Also just arriving from HearthPwn and super relieved that this is here as HearthPwn was my daily morning ritual to put off work (though I never got the super secret achieve :() Is there a thread of post on her that explains what exactly happened? I assume Flux isn't allowed to speak about it on HearthPwn due to some contractual obligations with Curse or something, but was just curious what went down.
Mostly just pumped that the content I've enjoyed for so long will continue!
I think you will also see some fusion decks which have more than one win condition. Take for instance the mage conjurer variant. You could call it a combo deck when you hit giants etc. you win. If you hit on an insane spell refill turn with cyclone you could start a tempo play. And then you could win the late game using fireballs and Antonidas.
Add some more freezing to it (like a lot have done to improve it) and you gain more "control" aspects...stalling the game for a few turns so you can unleash your conjurer spells. But still, aggro will remain popular because if you win you win fast :) and with the mech-astation of late aggro gets a boost using the magnetic stuff which when in control of the board can turn any mech into a charge minion.
I work a desk job for the state of South Carolina , get two 15 min breaks & an hour lunch. During these times are when I am able to play the most due to the fact that I have kids which are more important than any rank. So I am gonna be a little sandy when I can't play one of the few games I have time to play.
Unless you're their employer you probably shouldn't care what they do or don't do while at work.
I mostly play mage, used to play a lot of hunter early on. Then cubelock was my main stuff. Recently tried some druid and war and shaman. Only golden hero is mage though.
I've played almost only Priest from beta to Raza the Chained nerf. After that I've never founded another archetype that I really enjoy to play so I've switched on Warlock: actually having fun with Reno Mecha'thun into Wild.
I was running Spirit of the Shark and it can certainly put an immediate clock on your opponent, and is also really useful for drawing with Witchwood Piper. I suppose that could be considered 'core' too, eh?
In summary, we’re all searching for ways to survive early and the optimal cycle/draw engine later. I’m all in for Magic Carpet, but there were a lot of useful suggestions like Serrated Tooth or Bronze Gatekeeper. What do you think about them
Mobile patch should arrive in the next couple of hours according to this post.
The 14.4 update for mobile will now begin at or around 9am PDT tomorrow morning, June 4. The update will take some time to complete, so please allow an hour or so to see the update reflected on your device. We will provide updates during this time as well so you know when to expect to see the game live.
MTG:A is really the first true competitor to HS. I don't see it going the way of Artifact. As such, I imagine HS will continue to evolve and tweak it's new player/F2P experience to compete.
You can see that it already has in a lot of ways. We get far more free packs than we did 3-4 years ago. There are a number of free legendaries that are given away each cycle. They're introducing more cosmetics than they've had in years in order to give people who want to spend money something to spend their money on. etc.
With Pogo Hopper being buffed to a 1-drop, I believe this now offers a lot of flexibility and possibilities for building a successful Pogo deck. It's less the fact that you can and will play PH on 1, but the fact that it's faster to combo with cards like Lab Recruiter and Daring Escape.
After trying out some ideas last night, here's what I would consider to be "core":
I'm still undecided about which draw engine(s) are best. We could add a couple of Preps and Auctioneers. We could add Thalnos and Acolyte of Pains. Probably want to add at least one FoK. Last night I was trying out 2x Daring Escape but two might be overkill. There's also the possibility of Sprint and/or Vanish. Lastly, because this deck can take a few turns to get going, we need some early survivability. That will either be through spell removal (like Walk the Plank) or contesting the board with tempo oriented minions, like SI:7.
What are you all playing with? What are your ideas for resurrecting this deck?
Me neither. Seems the Casual Mobile Set (which is supposed to be the bread and butter) has been forgotten? I just don't have the sort of lifestyle or job that allows me to play HS on anything other than my Mobile.
You haven't been forgotten, there was a twitter response/update somewhere I saw where they said there were issues with the app stores deploying the patch.
As for your comment about lifestyle/job. I should hope you aren't making a regular habit of playing HS at your job. You're getting paid to do work, not fuck around on Hearthstone. I don't give a crap if other people have jobs that do allow them to play Hearthstone, doesn't fucking matter if it's on mobile or if it's on PC, you're there to work, not play games.
As for your "lifestyle". What does it matter if you have to play on PC for a day or two until the App Stores push the update through? Unless the only time you ever can play Hearthstone is on a commute or "not-at-home" then you have other problems, like allocating "you" time at home, or a spouse that will let you play games at home if that's the case.
Once again, another infantile whiny comment with a "me me me, the world needs to revolve around me" mindset.
Maybe if you got the sand out of your vagina you wouldn't care as much what strangers on the internet do on their job
Why do they keep adding new Shaman skins?! Don't they know Morgl is superior to all?
Why can't they give us any new Warrior or Hunter skins considering they both only have 1 alternative which are both the oldest alternative skins in the game and Shaman has 4 skins now.
It's weird but I largely only play one class. And it's the same class I play in WoW - paladin. I know that makes no logical sense in a card game but ... every time I dabble in another class I just don't enjoy it. I also know it limits my ability to be truly great at this game. But for whatever reason I enjoy playing pally and only pally.
Any other single-class Hearthstone players out there?
Just came here from Hearthpwn

Have you tried Pogo Rogue?
Not since the buffs, but I plan to play pogo-rogue for the whole June season, so I'll come back in a few days :)
Let's discuss Pogo Rogue, post buff patch - what are your ideas?
Ooh I hadn't even considered Magic Carpet.

Hey Kaladin! Nice to see you made it over here :)
I’m still waiting for the mobile patch to arrive, but you can find my ideas here:

We’ve also already had a little discussion over here: https://outof.cards/forums/hearthstone/game-modes/standard/350-post-buff-pogo-hopper-rogue

This has been resolved in a ninja update this morning.
Let's discuss Pogo Rogue, post buff patch - what are your ideas?
Magic Carpet and Barista Lynchen are definitely good options. I was experimenting with some things yesterday. [Hearthstone Card (tak noswhisker) Not Found] and Spirit of the Shark work quite well also. Daring Escape can be handy.
Any Other Single Class Players?
Not single class, but about half the classes
1k Druid wins
700 Mage
700 Rogue
400 warlock
Pally, Shaman, Warrior all <100. Hunter I have 24 ranked wins, total lol
