent talk with another user called AcidNoBravery, that some of you might know as NoBravery from HearthPwn. A thing we ended up talking about is the concept of "non-routine cards." Here, we're talking about the cards of a quality that we can't simply replicate every single time, but those are the few that stands out from the others.
Non-routine cards will be different from each person, and they've also changed in quality for myself. What i used to be really fond of having created in the past, is not always something that you're proud of having created 2 years down the line.
Nevertheless, here is an album of the cards that came to mind immediatly that i've made. There is likely more cards that i would consider to be non-routine, but these are the cards that came to mind immediatly when we dicussed the topic.
This is why I love it when card games have a short period of time where you have the whole collection at your disposal. You can actually go trial and error and tweak things a lot, and have the feel of what kind of deck works for you and what doesn't. Especially when we're talking about a new card game, getting the feel of what's good and what isn't is much needed.
And today I realized how much I was wrong yesterday. At least today is Sunday, so I can go all in on this game
Add to that the Blizzard controversy (which they are determined to make even worse for some reason) and you have a perfect setup for many players to jump ship.
LoR is from Riot Games. They came out immediately after the Blizzard controversy to warning their players not to say anything concerning "sensitive topics" (because supporting democracy is now sensitive).
They are 100% owned by the Chinese firm Tencent. They would be issuing the same punishments as Blizzard (if not more severe) had the situation happened in one of their tournaments.
I'm not saying this to absolve Blizzard, they should be held to account but you cannot exactly jump ship from Blizzard to Riot without understanding that Riot games is wholly in China's pocket, more so than Blizzard.

What I'm trying to say is that a lot of self appointed moral crusaders feel the need to abandon Blizzard alltogether, but won't have enough of a shared braincell to to do the research and therefore will jump the Riot train for an alternative that lets them pretend they defended democracy.
I fully respect the goal of the site, it makes sence that more games means more news, various community etc. It's definitely not easy to create new top1 portal for the game with 5 years of history.

I used to make the other Bolvar, Bolvar, Fireblood, deck when i was doing "Play 10 Divine Shield minions" quest :D It was hilarious when it worked lol! Also having 10 Attack Light's Sorrow is a sight to behold!

Holy crap.. this is a fun game, I've won games easily, won with 1 health left and... been beaten mercilessly.
Was playing a Tryndamere deck for the most part, crafted a Yasuo deck yesterday and am now just going wild trying every deck i can think of.
I can't believe this is the first preview.. this game is way too polished. Haven't even opened hearthstone in days.
Really looking forward to the next preview period.

Figuring out how the card crafting system works and feels is such a good experience to have IMO, so time well spent!
I hope you find some cards you like with them all being available so you can make some good crafts when the game launches.
