I don't play a class exclusively, but I appreciate some of the streamers who do that. For example, I like tuning in to Fibonacci knowing that he'll be cooking up some kind of warrior deck. There's some comfort in that consistency.
Take a look, included a deck description. It's funky and fun. Climbed very quickly from 15-10. Obviously not the hardest ranks but smooth sailings. In the deck description I went into depth of the way to beat control warriors easy peasy with this deck.
tl;dr: 1. Omit needless words from the top of all pages keeping username and add our avatars. 2. Take the information from number one and add that to member page along with a button that shows a list of our posts. 3. Add filter to find decks that use a given card (Hearthpwn's "Contains". 4. Celebrate artists of card art. 5. Is Gamepedia's website going to stop? (sister website of Hearthpwn).
Tell us what you love about the site.
I recently visited the card page for Deathwing, Dragonlord and I noticed that on the top of the page there was a banner for Whispers of the Old Gods. It was so well done that I kind of overlooked it. So I started looking at other cards and even Wilfred Fizzlebang has a banner celebrating the card set where this card came from. I wanted to say that design choice looks really nice.
I love that you provide the font choice Helvetica.
I love how the moderators respawn super quickly. It feels like a small community even though I am pretty sure this site is growing in popularity.
Give us details on the things you hate.
I can't change the text color back to the original/default color using the text color options
This is the original color. This is white. This is gray. This is medium gray. I can't customize the color nor do I really care.
I hate that I can't really keep track of my posts. I think there should be a link to my posts on my member's page just like there is a threads box.
The very top heading looks awkward: Hey, ArcticFox! [Profile] [Manage] Sign Out]
I like where it says my name but that's it. If you want to keep the "Hey," so be it but the rest is awkward and probably should be revisited in the future. "Profile" is [bad] redundancy. "Profile" and "Manage" should not be the third word on every page on this website. It simply is not that important. So if you hid those two options the top of the page would read "Hey, ArcticFox Sign Out" and perhaps some people might feel that I should sign out (Kappa) but that probably is not the best heading for this website which is why "Sign Out" should be hidden as well. It is nice to see my avatar which I selected and I think it should appear to the left or above my username.
Think you have an idea to make something better? Tell us!
Box up the headings "Out of Cards Beta," "Decks," "Cards," "Deckbuilder," "Expansions," "Guides," "Forums" and use some kind of image or icon. It would reinforce the idea that the user can click directly on them.
Provide us with new ideas that you'd like to see us implement to make HearthStation even better.
I would like to Filter your list of decks by cards or "Contains." When I get a new legendary card I will want to search up the best decks that include that card and a search option similar to Hearthpwn would be appreciated. I only know that there is not a single deck that uses Wilfred Fizzlebang because I visited the card page and the "Top Decks" section was completely missing.
Celebrate Artists of Cards:
Provide the name of the artist of each card in their respected card home page. This might be easier while Hearthpwn is still up. I wouldn't have known that Alex Horley did the art for Deathwing, Dragonlord had hearthpwn not included that information.
On a side note is Gamepedia stopping their services too as their Hearthstone section is called Hearthpwn? If they are closing shop there might be a lot of useful information that will be leaving the internet. Information like when certain expansions were released to help with my own personal predictions of future expansions.
First post on outofcards, switching from hearthpwn.
This bundle seems good because you get a skin and a cardback outside of the 1€/$ per pack, but i promised myself that i'll only spend Money in Hearthstone to support wild (happened with the wild bundle).
I actually have two accounts. One was my old account that I forgot the log in credentials for. I stopped playing for a couple of years and then picked it back up. I remembered the credentials after I built up a good card pool in the new account. What I did is dust other classes so that in one I play Shaman and the other I play Priest. I have all the cards I would want to make any deck for those two classes. Works great as a free to play player and I enjoy those classes the most.
The only thing in this post that I'd agree with is that preventing new runs from starting 6-8 hours prior to a rotation is excessive. Maybe 1-2 hours prior is enough.
To look at both sides though, what if someone is playing an Arena run right up to rotation and they are on pace for their first ever 12-0 finish? Then before they can get there the rotation happens, their run expires and they are forced to start over before hitting that 12-0? That wouldn't feel very good either.
So what this discussion boils down to is there is no clear cut way to make everyone happy. The way things are now don't seem to bother too many people as this is literally the first time I've ever heard a complaint about it, and as we know from the Internet people with complaints are typically very vocal about them. Therefore, if it were upsetting a lot of people, the Arena lockouts would have as many forum posts about them as Big Priest does.
I put soul of the murloc back into the deck because I would like the deck to be as sticky as possible. I know this is not a token deck, but having tokens left behind if stuff gets cleared is beneficial to our game plan.
I will see how it goes anyway, as still undecided if I want frogs. If I was to have frogs though, I might be inclined to add another zero cost card for the sake of drawing, and I really doubt I have room for all of those changes. maybe just a storm chaser to grab the bringer or bloodlust will be enough draw. If I start worrying too much about draw, the deck will completely change I feel.
I don't know if Zentimo fits the deck. If you want to keep Zentimo in, then I would at least add Big Bad Voodoo and/or Ancestral Spirit for added stickiness. Big Bad Voodoo may not work as well since your highest cost minion is only 5. Mechanical Whelp could be a good addition with Big Bad Voodoo or Ancestral Spirit. Safeguard is another great choice giving you two strong taunt minions for 6 mana. You could also consider adding Storm Chaser to draw one of your big spells. Just some thoughts to play around with.
I play mainly Shaman and do like creating unusual decks. Most recently I have been running a Dragon Shudderwock deck that is a bunch of fun.
In case the history bar is too small, here's what happened: Emerald Goggles into Animal Companion, Huffer busted the Cache, then second Companion into Banana Split. Yes, this was a turn 2 lethal.
The FTP grind with MtG is sooooo much easier than Hearthstone and much more rewarding. I have only played for a month and feel like I already have a fairly substantial collection and haven't spent a penny on the game.
It's really not as horribly slow and grindy as Hearthstone, so I would recommend keeping going with it - you get (usually) at least a pack a day (and more), so it feels like good progression - whereas with Hearthstone you can barely make a noticable addition - probably due to Hearthstone being so limited on cards, etc.
I know MTG feels generous, but in reality the number of cards you get compared to what you will need for a competitive deck is pitiful.
I tried MTG earlier this year, grinding for free for a while. It didn't take me long to realize I would never in a million years have a competitive collection until I dropped some cash -- the lack of a crafting system ensures that. I actually applaud their decision to prohibit the player from destroying his own cards, but trust me, as f2p you will never get enough wild cards to make all the rares you need for a truly good deck.
I finally did fork over some money -- about the same as I would spend on a Hearthstone expansion, just to be fair -- and things got better. I was able to make the decks I wanted, more or less, but I still quit eventually, due to my personal problems with the game itself.
So in summary, the "generosity" of MTG is an illusion; the game itself is not terrible, but I'm personally not a fan.
Let's discuss buff priest and how good/bad it looks after the buffs
One in 205 (at this time) chance to win. We need more contestants!
No doubt the word will get around after Hpwn closes its doors and the floodgates to OoC will open.

Put a deck together to try out the buffed Priest cards. Turn 1 against a Mage, Cloning Device into Sorcerer's Apprentice. Turn 2, play her, Power Word: Shield, coin, Extra Arms. The snowball was real; reminded me of the good old days with Radiant Elemental. Ended up with turn 5 lethal, two 7/7s, a 5/5, and a few 1/1s because I drew my other Extra Arms, Faceless Rager and Sand Drudge. Good times.

It never fails. Anytime Blizzard gives away free stuff in any amount, in any context, someone finds a way to actually complain about it.
You call them on it, and they cook up the weirdest, most convoluted reasoning for their nonsensical position.

I don’t think it’s worth it. But I also have a general rule of not paying any subscriptions for games/news/websites
