This card might actually be enough for Reno decks to see play in Standart... If only Bomb Warrior wouldnt exist. 10/10 for Wild tho, neutral Kazakus is great.
With the addition of Cyclones and extra spells aggro is less of a problem, so thinning the deck with Arcanologist vs. waiting for Mad Scientist to die (or get silenced, ignored, etc.) can be preferable. Sorcerer's Apprentice could certainly be a 2-of but I was having trouble finding cards to ditch (which is why there aren't even any Blizzards).
The idea of somehow playing Hunter with Savage Roar as a hero power is pretty interesting.
But 20 minions is so many minions. A lot of those "double up" minions are going to be necessary.
Release the Hounds against a full board should count as 7, no? I
If yours is empty it definitely would. Though Swarm of Locusts seems to compliment it and the reward so well i don't see them not being played together. There's plenty of ways to summon a bunch of minions all at once
I didn't watch the stream but it sounds like this is no different from a Discover effect - so why didn't they just use the "Discover" keyword instead? "Wish for the perfect card" makes it sound like you will be given one card with no choice involved.
Sadly, it seems that Blizzard has sacrificed clarity and consistency for flavor (using "wish" because he is a Djinni).
Discover still involves a random element, like 'pick from three random cards of this type'. This analyzes the state of the match when it is played and determines the perfect cards for any given situation. If the situation is the same, it will give the same results. It also adds flavour with it being a lamp and all. It literally fulfills that moment when you think 'damn, i really would benefit from a Flamestrike right now or Pyroblast next turn'.
Reminds me of [Hearthstone Card (Kragwa's Lure) Not Found] from the Rumble Run, though this gives a set number of attack to your minions and has a bigger body.
This will really push Even Shaman in Wild over the top, imo. Dropping this on a board full of totems, which is what your board state usually looks like, could deal some serious damage. This slots well into an Aggro Shaman in standard, too.
Just interested, what made you to pre-order? Perhaps some particular cards?
Honestly as soon as i saw Zephrys the Great i was like 'yep this is awesome' but i am also a huge Priest player and they got amazing cards in this set, and the whole Reborn keyword is just ideal. Rogue as well, got some nutty stuff, and Hunter. Especially happy the thief archetype got a massive improvement.
This is for a 50 pack bundle, don't worry, we're not going to give out nothing!
Drawings will take place sometime on August 1st, I need to go through everything and make sure nothing funky has been going on with entrants which is always fun.
There are a bunch of references (I'm pretty sure there's a Monty Python one in there as well), but this set feels like it doesn't have that same 4th-wall breaking self-conscious humour that other sets had, especially KotFT. I will always remember Professor Putricide's (Among his more notable inventions: A tentacle-groomer, a plague that would wipe out all life on Azeroth, and a fidget spinner) and Hagatha the Witch's (Curse-bringer, tree-twister, mother of wretched things…Hanzo main).
You won't see this often in Standard. Wild, another story.
Wild doesn't see Bomb Warrior (Big Priest, Quest Mage, Even and Control Shaman are all bad matchups for it, and those decks should remain to be the top of wild), so expect this funky wish card along with the Uldum-flavored Reno and Co. to be seen there where bombs can't screw up the deck.
Most tech cards in wild are to prevent OTKs or 1-cost spells, so at worst it might get yanked out of your hand or deck.
/Big Priest often isn't fast enough against Quest Mage and shaman can ruin its minions, so that deck may see less play. Jade Druid might be returning in its place in Wild though, and that doesn't help slow warrior decks.
Control Warlock can utilize some of the more aggressive cards (Tekahn in particular), but I have to agree, it's lacking something more than lackeys.
Portal Warlock didn't get anything other than more big targets to throw in the mix. Being able to generate more portal spells would help a lot for one of the more original decks we've seen.
Getting into a long game with a Control or Bomb Warrior or Control Shaman won't have the odds in your favor, Big Shaman (Colossus of the Moon could rise this fun and above average deck) and Uldum Quest Priest probably can outlast you as well (I don't see it as the main course card of priest decks, but one hell of a mid-to-late game threat), but you do have a chance against Conjurer's Mage with the removal and minion generations.
Another concern is the emphasis on sticky minions. If reborn stuff is viable, problem.
Save room for silences if Lucentbark Druid decks become viable.
Bet: Warlock probably remains a mainstay for wild in the Uldum meta with various deck options, but only shows aggro in standard.
Definitely High Priest Amet. I don't play Priest that much (who does in the current meta?), but this is such a unique design that could give rise to new archetypes for the class. Its effect, while not OP, could enable a lot of weird shenanigans in both meme and competitive play. I can't wait to play around with this card.
Also, how can you not love the Animal Farm reference in its flavor text?

I want the new rogue quest card:
Bazaar Burglary
Looks like a great reward for finishing the quest and I want to try it out.

[Myth Busted] A cultist in the Crystalsong Forest
Well done my boy well done! I had more fun reading your guide than playing the game :D
New Hunter Spell - Unseal the Vault
If yours is empty it definitely would. Though Swarm of Locusts seems to compliment it and the reward so well i don't see them not being played together. There's plenty of ways to summon a bunch of minions all at once

New Hunter Spell - Unseal the Vault
Release the Hounds against a full board should count as 7, no? You could activate the quest the same turn Hounds is played for 21 damage.
Beaming Sidekick
Not "triggered", mildly bemused. I didn't have a PTSD flashback or anything.
New Shaman Minion - Vessina
Flametongue Totem died for this? ☺
New Priest Minion - Sandhoof Waterbearer
The art is weird. Looks like a Tauren with a human face mask. Otherwise good card
New Neutral Minion - Mischief Maker
Good for a brawl, or a meme trolling deck.
This expansion in particular has brought out better yank-the-combo cards than this though.
/Seems Blizzard is concerned about wild -- Quest Mage is the big threat there. But this card would be a longshot vs. that deck.
Sandhoof Waterbearer
This is amazing. You can have two of these! Just don't play it with Auchenai Soulpriest, Embrace the Shadow, or Auchenai Phantasm lol.
New Shaman Minion - Vessina

A Less Friendly Game of Chess
I used Daring Escape, Plaguebringer, Sap, Zilliax, Plague Scientist and Shadowstep. The bounces help you reposition your pieces, and some people insta-concede when they see the poisonous minions drop.

The effect and card art are hilarious. One of my favorite cards from this expansion.

I'm ready to see this card regularly appear in Trolden videos. It's really bonkers.
I'm really worried about SoU warlock
