  • New Death Knight Spell - Corpse Explosion

Reminds me of Defile, except in reverse. My guess is it will be far easier to achieve large board clears, but that all depends on how many corpses you can bank.

  • New Death Knight Minion - Acolyte of Death

With the hero power and this, DK essentially has Life Tap without the self-damage.

  • New Shaman Minion - Unliving Champion

Given the other card that gives a minion a summon two zombies deathrattle, which this will go nicely with since there's no way the zombies won't also be undead, I think Blizzard is trying to make a Zombie Shaman archetype. Time will tell if it's successful or not.

  • New Shaman Spell - Deathweaver Aura

Should a least be okay. I'm going to assume the summoned minions will be undead, which might be helpful, assuming Shaman gets cards that synergize.

  • New Paladin Minion - Blood Matriarch Liadrin

Definitely going to be a prime target for Blessing of Kings, and you'll be really happy if Lightforged Cariel's hero power hits this. Not that Cariel has any trouble winning already.

  • New Paladin Spell - For Quel'Thalas!

I don't see how +5 attack for 2 mana can possibly be bad, even if +2 of it only lasts one turn. Realistically the other +3 won't likely last any longer.

  • New Neutral Spell - The Sunwell

A Hearthstone milestone. Not sure where the right hand-size/mana cost balance point is, maybe 4 mana/5 cards, but I recall Cyclone Mage being really popular, so this might be good. Yeah, that's the most recent 'fill hand with random cards' archetype I can think of without making the effort to look anything up.

  • New Neutral Minion - Invincible

That's a pretty large buff. Weak body, but that should make it easier to kill for the deathrattle buff. Plus there are a lot of ways to trigger deathrattles without killing a minion. Especially if you're Rogue.

  • Boon of the Ascended is a New Priest Hearthstone Card Revealed by LookSam for Castle Nathria

After the meta changed multiple times??? Dude, you can't say you were right when it took three months of balancing for a card to only be at 50%.

  • New Neutral Minion - Lor'themar Theron

This seems pretty nuts, though there isn't a whole lot of deck buffing. Imagine this when Survival of the Fittest was in Standard. But I guess that usually won with cards in your hand, so maybe the impact wouldn't be that great. And corrupt cards like Carnival Clown didn't get corrupted in your deck.

  • New Warrior Spell - Embers of Strength

Two 2/4 taunts in the mid or late game might not exactly be good, but if you have 2 mana left over, maybe it will slow your opponent down a little bit.

  • New Warrior Minion - Silverfury Stalwart

Well, this will probably be annoying to play against, since "elusive" taunt cards with high health usually are. Took me a couple of minutes to even think of that.

  • I'm in the Open Beta - AMA

There is more RNG now than there was when I made the comment.

But you didn't quote the entire section there - I specifically said that a lot of RNG comes from the locations. And obviously some of the cards have randomness built in. However, cards like Gambit will not always be random - like if the opponent only has one card, or only a few cards and all of them are valuable.

Only an idiot plays Morph, by the way.

Edit - all of that being said, I've had enough of Snap, personally. I got into the 2200+ Collection Level, and the vast majority of my opponents were just playing brain-dead BS counter-decks. Like, their entire deck is nothing but "screw you" cards. Example: One of my favorite decks requires killing off some units. So, I would set up my kill location, but the dying cards have low value, so I would usually not have priority for flipping. So, guess which card would nearly always come down on my opponent's side on the same turn I try to kill off my units? You guessed it - Armor. Or maybe they would switch it up and have Cosmo instead. Same difference. Almost every. Single. Time. Or if not that, they Shang-Chi my Death. So, maybe I switch to playing a Zoo deck with the Ongoing theme - it doesn't care about Armor, Cosmo, or Shang-Chi, so it should have better luck, right? Nope- in that case, they will have Enchantress for sure. Or the card that steals an ongoing ability, forget the name. And they always have Green Goblin and often Hobgoblin as well. Or else Professor X.

Most of the player base apparently loves winning the higher levels of Snap by just driving their opponent up the wall with frustration, while playing decks that don't have a wincon other than screwing over your opponent.

Got old enough that I'm done with the game. If I ever come back to it again, I'm starting with a fresh account, so I don't have to play against all that junk.

  • How do I level up useless cards?

You can get boosters for them randomly from reward chests as well.

  • New Mage Spell - Arcane Defenders

Two good-sized taunts that can't be removed easily. That should be good.

  • New Mage Spell - Arcane Bolt

Probably not going to be holding this until 8 mana if I draw this this on 3, but I think I will be happy to play this if I draw it late game and have a mana crystal left over to spend.

  • Hearthstone's New Death Knight Class and Its Upcoming Hero Portraits - With Other Cosmetics on the Way

Holy smokes, I take a break from Hearthstone for one expansion and there are a billion new things geez

  • Hearthstone's New Death Knight Class and Its Upcoming Hero Portraits - With Other Cosmetics on the Way

If something is added to reward getting over 1k wins, I believe it will require 2k wins to get.

  • Hallow's End Hearthstone Quests Overview - Event Decks to Unlock All Rewards

This event was a nice change from previous events and was managable to finish. Just need to do the main questline and a few event dailies. The bad thing is the decks needed to finish main quests are terrible but I feel it it is worth doing for the rewards.

  • Hearthstone's New Death Knight Class and Its Upcoming Hero Portraits - With Other Cosmetics on the Way

Not really a fan of the 3d legendary portrait. But more concerning is what it'll do to the game when on mobile, or slower PCs. Might be that it lags the game to such an extent that the portrait is simply unplayable. We've already seen the effects of Convoke the Spirits on mobile, I'd be sad to see it happening to this as well.

  • How do I level up useless cards?

Outside of waiting for fast levels to appear in the shop, i think you really do just have to stick em in decks. . . at least Abomination has a 9, the other two are just awful, haha

  • How do I level up useless cards?

There are cards like Misty Knight, Abomination or Shocker, that I will never play.

Is there a way to level them that doesn't involve just throwing them all in a deck and losing games?

  • Hearthstone's New Death Knight Class and Its Upcoming Hero Portraits - With Other Cosmetics on the Way

Is anyone else made uncomfortable by the 3d skins? Some serious uncanny valley stuff here.

  • Hearthstone's New Death Knight Class and Its Upcoming Hero Portraits - With Other Cosmetics on the Way

For me, the race to a 1000 wins with the new Death Knight class will start the very second the new March of the Lich King expansion goes live. Even if the DK class proves to be broken from the get go, it would probably still take me almost the entire length of the expansion to achieve this feat. Streamers will get there much sooner than us casual players.

By the way, I hope they will add another tier of wins per class because I have been preparing for it by having accumulated 1500 wins with all the old classes.

  • Rewards Track: Current progress 6.0

    Quote From Osh92

Guys, did anybody have the problem of claiming hero skin for reward track completion? After I choose and claim, nothing happens ...

I had no problems claiming them, but for me personally that was already two months and thus a couple of patches ago, so I cannot be sure that it still works today. Team 5 has become infamous for introducing many bugs with every patch, so it might indeed be broken right now, who knows?

In any case, there should be plenty of time still to claim them manually and if I remember correctly, any unclaimed rewards will be claimed automatically when the next rewards track becomes active. No need to be worried.

EDIT: @Osh92, apparently a lot of people are having this same issue but there is no word from Team 5 about a fix yet.
