This. Many card games can easylie coexist, so I hope LoR will be a great game with solid fan base. I also want try how LoR so for now it's ok, but easthetic still bother me so far (also I never played LoL). What I can is for sure it's a game that is not boring to watch, and it's also important for it's potencially success.
In all fairness, not copying anything after 5 years of hearthstone is near impossible. Among over 300 base cards there got to be some similarity.
Also, the stats/mana ratio seems to be very close to HS. This makes the cards easy to understand for us hearthstoners and i like it!
I really don’t like the text arrangement in those cards. It feels Strange that the card name is higher or lower on the card dependent on the size of the text.
Try copying Magic as Hearthstone, practically every mechanic besides Discover was a 'theft'.
Finally a good use for those Splitting Axe's :D. I believe that 1 Bloodlust is enough because sometimes we'll win games from a big Evolve or The Storm Bringer. Sometimes a Mogu Fleshshaper into Mutate can also win games against other tempo decks. Feel free to experiment tho and see what works best for you and your playstyle!

I see large effort and professional setup in this game. Its more complicated and tactical and thats good. If they can manage balace and diversity this one is intresting. Setup reminds me on shadowrun. I am there as Wolfric.
The game isn't even in beta yet, so there will be a lot of changes to it before release.. It will be a main competitor for sure, and I don't think hs will be a "dead game" though. But, Blizzard will have to fight harder to get players, and hopefully put more effort into the game and into it's economy.

Most likely not. Hearthstone have too deep roots to be replaces by another card game

I've been playing LoR the last couple of days because I was lucky enough to get one of the twitch drops and man is it fun. I'm so sad that I will have to say goodbye to the game tomorrow. But, I'm looking forward to the full release and future LoR coverage here on the site. Also a side note: I've never played League but I'm already in love with all these characters and the world of Runeterra, because of this game!
Felt games ended way more quickly than they should've the hp pool seems really low, every attack to nexus is much stronger than in hs, been playing an aggressive discard deck (draven + jinx) and almost gone undefeated also augmented experimenter is a card that I am not sure how it even left the planning table that card not only is a jinx activator and a refill he deals 3 damage on top of that? also not restricted to followers?
I will explain it's effect: 6 mana: 3/3 (the stat value are slightly higher than in hs so it's 3.5 drop stats) discard your whole hand and draw 3 cards then deal 3 damage.
the only counter to it is deny(from ionia, 3 cost burst spell) or to recall it's target, ye this card does too much.
I mean sure the game isn't even in beta but I already got a feeling that such aggressive decks are way too good, also most people say "there's an advantage to the defender" well.. there is no advantage if the defenders get killed by burst spells and quick attack followers/champions.
I think aggro might be too good, but that being said I didn't face any actual control deck yet, maybe, I am not sure what is a control deck.. freljord?
All that being said probably played mostly against people who never played card games before, and I am probably too hung on this deck that is easy to build/pilot and is probably just beating unexperienced players rather than being strong, except the 6 drop that is stupid strong.
If you managed to get to rank 3 with your N'Zoth warlock then keep going I say. If you went a bad run I'd say you were just unlucky as you've already proved the deck.
like he said! if you can pilot the deck to rank 3 you can also make legend with it. N'Zoth warlock is doing pretty well and you should be able to take the deck to legend.
Well, Zihi is decent for aggro decks against control but nothing more. I tried him in Aggro and Zoo-ish decks and he does well against control but that's it.

Go to toast's stream, link your riot account and afk there (no need to type silly stuff) eventually you will get your key.
there also might be other streamers that do that, not sure which.

like he said! if you can pilot the deck to rank 3 you can also make legend with it. N'Zoth warlock is doing pretty well and you should be able to take the deck to legend.

Well, Zihi is decent for aggro decks against control but nothing more. I tried him in Aggro and Zoo-ish decks and he does well against control but that's it.
So i guess you could also play without him.
