Very nice card, not strong enough to be included in every deck but still a lot of potential in the new minion mage they are trying to create. And no, it's not going to be a removal (maybe only in very extreme situations), it's going to be a weaker cube for the mage, with a power level reduced could be fine
The card has a ton of potential, I love the design. Flexible as a value generator for your own minions (Deathrattles, expensive battlecries, low health minions) or desperation removal for an annoying enemy minion.
If Khadgar isn't the only "summon" synergy in mage, this kind of minion heavy midrange Mage could be successful. Imagine playing Scarab Egg on 2 into this card on 3: Three 1/1s and two 2-cost minions for basically 1.5 cards. That's a very strong board very quickly.
Alone, this card seems peculiarly slow but powerful, as a possible perfect fit for a mid-range shaman. The previously stated pool of spells available in the first and second choices as well as the seemingly consistency that a much smaller one that in this fresh year of the Dragon will be brought, I can confidently enough say that this is a good, balanced Shaman legendary minion.
Now, for the Shudderwock lovers:
Given the previous nerfs to the once broken all-mighty Shudderwock, the new year of the Dragon and the introduction to new possibilities on this new expansion, we can now delightfully appreciate the true intended beauty of the previously mentioned card, by switching a dull, annoying and skill-less (if there is such a thing in Hearthstone) spam-centered deck to a more versatile, fun and even creative one. Swampqueen Hagatha will bring back what never was for our Wocky terror.
Archivist Elysiana (3): I can see this working out in some spots. Playing it will be tricky, but I can see some upside with this to make up for the initial tempo loss.
Hench-Clan Hag (2): It's going to be at least an above average, potentially meta defining neutral minion. I like the stat distribution a bit better then Grim Necromancer
Dimensional Ripper (5): Should be undraftable for Arena. 10 mana to pull 2 minions of various quality, ew.
Shimmerfly (2): It's comparable and worse then Babbling Book , but still a decent card, and a beast as well.
so...does Khadgar work with deathrattle minions as well?
Would dropping Mechanical Whelp on turn 5/6 followed by Khadgar and Conjurer's Calling next turn lead into full board with 2x 7/7 and 4x random 6-cost minion ? Or am i missing something?
This card has so much value even if you don't combo with it as you can trade with a bigger minion then if it lives with little life you can the kill it off and get to full mana cards
Comparable to Effigy, but so much better in most ways. Also has great Synergy with Khadgar. I'd imagine a control mage where you play Hexmaster for value, do a value trade the next turn if it lives, play Khadgar and destroy your own Hexmaster for 2 copies of 2 random 8 drops
I think this card could go in two different directions:
1. You play this alongside cards like Togwaggle’s Scheme or Lab Recruiter, then focus on adding a large quantity of two or three minions that combo well together to achieve some OTK or Anti-Fatigue Loop ala Dead Mans Hand. Not quite sure what those cards would be, if any exist in standard.
2. You play this alongside cards like Academic Espionage and seek to swarm your hand and deck with random 1-cost cards. Would probably vary by matchup, as you would rather have certain class cards over others. Would also depend on the full pool, which we won’t know until all cards have been revealed.
Which means this is a pretty short list, with mostly good options. I think this will be a very good card in any Zul'jin deck.
5/11 chance to highroll a 5/5, 3/5, 3/4, 2/3 poisonous, or 3/4 with an upside
Only a 2/11 chance to lowroll a 1/4 taunt or a 2/1.
2/11 chance for a vanilla 3/3.
1/11 chance for a 3/3 taunt.
1/11 chance for a 4/2 stealth.
So, 82% of the time it will be a good or OK result (for basically free). And if you're hunter, it's a free beast 100% of the time for the beast synergies.
Any ideas when we might get that new legendary card?
It should be given the week before the expansion's release.
If I'm not wrong was something like that when Marin the Fox was given.
Any ideas when we might get that new legendary card?
ImI so excited to try that new card! Any ideas when Blizzard might release it?
Rise of Shadows
This expansion keeps getting crazier..
Here is hoping we get a fresh fun meta
New Rare Mage Spell - Conjurer's Calling
I feel it would have been a great warlock card. Of course it's great with any class but to me, it fits into what it means to be a warlock
New Mage Spell - Conjurer's Calling
This could possibly be the first card to be nerfed. I know I am keeping every copy i get ;)
Rise of Shadows
Really nice guide, thanks
New Legendary Minion - Archivist Elysiana
Very strange but lots of value, personally don't like it.

Hypeee!! :)
Rise of Shadows
Hoped to see more dragons in this expansion, Kalecgos and Nozari are cool though. Overall looks like a good expansion to start the year. A

Can't wait to try this out.

Getting anxious now, can't wait :D
New Card Reveal - Batterhead
Also could be used for some reach to face after killing a small minion, unlike Walking Fountain for example.

I'm really looking forward for the rest of shaman cards. Hagatha the Witch shall rise again!

I don’t see this card anywhere, why you guys keep saying it’s insane ?
New Rogue Minion - Tak Nozwhisker

There is, however, a third direction:
3. It sees no play because it’s too slow
New Mage Spell - Conjurer's Calling
Definitely excited to mess around with this card! And since it's rare tier, it will be easy to access it too.
Exotic Mountseller
Possible beasts this will be able to summon are:
King Mukla
Ornery Tortoise
Blink Fox
[Hearthstone Card (Dusk Bat) Not Found]
Emperor Cobra
Ironfur Grizzly
Silverback Patriarch
Ironbeak Owl
Jungle Panther
Messenger Raven
Augmented Elekk
Nightmare Amalgam
Any other 3 cost beasts in Shadows.
