Is again yet another overpowered thing in this game... 20 health on Nexus isn't enough to stop an onslaught despite good spell-play where your spells cost 3 or more and they get constant units battering you. When they change their hand into decimate cards you could lose just by decimate ALONE but with overpower you're not walking the tight-rope you're literally already falling & gasping with the most forceful of lung inhalations to suck the rasor-thin wire back into your mouth before you either impact the ground at full speed or barely get hold of the wire before it rips you a new one!
3 days of relatively good games then 2 or 3 days of constant overpowered garbage that apparently has been around 3 months or more.
I can't believe it needs to be reiterated, but if you need to win early to WIN. Then it's not a balanced game.

Playing against Swain who just upgraded and stunned my max unit. I still have 4 other units, one of which got stunned with the 1-cost spell. then none of my other three heroes was allowed to block the swain plus ferocious enemy (I had a 5-5 Tough Demacian Cavalry for ferocious) and then had small 2-2 & 2-3 units to block. This is like the 4th time this has happened - this one & another were expedition games too!

Is it normal to scream so loud and jump around when you first hit legend? I hope it does.
Just want to say thank you and share my happiness in my beloved tavern (here). I finally reach Legend with Eggro Warrior by the genius NoHandsGamer (check him out guys). Man my head hurts every couple of games piloting this deck, with multiple considerations and decision making on every turn. But i wouldn't have it any other way.
The list is already posted here on the latest weekly Standard Meta Report #31 (delicious food for thought, thx sir targus).
So thank you my fellow OoC-ians (i don't know what we are called, lol) for encouraging me to take the grind this month. I'll be sure to enjoying my new Archmage Antonidas in the future. Thanks for reading and good luck out there!

I think 'Nexus-Strike' needs to be Sejuani's Frost because the control on auto--freeze every game mainly when she is with a Teemo which can seemingly be played 3 times in a row in decks of cards 40 & above. Especially after having to focus on him as an elusive is quite ridiculous, alongside the fact that you get a million free popper-puffs so most every card is getting 1 puff on it. As you go through cards the probability increases drastically that you're going to get boned out of the game and simply become infinitely controlled as even with only drawing a single card you're about to get frostbitten to 0 damage...
- Draw a card, get frozen, play one hero or supporting unit, kill it or use a spell to draw a card, then maybe play one final unit - that's the only unit you get to attack with.
- It's obviously worse when you're defending because you basically can't or you just take full damage and all of their heroes & units are still alive at the end of combat.
- Hero combinations such as Yasuo can barely do anything already against these guys... but I'd need to be Demacia or something with him just to buff him 3 or 4 times after he became frost-bitten just to then scrape by mana to get a stun out. But by that point you've used all of your '1-Mana Cost Stuns'. You're left with Arachnoid from Demacia which is a 3-Mana summon instead of spell even though the 1-Mana spell is a Slow one. Or even worse you're forced to use a '4-Mana Recall' just to remove a single threat.

I kind of thought this was going to be resolved with their first major release, but as far as I can tell, the only way to see what daily quests you have is to click into the quests. I know it's pretty minor, but it seems like a simple quality-of-life add. I often forget before my first match or two to look at it, and end up wasting time not making progress against it.

Sorry for the brag-thread. But i'm quite happy now.
Made it to legend the first time in all this year (most probably due to the smaller grind, thanks to the new system) with zoolock.
Here's the list. Faced mostly demon hunters and rogues, where the deck does well. Got a overall winrate of 64% from diamont five to legend. Took me only 56 games (lol!) and now i'm sitting quite comoftable at legend rank 45788 (lol again :D).

The thing is, units created from spells are an exception to this rule and I wonder why? I just lost a game because I didn't know about this, I was about to replace a unit for lethal and my unit got oblitareted. Not sure if this is intended.

Last night, my thinking was that I would play around using my pre-expansion decks just to put in some XP into my new region rewards, waiting until after I get some freebees and some inspiration before crafting anything new. I quickly made the following observations:
- EVERYONE was playing decks built around expansion champions, implying they heavily crafted immediately
- All my pre-expansion decks are very weak against these new decks:
- My P&Z/Noxus aggro deck and SI/Frejlord control deck were both winless for the night.
- I finally had some mild success with Vlad + Braum of all things--still less than 50%, but at least I could grind out my bonus XP
Did anyone else have comparable experiences?
Assuming these are representative, I have mixed feeling. On the one hand, it's probably good that the expansion cards are all powerful--I started playing M:tG right before Fallen Empire, probably the weakest expansion in their history, and it was overwhelmingly disappointing to be encouraged to buy all those shiny new packs just to find them easily beaten out by older cards and established decks. And it is fair to draw comparisons to trying to use an "evergreen" deck in either Hearthstone or M:tG and being dominated by those using the full library. On the other: I am very surprised that these cards were THAT much more powerful than the core set (assuming it's not just lack of ability on my end), especially considering this is the very first introduction of new cards. It's a significant power spike overnight. And I feel extremely sorry for any new players just getting started, trying to complete quests using starter decks.

The addition of Toss and Deep make a lot of sea monster decks feel unusually powerful thanks to the lower deck sizes in Expeditions, and the addition of "draw from your opponent's deck" cards can hit you twice, first by stealing your resources, then by decking you (again because the deck sizes are smaller in Expeditions).
In MTG, it's very rare to see any kind of mill type strategies be powerful in limited because they typically only work with a large combination of mill effects. Many of the Runeterra self-mill and enemy-mill cards are fairly efficient on their own, leading to what I think is a worse drafting experience.
It's obviously too early to call for a nerf to any cards (especially because I actually think a lot of these cards/interactions are fun in normal play), but I wouldn't be shocked if rebalancing the draft pool was one of the first things to come out of Bilgewater.

Hello, everybody! I know I'm a lot late of doing this - this comp was back in February! But it hit me on the head a few days ago. No one else is doing this, so I decided to start it off! There is a rule I have in place - I will pick from strictly non-finalists. I just want to highlight good cards that people either voted low on or and give them credit for it. Sorry if I don't included your card. I just chose one that are interesting and/or neat.
By the off chance you want to look at some cards I didn't show here, here is the link.
THE RESTRICTIONS:
Show Spoiler
This week was to make a card that used a mechanic (or two) from the Year of the Dragon. Simple for the first comp.
Number 1: One Man's Trash... by sinti
Sinti made this great sidequest that settled at a score of 2.96. I don't really don't know why was not higher. Fit some
Big Ol' Whelps or a
Faerie Dragon or two and BOOM. A free weapon. As for the weapon selection, it is great during AoO era (Demon Hunter improved that by a lot).
Arcanite Reaper,
Assassin's Blade, and the
Wrenchcalibur would be good equips for this. Any DH weapon as well, they are pretty good. Even if you get a 1-attack, it gets buffed anyway.
An improved
EVIL Conscripter? This can add up to
4 LACKEYS to your hand. Fantastic in Rez Priest (which I hate with a burning passion) as a legitimate target for a
Psychopomp. That means lots of Lackeys. Just what Priest needs.
After being utter trash in KotFT,
Moorabi walked home, dusted off a old notebook and opened it up. This is the result of that thinking. "If I freeze everyone and make sculptures of them, they will learn to respect me!" Powerful and just good in general, I might as well. An advantage this card has over Moorabi is that
IT IS ACTUALLY GOOD. You don't have to waste a freeze, this card does it for you. Plus, you get lots of value at a later turn when all the big minions are played. A fantastic card in my opinion.
Number 4: Unshakeable Roots by Phoenix Ahh, Druid. How I hate all of your stupid trees and lightning bugs. And to think, I used to be one of you. Anyway, this is good. A little more expensive
Treenforcements, but can be cast twice. Reborn acts kind of
Soul of the Forest with a cheaper cost. Solid card to support Token Druid.
Number 5: Obsidian Explorer by Horus
An explorer for a class without any. Huh, seems kinda of good. Priest currently has 5 class Dragons to play with. A great nab would be
Skeletal Dragon, which can generate some more. They recently got a Dragon support card in AoO and this will fit quite nicely with it.
Overall:
And... done. I really hope you enjoyed looking these. Just wanted to share some lesser-seen cards that are good to the Fan Creation Community. If you guys really like this, I might do one for 1.02 at a later date. Treasure! And yes, I purposely picked a card that showcased each mechanic except Plagues and Invoke. Graggle was too OP for my tastes (sorry thepowrofcheese). Paalam at magkaroon ng isang kamangha-manghang araw!

In short, my region has been set to Europe for the entire time of beta. I'm not a European player though, (US East-American). I thought the region was incorrect due to beta, but now that the game has gone live, I'm not so sure. I did some searching and apparently a few years back Riot combind all regions? But I'm concerned that for LoR I'm somehow incorrect set. I never had a chance to tell it otherwise...

It's a weird meta right now. So many decks with mulligan specific win scenarios. It is almost pointless taking part. There should be a button where the people with those decks can just have imaginary opponents. Especially murlocs and treants - they empty their hands by turn 3 having successfully randomly drawn their combo, and then draw into the next. My side of the board is pointless/meaningless.

Hello everyone,
Since the latest patch I can't play Hearthstone caused by Playful Sprites. I did all the tips Blizzard posted on their forum, but after a long search I found out that there is a certificateproblem with my Samsung A70( other users have it as well). Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
I am not a developer but this issue takes more than a month, is this common with certificate problems?

As we all know, Shaman is not in a strong spot right now. Thrall simply can't keep up with Illidan's early-game tempo, or Valeera's value. However, I feel like Shaman has the tools to fight for a spot in the meta anyway. Besides Totem Shaman and Evolve Shaman, which already have a small (but unimpressive) role in the meta, I feel like there is room for a third Shaman deck, based around two few specific, very powerful cards: Squallhunter and Serpentshrine Portal. These cards give you so much extra burst to finish out games when combined with each other or with cards like Lightning Bolt and Lava Burst, which your opponents won't see coming.
Spearheaded by a friend of mine, he made this spell-damage focused deck:
Inspired by that, I took out a lot of the spell damage cards and made it more Dragon focused:
So, which of these decks do you like more? Do you have another idea to build a tempo shaman build? Or do you think this idea is doomed from the start?

So, I played against a rogue, who had a 3mana minion and a secret up- either Bamboozle or Ambush- so I played Siamat with Rush and Divine Shield. Would take care of it either way, while clearing the small minion. So Siamat attacked the small minion, and it bamboozled into [Hearthstone Card (Imprisoned Antaen) Not Found]. Siamat should have had enough attack to take him out, but instead Siamat only lost his divine shield, while not actually damaging the Antaen - which makes Imprisoned minions immune to damage, but able to defend themselves.
Just a questionable interaction that I wanted you to tell about.

So with the first month of the ranked update coming to a close I've been wondering about the following.
I haven't played much Hearthstone this month, partially due to the Demon Hunter terror and partially because of the amount of (updates for other) games being released. First world problems, I know.
I only yesterday got to diamond in standard, and likely won't even get that far in wild this month.
What I'm wondering is if the star multipliers are based on the rank that you achieved the previous month or your hidden MMR? The Hearthstone article indicates the former. In which case, if I don't play for a full month, does that mean I won't have any star multipliers to go with (other than the win streak ones), all the while facing diamond-tier players?
Because that climb seems way tougher than what we previously had and kind of forces you to get a decent rank every month, if that is your monthly goal.
From what I gathered from the Hearthstone ranked article this does seem to be the case, but some additional insight would be much appreciated.
