So mobalytics has finally gotten solid meta rankings for the call of the mountain meta.

What we are seeing is that bilgewater is pretty much dominating in all it's forms

With targon only being represented in B tier.

The reason for this is pretty straightforward

As I had mentioned before Targon champs aren't good.

They don't present win conditions.

In fact non champ plays like jamming a spectral matron at 8 onto the scourge and buffing your whole board is better then Sol

So is just buffing everything in your board, deck, and hand by 2

Or one sided board wipes

Or double vengence

etc. etc.

The other big issue is the 3 slot, bilge water has a 3/2 that summons a 2/1 on average

Targon has a 1/2 or 2/1 that doesn't do anything

In fact grabbing a 0 mana snake is often the right play and people don't do it

Anyway I digress what do you guys think of the meta

I believe most of you saw an increase in players Roping in your matches... So, I believe I found a bug.

Everyday, the very first time I use any Discover effect, the options simply... Don't show. Which causes roping because I can't do anything else before the Discover mechanic is accomplished, which causes a wasted turn.

It's important to note this also happens with Discover effects from Battlegrounds, like when you drop a golden minion in play.

Has anyone else seem this?

So I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this, but for about a week now my game has to update every time I start it. It's not a long update so it's really not that big of a deal, but it's long enough to be slightly annoying compared to the usual startup time, and I'm curious if it's just me or if this is also the case for other people.

So I had the opportunity to craft a lot of the core Targon invoke cards and figure out how the archetype is supposed to win, and the answer is easy.

cosmic inspiration buffs every one of your under-stated invoke creatures in deck and hand so they are grossly over-stated

You then get to absolutely crush the opponent

your 3/5 is a 5/7 your 1/2 is a 3/4 etc. etc.

If you are playing invoke allegience and you aren't playing inspiration you are basically just playing wrong unfortunately.

I just had a bomb dropped on me. There needs to be a way to read the celestial cards or they need to fucking show up in the list to see what the hell happened. I thought there was a deal 15 damage to all units spell about to go off. So I wasted two spells knocking off his spell shield and then used barrier on my buffed Garen. Then that shit went off and it only damaged my units. Is this really the spell? Because that is light years better than the Ruination feels super balanced. RNG wins ................... impressive this game killed the aspect that made it a fast paced strategy game and replaced it with luck draws.

I wonder if the content team would consider making the weekly tavern brawl a dedicated news article.

I know there is a link to the current brawl on the right, which shares it's posts with all previous times the brawl has been seen and the appearance dates of which are listed, and I like the efficiency of that - it's very clean.

But it doesn't feel like a shared experience that we get with a front page article on the subject where experiences/decks are shared etc.  They don't seem to garner much in the way of community feedback most weeks whereas a new article likely would.

I have only been playing for 3 weeks and dont have money to spend and dont have alot of cards.

Also I don't know the game like you guys do and don't have the time to sit around and learn all this stuff you guys know.

Expeditions are basically 85% new content, and the old shit gets beaten by the new.

Maybe if you are a high skilled player it's not true that all this new shit is broken and overpowered but for a casual like me it's really depressing to face 100% "new" decks every time you play because everyone realizes how good they are.

I have to wonder, why play bad invoke cards like priestess in a stun deck.

The concepts have very little to do with one another and only leads to free losses

Instead lets use those stuns for tempo and absolutely wreck with rally's and battering ram finisher

Has anyone noticed golden animations missing some of the layers in this last expansion?
I've noticed it more bluntly in Pen Flinger, Tour Guide and Teacher's Pet

So we see that the new ramp Trundle lists that were ever so popular at the release of the new set dropping down a tier in as little as one week.

This is pretty straight forward because playing a 3 mana 0/4 is bad

It's always been bad, and the expansion hasn't changed that.

We have lot's of challengers that can eat this for free with lulu support, or miss fortune

and even if you get your big ice quake off, that's still just a temporary setback to a lot of aggressive lists

So forget ramp let's just play on curve

With lots of healing and tricks

Until we hit 8 mana naturally and get to go off.

Do you think I should of went with a different champion than Zed? Is Fae guide too bad? Just looking for helpful criticism.

I was thinking Fae Guide + Ghost would be good for extra damage with the non elusives but maybe its too slow and I have hush to counter other elusives. 

Now I have to explain this, but it is something that seems like it can't just be a coincidence.

After opening my initial packs in Scholomance I had opened a bunch of golden rares (about 5 total). Now I never keep golden rares because I don't like to waste extra dust, however, with the no duplicate rule it makes it so a golden rare counts to the limit, meaning you won't be able to open normal copies until after you've collected all the rares in the set. This, I thought, would mean that there is very little chance of getting the non-golden rares from packs to be able to disenchant the golden ones.

However, today I opened my ranked rewards and for some reason I got all of the remaining non-golden rares from the Scholomance set (I had previously opened my last missing one a few days ago). Essentially, what I believe to be the case is that there is a seperate no-dupe counter for your non-golden cards that will go into effect once you've opened all rares of a set and will prioritize all cards that you don't own 2 non-golden copies of. I assume this also applies to commons and epics (and legendaries I guess).

Was this ever explicitly stated? Because regardless it's a very nice QoL feature for those who want to maximize dust and don't care about goldens.

Hello Guys !

After I've tried so much decks, combinations and cards, I just wanted to share the decks that I most enjoyed.

There should have been more decks that I brewed and tried but some got unsuccessful and others are just shared already by other forum users and played/crafted already by streamers. So I've brought these to your attention.

These are the ones that passed just my personal success tests around 10-20 games. Other decks that I brewed couldn't make their place here.

If you want some different approach from streamer decks or don't have the specific cards for them, you might want to check these out. I don't claim these decks are wonderful but I enjoyed enough so wanted to share them with you.

And If you like the deck, don't forget to check the deck's link because i have wrote some explanations to the guide section of them.

Some of them are not refined enough and needs some replacements probably. So if you have any advices, just suggest them here and we will make them better !

Keep your sanity and don't do it. Last season I got to Diamond 3 and it was a nightmare. Everyone used meta decks and never made a mistake which got frustrating and rather boring real fast. Before Diamond you could just mess around with any deck and progress. But in Diamond everyone is tryharding to get to Masters. And for what? Apparently master players say the majority of people who get to masters just kinda relax after getting there and start building random decks to mess around with since the grind is gone.

So I ask you all, what is the point? You can still have that same experience by just sticking around in the lower ranks and not having to deal with the mind numbing grind through Diamond. I can't speak much for Iron, bronze, and silver, since I wasn't there for too long; but the best ranks I find are in gold and plat. You can still mess around and try new decks and not get face stomped by meta deck after meta deck while doing it. The worst rank is definitely Diamond by far. No creativity, super sweaty players, and worst of all, BORING!

So the first champion I grabbed as a 3 of out of the new set is Lu Lu, and I instantly set out to put her in a strong list.

She's pretty good as long as you run her balls to the wall aggro, along with cheap challengers, lots of barriers and buffs.

There was a ton of hype around this little card around expansion launch and I haven't seen a single player experiment with it.

I think this a result of nerf mentality that Noxious allegiance lists got hit and it was just baby out with the bath water.

Well I'm here to tell you that Darius is good, and that there is a deck out there for this great card.

Today we are going to start the second season of the WCDC (weekly card design competition), and I wanted to share some of the lessons I learned about designing cards from the first season. Hopefully this list is useful to you, and I don't end up wasting my time writing this.

1. Keep it Simple, Stupid! K.I.S.S. or M.A.Y.A. (Most advanced, yet acceptable) are good acronyms to keep in mind when designing cards. You don't want your card to be super bland and boring, but if it is too different and unique then people won't be able to connect with it. You want your card to be as interesting and different as possible while still being within the realm of possibility. Don't try to think of something brand new, try to think of a new spin you can put on an existing thing.
2. Don't make too many cards. Sometimes people in the discussion thread create multiple cards and ask which one is best, and while this may seem like a good idea it usually isn't. All of your feedback will be split up and it will be hard to decide on which card is better. Just submit one card and if people don't like it then you whip out your second card. Don't bring out both cards at the same time and ask people to choose. 
3. Presentation matters. This is both concerning art, and the text on your card. Make sure the art fits Hearthstone's theme and flavor. I know finding art sucks, but it is worth the trouble. Also make sure you have proper punctuation, capitalization, and wording on your card. You could come up with the most creative and innovative card in the world, but if you don't present it in a proper way then it won't get very many stars.
4. The Customer is always right. If you want your card to do well, you should cater it to your audience. You may think your card is super cool and creative, but if nobody else agrees then your card will do poorly. You shouldn't make every change that people suggest, but you also shouldn't try too hard to defend your card when nobody agrees with you.
5. Check the submissions before submitting. I can recall a handful of times when multiple people made cards with the same art/ability/concept/or whatever, and they never did very well. Your idea has to be unique if you want people to vote high, so check to make sure nobody else has made the same card as you before you submit.
6. PUT YOUR CARD IN THE DISCUSSION THREAD BEFORE SUBMITTING! This is the most important thing you could do. Other people are smarter than you and might catch mistakes in your card that you didn't notice. I don't think a card submitted within the first 24 hours has ever made it to the finalists, let alone won. You have roughly 4 days to get feedback and make adjustments, use that time well. You don't get anything for being the first person to submit your card.

That is my list of lessons I learned from season 1, hopefully this stuff wasn't too obvious. If you have any advice you would like to share I would love to hear it. One thing in particular that I am interested in knowing is your opinion on the description box, and what kind of thing you write in it. Sometimes I would write about the practical uses of my card and how it might be played. Other times I would talk about the design process of my card and how it got to where it is. And sometimes I would just write flavor text. What do you think the best thing to put in the description box is? And does it even matter, or am I over-thinking it?

With season 2 of the weekly card design competitions right around the corner, I'm bound to search the hell out of the card database again. Comparing costs, stats, effects and so on often requires to use several filters. I really appreciate all the work you've put in there, cleaning up the menu and staying up to date with all the weird new stuff (new class, dual class cards, new keywords, ...). 

One thing I've been missing on several occasions is a button that deletes all applied filters. It's an easy workaround to reload the collectible cards page from the menu, but such a button would be a nice quality of life feature neverthless. It could also be applied to other sites that use filters, like Decks.
