  • Runeterra's Upcoming "The Darkin Saga: Domination" Expansions Gets a New Trailer, Launches October 12

I... guess Varus is gonna be in it? There's not much else to go on from the video. After the Bandle City animated videos, this trailer featuring a camera slowly zooming in and out of card art looks like they made this trailer on the cheap, and it shows.

A 2 minute developer update video with some talking heads in front of a camera, announcing the new expansion, would've been better.

  • Updated Early Known Issues and Fixes for Hearthstone's Patch 24.4 - Theotar Bug, Disabled Packs & Max Stats for Mercenaries, One Battlegrounds Quest Too

It does feel wrong as written, and it bit me today: I got a Ragnaros portrait even though there are legendaries (Ysera, for example) that are not in my collection.

    Hi,

I'm having the issue of not being able to login from my phone (ColorOS 12.1 = Android 12), while using the Dolphin browser (firefox is fine) because i get an infinite loop during the security check:

    outof.cards

Checking if the site connection is secure

outof.cards needs to review the security of your connection before proceeding.
This screen keeps on reloading, for eternity, every 20 seconds or so. The funny thing is, i never had any issues with this browser and the site did let me login properly some time ago.

I've tried clearing the cache and cookies. Still the same problem.

Also, there is an issue with loading the main page, with any mobile browser i've tried. It's impossible to click on anything, and usually those clicks end up activating the wrong stuff, for 5-10 seconds upon entering the site. There is some heavy processing in the background most likely, but it also locks up the page's actions.

Others and I have posted some comments about it, on one of the last posts by Flux about the site improvements or something similar. Unfortunately i cannot find it anymore (how can i see my comment history?) and can't remember what to look for exactly.

This was the original thread 😉

Unfortunately, no new feedback nor has the issue been fixed in the meantime which is a pity. In the past, I enjoyed my daily frequent visits on OoC, but since the big site update this experience has gone downhill significantly. Currently, the Hearthstone meta is also not enjoyable (at least for me). Really makes me wonder whether I should keep spending my time and interest on this game.

  • [Custom Mini-Set] Halls of Origins

    Very cool mini-set!

I like how experimental some of the cards are, especially Mirage Magician and Gaze of the Shadows and Hand of Defiance.

There are some minor spelling mistakes and a card that doesn't feel like it belongs to its class (Living Pyramid; maybe if it had Reborn instead of Divine Shield it would be less glaring?), but very good job overall.

Two weeks to go; let's count 'em down!

...My hype fell away as time went on, so I'm trying to rebuild it haha

  • We Can Expect To See More Hearthstone Hotfixes This Week, But No Big Balance Changes Patch

Yeah, Throne of the Tides mini-set also felt a bit weak compared to last years'. I don't know if that's good or bad though. Last year had incredibly strong mini-sets.

    Collecting is a helluva drug.

Honestly though, there might be some decent value in it for aftermarket sales while acquiring some other cards for personal use. Getting some mint oldschool lands would be such a cool addition to the card collection and would be fun to use in sleeved decks.

With them being non-tourney legal though, I was expecting this to be much cheaper. Definitely a premium, but with cards having changes on them, in a lot of cases these are just going to end up as "official proxies" so making them more affordable woulda been nice.

  • Building The Worst Champion In Lor

Honestly I was even winning into Fiora Pantheon, which is the big bad meta deck designed by the galaxy brain try hards.

So I would say deck just fine, like don't get me wrong pale cascade, healing touch are very easy value generators, but 4 mana one way strikes are pretty good.

Like if you want run vlad in freijord or targon, the cards fine just don't run  the crimson pkg because the followers will let you down everytime in regards to the current power curve.

    -----side note-----

A lot of what is considered good in this game is easily exploitable play patterns resulting in a rock paper Scissors meta.

I play a 5/7 boat, hahaha I play my 7/7 spellshield with single combat, win game...like yeah you did but what happens when your opponent has brain cells and isn't playing the overstated Swain deck for there is only one.

Or haha I'm gonna flood the board with Nami, and boom there's my Fiora to harass your garbage nothing plays.

And now you have a meta deck...Rock paper Scissors. Meanwhile anyone with a brain can turbo out interesting wincons and play patterns with under utilized archetypes and all of a sudden the rock paper Scissors goes out the window and you auto win.

Competitive or meta players are essentially marchup wizzards but outside of that not really great brewers or players.

  • Have Bliz stopped selling card backs for cash now?

    Quote From dapperdog

I dont think it was announced. But pretty much yeah, right after it was made available to be bought from the collection manager its simply never on sale for real money anymore, or at very least I havent seen it on sale for a long time.

Although, technically you can just use up gold for card backs and buy packs with real money runestones, like at the start of expansions. That way you're using real money to buy card backs, in a manner of speaking.

    Thank you.

This is what I have started doing now (I didn't notice I could at first, so spent all my Gold from welcome back quests on packs)

I got June and July from 2020 so far (the Blue version of the Emerald Dream and the "Rising Up" which is Bread)

I got that new Baker Brann skin, so the Loaf of bread Cardback was perfect to go with this, the colours even line up as well.

I think next I will get "Legion" as I missed that one due to thinking it would be in the WoW special edition, and was always pretty down over missing it.

All in all though, I guess it's more fair that they do it this way, as then everyone can have a chance at getting ones they have missed. I'd still have bought the cash ones though as well.

With this info though, I will have to pick up the old Halloween one and the Yogg Sarron one as well. I was hoping to be able to get them with cash. Only ones I caught when they were a few pounds each was the C'thun one, the Cupcake and the Thrall one. I kept checking back, but must have missed the others.

being able to buy them all with gold gives me yet another reason to keep playing the game as well, though. Although I'm sure a lot of veterans were not happy about this change, it must be healthy for the game, as it gives people something to work towards. Also newer players won't have to look at the collection book and see all these awesome designs they missed... used to kill me seeing all the previous ones I'd never get to own.

it's all one big ranked mode so the beta players shouldn't even be playing against the new players

  • Have Bliz stopped selling card backs for cash now?

I remember a few years back, they started selling specific card backs during certain seasons in the in-game store (like the pumpkin one at Halloween, etc)

Since they implemented the ability to buy older card backs with gold, have they now stopped selling them for cash as well?

I was holding out getting some of the ones I missed with Gold, and I thought I'd be able to get them with cash at some point. I've not seen one for sale in this manner for a long time now though.

I've googled this topic a bunch, and can't find any info on the matter... wondered if anyone here knows what's up?

    Thanks.

While I definitely agree with your sentiment, I'd probably say the same thing with Throne of the Tides min-set. The overall power level for the last 2 mini-sets feel tame compared to last year's releases. But ofc this is my opinion, I haven't looked at any stats.

  • MARVEL SNAP's October Season is Symbiote Invasion, New Card Miles Morales

How does it work when this game is officially released?   Do the ones in Beta keep their advantages and prey upon the meek? Do the beta players only match against each other or is it just a free-for-all?

  • Prince of Murlocs

    Hey Esparanta!
Thank you so much for this deck, I've been playing with it and it's been a blast.
The fact that there are no votes or comments here is a travesty, so I'm trying to fix that myself.
Ever since I started playing I've always thought Unite the Murlocs looked really cool, I just am not a fan of aggro at all.
    But then I found this, and it's countrol-y value-y goodness! It's perfect.
The base list is already good, I just had a couple of changes I'd thought I'd share here.
Out: Dilligent Notetaker, Elementary Reaction, Spirit Echo, Canal Slogger, Spammy Arcanist, Emperor Thaurissan
In: Instructor Fireheart, Gorloc Ravager, Bru'kan of the Elements, Ice Fishing, Slitfin Spiritwalker, Firemancer Flurgl
I will concede that Slitfin Spiritwalker is a bit overkill (and probably not very good), I just think it's neat. I think that Ice Fishing fits in than Elementary Reaction, but it is less cool.
Gorloc Ravager should definetly be in here, it makes Scargill + Clownfish that much better. Bru'kan is definetly good for the grindier control centric games, it has cheated me out some wins in the past.
Anyways, thank you for the decklist!

Kazakusan had a massive impact. Both druid and priest had decks that rushed out Kazakusan.

Onyxia's Lair also gave us Scale of Onyxia - which is a crucial card for all ramp druid decks - and Drakefire Amulet. Most of the big spell mage core comes from mini sets - Grey Sage Parrot and Deepwater Evoker are from Deadmines. The Wailing Caverns included Wailing Vapor and Primal Dungeoneer which made Elemental Shaman a real deck.

My early impression is that Maw and Disorder is a lower impact mini-set than all 3 of last years' mini-sets.

  • Building The Worst Champion In Lor

Vlad is decent champion who happen to be in the wrong region, to work he require access to defensive combat tricks and healing which doesn't fit with Noxus identity, Noxus is all about aggression their unit's tend have high attack and multiple ways to inflict damage to the nexus but in exchange of that they are fragile and lack protection.

This is way I like the idea of him being rotated and redesigned into something more in line with Noxus identity.

  • Webz' Jailer Ignite the World Mage

Great Deck, looking forward to trying this out later.

(Local Man again, just another different name)

  • Building The Worst Champion In Lor

With the talk of rotation recently, and Vlad being mentioned by the devs for a big reason why cards need to be shifted in and out of the game. I wanted to see if I could build a highly competitive and new Vlad deck.

Here's the list its very powerful and wins non stop into certain regions and matchups. Is it just worse then Fiora, Pantheon with strikes challenges and purple equipment - maybe but not everything needs to be a binary equation.

The point was that old champions are exceptionally viable, old champion pkgs (supporting cards) are not however every single crimson card is kinda awful.

So rather then rotating and redesigning viable champions out of standard they should be patching and updating followers to be viable.

Adding tough for example to his followers without the need to draw one specific landmark in freijord etc.

But yeah still not sold on rotation as this brew proves vlad in a vacuum is a great card, it's just everything else supporting him is under the power curve and had to be replaced with recent awakening followers.

  • We Can Expect To See More Hearthstone Hotfixes This Week, But No Big Balance Changes Patch

Well this statement would be true for every mini-set release, as no mini-set has created a brand new archetype in the past.

What Maw and Disorder has done is raised Paladin from the dumpster (slightly) so it's a fun class to play again. It's also given Hunter more efficient tools to beat everyone else, thus increasing the class' win rate. Expect Hunter to take a hit in the next round of nerfs.

You may be facing the same archetypes, but that doesn't mean your opponents aren't using new cards. To be fair, most classes are only using 1 or 2 new cards, so the chances of seeing those cards in every game is slim.

  • We Can Expect To See More Hearthstone Hotfixes This Week, But No Big Balance Changes Patch

I have seen very little impact from the Miniset cards. Almost all opponent decks were as previously
