  • Who's Ready For AOE:Definitive Edition on Steam?

    Quote From Esparanta
    Quote From ShotgunSoul

Age of Mythology needs a serious reboot. And I wouldn't mind if they added Aztec/Mayan mythos or, if miracle allowed (unlikely in today's political climate), the Hindu pantheon (do we know enough of the Mesopotamian gods and creatures for a faction?).

I bought the Asian expansion on Steam sale last year but it crashes constantly and refuses to load at times.

I'm in for AoM2 or whatever but recent patch (2.7) actually solved lots of performance issues. I advise you to check it out.

Nope, no change. Still crash to desktop.

/still have the AOM cds somewhere

I totally agree.  Brann is ok; the change wasn't that drastic but Sir Finley's art and character in the videos suggest he's suffered the consequences of a Devolve and some.. He's been fine in the adventure though. Just the looks.

As for Elise I don't mind saying it's an increase in confidence/ character maturing.

Then again I never played WoW so I really only know what LoE showed.

I think the problem is that the devs really like Elise, so much so that they can't handle her character objectively. I'd compare it to Ron and Hermione in the Harry Potter books versus the films: In the books Hermione is smart, but she's a bratty know-it-all with bushy hair and buck teeth. Ron isn't the most talented Wizard but he's incredibly loyal and brave. In the films they made Ron into a pathetic joke character and Hermione is perfect in every way, despite the fact that JK Rowling was involved in the writing and casting for the movies.

I haven't played WOW either so I don't know what the LoE is like there, but that latest Uldum cinematic really really rubbed me the wrong way.

  • Tombs of Terror - Fun/Strong runs

While there has been a few individual threads about single runs, or bosses, we haven't got a general "look at my awesome run", and I feel like it would be fun. So post them here!

    I'll start:

I was out to complete Chapter 2 (standard) with Reno after completing it with Finley, and also try out Lei Flamepaw at the same time. I ended up with this:

I've never used the Discs of Legend treasure before, but this time round I got 2, as well as getting Lei Flamepaw in my opening hand. This meant nearly every boss before the Plague Lord got burnt down by Eviscerate/Razorpetal spam (aided by the spell damage HP) by turn 5. Against the Plague Lord, All 3 Lei's died quickly enough, barely managing to take down the first 100 health, so I managed to tread water for a little while until I managed to draw Malygos. After that, I managed to finish the Plague Lord off from 120 health in one turn using Forgotten Torch/Razorpetal. Turns out getting 3 legendaries for every one played in preeetty good. Even if you don't manage to get that many legendaries in your deck.

So lets see the fun you've had in the tomb!

  • Renouncing Victory, With Style!

    Deck has 29 cards. What's card #30?

  • Looking to add people

There's actually a thread dedicated to trading 80 gold quests: https://outof.cards/forums/hearthstone/hearthstone-general/423-80g-quest-trading-play-a-friend.

I'm sure you can find people willing to play you there.

  • Looking to add people

Hey, sorry if this is not the place to do this.

Im looking to add people since most of the time I dont have people to spectate for quest or to complete the 80g. My battletag is Engineer8#1978 on NA.

    Cheers!

I'm more annoyed that they turned everyone in the League of Explorers except Elise into a total joke. Now Reno was always comic relief, and that's fine, but Brann was basically a dwarfish Indiana Jones and the joke with Finley is supposed to be the juxtaposition of a serious, studious scholar and a murloc. Making him a goofball just undermines the humour in the original premise: it's funnier to present something inherently funny with a straight face.

I don't mind that Elise somehow gets prettier every time she's released, but it absolutely bothers me that this seems to come at the expense of the rest of the league. In LoE her dry, pessimistic and condescending schoolteacher attitude was at least presented as a character flaw (sort of), but here in Uldum it's completely justified because the rest of the league have regressed into stupid unruly schoolchildren.

  • The Forgotten Wilds of Hearthstone - The Darkness Calls for Knights and Dragons

Dragon Tempo Warrior was so fun back in the days. I really wish it could be competitive viable also today.

  • Hearthpwn unsuable on mobile?

Never had any problems so far, but I barely use it.

A website without a proper mobile site ignores the potential it could have. How much internet traffic comes from mobile devices? 70%?

  • The Forgotten Wilds of Hearthstone - The Darkness Calls for Knights and Dragons

I used to play deathwing in dragon hunter deck with two copies of [Hearthstone Card (Seeping Oozeling) Not Found]. Obiviously not very succesfull deck, but it was always awesome to win after summoning 4+ big ass dragons

  • Highlander Face Mech

Nice deck! I am missing a few of the key cards, but substitutes like Reckless Rocketeer and Unleash the Beast get the job done.

Elise is Hearthstone-lore. I appriacte the wat she improves herself during the expansions.

  • Special Interactions missing- let's try to fix that.

With SoU bringing back so many key characters from WoW I expected at least some special dialogues.

It's kinda disappointing that nothing happens between two on-board Branns or Reno or between the Elise hero and any of the now numerous Elises (seriously - this is getting out of hand).

And these are just the obvious ones - nothing like "You'll pay! For Rhonin!" where you'd have to know the lore to get it.

Now I understand mobile storage is limited and also something about indie company but what in your opinion should've been some catchphrases ?

  • Group Therapy! Need to blow off some steam? Mega salty? Here's the place!

Things that need to change: -

Warrior - Still far too much removal, the deck is not fun to play against. You cannot get anything to stick to the board and the whole game is boring, long and unfun. Still!!

Shaman - MCT was fine and crops up in a meta every now and then. MCT with double battlecry whenever you want is not, having to play around two of them for the whole game at times is horrible design.

Priest - Even with the Extra Arms nerf it has done nothing to stop this high roll deck, the game is decided in the first few turns.

Paladin - Prismatic Lens into Murlocs, again not fun when it can be played so early, not only that if you do survive (which is slim in itself) you have Zephrys / Nomi come out really early too. Zephrys is being played in a deck that doesn't even suffer the downside of playing him!

These are the things that piss me off right now!

  • Murloc Plague-Lord OWNED

The boss is broken, you can't defeat him if you azari the devourer too soon.... Lost a run with bobs deck due to that

  • Rock, Paper, Scissors: Highlanderadin, Big Swing Druid, and a Mech Draw Machine Warlock

Sure it's a solid magnetising target for a sneaky lethal with SN1P-SN4P or something, but Siamat and Zephrys the Great are just so much better almost every single time. I pose that the Nightmare Amalgam draw will be a vanilla 3/4 more than 90% of the time. The two legendaries are just so powerful in comparison, Siamat poses as a significant threat, a strong defense or a removal option, and Zephrys the Great is just the Zilliax of this expansion. On the other hand, you have a 3/4.

That said, this is me judging just by intuition. Maybe it's actually the secret to the deck, I haven't tried it. Sorry if I sounded insulting, I'm honestly just giving my two cents.

  • Infested Goblin

I can't believe I missed how good this was in quest hunter ( The Marsh Queen ).

It can singlehandedly complete the quest with stuff like Play Dead or Nine Lives and is a good defensive option. No need for a deckfull of 1-drops.

  • Murloc Plague-Lord OWNED

    Nice play!

Will definitely be trying this out.

  • Wich is your Favourite Adventure?

Not hugely replayable, but flavour wise kft is pretty high up there for me. That opening game when your shitty deck gets trounced by the lich king was an awesome bm that I never saw coming. It also made for some brilliant streamer highlights, as their sad wee faces looked on as they got obliterated. Rising up again to fight as frost lich jaina was the icing on the cake.

In the same vein, I also loved rafaam in loe - "I like your deck, I think I'll TAKE IT!"

  • The Forgotten Wilds of Hearthstone - The Darkness Calls for Knights and Dragons

I miss that Tempo Dragon Warrior so much, shame its too fair these days and Fiery War Axe did its part too.

  • Brawl Block: Tinyfin Mode!

I'm having a lot of fun with this deck:

    Summon all around

    Tavern Brawl · Token Druid · by Cleef2 · 7 years ago

  • Steal the Opponent's Quest!

    Quote From MalcolmReynolds

Hey man, it has a 8.67% winrate, with a sample size of 1,000 games that is 67 wins you didn't account for. You need to give the deck a bit more credit, if you round down then you will make an almost decent deck look bad.

But no, I agree with you, this deck is just sad.

Well it crawled up to 9% so maybe there is hope? ;-)

But even for a meme the deck has a very low winrate and "regular" steal priest would perform better and having as much fun as this deck
