• Improved page titles in several places on the site to better indicate what type of content is on the page ("Deck Name - Hearthstone Decks")
• Removed the January-only premium package from the site. This should have been gone on February 1. Cool.

Tips:

1: Look at the enemy faction and decide what type of deck they will be playing.

2: Pull up a spreadsheet showing all spells of every faction

3: Decide if you will be playing aggressively or defensively this match

4: When do you plan to end the match? Early? Mid-game? Late game?

5: Learn from every single mistake. Do not get angry just LEARN!

6: BOARD CONTROL!! Learn when to trade and when to attack the enemy directly. Board control is very important.

7:Play a lot and understand you're playstyle and the enemies.

maybe a little rant here but seriously why are there so many thigns i simply cant react even with a deny in hand.

I know that every Burst Spell is not reactable but why is it every buff AND (so many) frostbite spells

Should that be a thing?

my rant is allready over again tbh (thank god it takes me usually 10-15 sec) but i still think there are a good amount of spells that shouldnt be burst

is there anything riot said they would at least keep an eye on?

And what are your thoughts?

Hello, I am currently trying to get to masters. I am currently playing this deck: CEAQ2AIFAEHBAFAWEIRSOKBKGE2TQAABAEAQKII

The main goal of this deck is to maintain board control. Look at your opponents' champions figure out what type of deck they will use and then decide if you will finish the match quickly or late-term. 

This deck is midterm in my opinion. Counters make types of meta decks while also being a meta deck.

Dev Blog: Midseason Balance

The midseason balance patch will be delayed to early/mid-March. This is due to how much the purple balance patch affected the state of the game. Overall we are happy with how the purple patch impacted the meta and has balanced purple's win and play rates with the other factions.

That being said, there are still a few areas in Mythgard that we are planning to change to balance the power levels of the factions further. In the midseason patch, we will be aiming to make a smaller number of impactful changes to create better color parity while retaining each faction's unique playstyle and flavor.

Hey, folks! I'm going to use this thread to show my progress, mainly whenever I hit 100% on a given rarity. This should be a good indicator of how F2P friendly the game is. Here's my investment in the game at the time of writing:

• Almost 110 hours of playtime.
• 20 packs bought with the 10$ starter bundle.
• 13 packs bought with money (it would be 16 without the gems I spent on the ice board :P).
• ~ 15-20 packs from giveaway.
• ~ 10-15 chests averaging 2 packs each (stats pulled out of my butt).
• 11 achievements earned, level 17, MAAT 10.
• Completed faction missions.
• Started playing around 5 months ago

I don't what is going on recently, but the past idk two weeks I have had SO MUCH BM it's getting ridiculous. I get that Blizz doesn't want a "reporting" system because salty trolls will just abuse it to spam reports on people that beat them, so in lieu of that I was think why not institute an Endorsement system like Overwatch has to encourage good sportsmanship? Blizzard's own data suggests it works very well (https://www.pcgamesn.com/overwatch/endorsement-system-success) so why not roll it out here.

It could function the exact same way: offer people the chance to endorse their opponent post-game on a few key areas - just off the top of my head maybe "Sportsmanship" i.e. no BMing, "Great Deck" i.e. encourages people to try and come up with fun/interesting decks, and "Strategist" i.e. just straight playing very well. Then like Overwatch your Endorsement level could get you gold/dust/packs on some regular interval. I really think this would cut down on a lot of the nonsense with positive reinforcement of good behaviors and generally make HS a more pleasant place to play. Since they said earlier this week they're looking at things to keep HS strong for "the next decade", handling the toxic elements of your playerbase had to be a key part of that or veteran players will get tired of it and it will be off-putting to new players alike.

In case you missed it yesterday, they had some gameplay of the upcoming Baldur's Gate 3 and it looks awesome! Below are the official trailer and gameplay from PAX. I don't know about you, but I'm really looking forward to this!

For context, I usually play for 1-2 hours ranked (hovering at gold 3-4 ATM) every night.  Lately, it seems like I've been getting wildly different results every night.  Like yesterday: I had a quest to frost bite so I was playing my Frejlord/Noxus battle scar deck but I could get a win to save my life.  Then I switched over to my SI/Noxus spider deck and went something like 4-2.  Tonight, it's been the exact opposite: I had a fearsome quest, spiders couldn't get a win, but battle scars were on fire.  

I just found it amusing that I'm getting practically polar opposite results over such a short time period.   Anyone else experiencing anything like that?

If your collection is starting to look nice and solid, maybe you are starting to think about what resources you'll need when the first expansion drops. Even if you're not there yet, you will be eventually, right? Just keep opening those Vaults and leveling those regions!

So I thought it might be helpful to tally up the cost of a full set per region. After all, it's looking like that's how expansions are going to be released: as a couple of new regions, plus maybe some new Champions for existing regions. We can't be sure how many new regions to expect per expansion. I would say probably two, but it could be three or even just one.

In any case, here's what that will cost:

At present each region contains 4 Champions, 6 epics, 18 rares, and 25 commons. Times three for a full set, that's 12 Champion, 18 epic, 54 rare, and 75 common wildcards you will need.

If you're buying wildcards with coins, it takes only four weeks to acquire a region's worth of Champions, but six weeks for epics, nine weeks for rares, and 12.5 weeks for commons! Obviously, no one would ever need or want to acquire a whole set with coins, though. It's just interesting to me how long it would take.

The shard prices are 3000, 1200, 300, and 100 respectively, which means a total shard cost of 36000 + 21600 + 16200 + 7500 = 81300 shards per complete region. (Please correct my arithmetic if you spot an error!) Coin prices are equal to 1/10 of shard prices, so that's 8130 if you're going the wildcard route. (You can get 5350 coins for $50 U.S. or 11000 for $100.)

If they release two regions, that's 162600 shards, and for three it jumps to 243900. For each additional hero they add to old regions, tack on another 9000 shards.

Certain strategies, like saving up Expedition tokens, can help offset some of this, and don't forget there will be region rewards for the new regions. I thought about calculating the shard value of that, but the stupid random upgrade system makes that weird. I could take the average case, but frankly I don't feel like it. My gut tells me if you reach max level, it could reduce the overall shard cost by about a quarter to a third, depending on your luck. If someone wants to do the actual math, I'll be happy to update this post.

Anyway, now you know the ballpark amounts you'll be facing as you save up, so you can set goals for shard saving or anticipate how much cash you'll want to spend.

Hello, i'd like to know if there is a way to make deck private. I want to save my expedition decks and  i don't want them to be in general decks pool of your site for a few reasons. Thanks.

A new Sealed League begins on March 1st, 2020 for Chapter 40: Aftershock

Everyone who participates in the Sealed League will unlock the new premium Aftershock card back!

Sealed League

When you join the Sealed League, you’ll get eight packs to build your starting deck:

• 8x Echoes of Eternity

Each week of the Sealed League, you’ll get new packs to add to your pool, for a total of 14 packs to play with!

• Week 2: 2x The Flame of Xulta
• Week 3: 1x The Empty Throne, 1x Echoes of Eternity
• Week 4: 1x Omens of the Past, 1x Echoes of Eternity

Minimum rewards for playing include:

• 4 x Echoes of Eternity
• 1 x premium Uncommon card
• 1 x new premium card back upon entering the League

All packs awarded from the Sealed League will be packs of Echoes of Eternity. The cost to participate in Sealed League is 12,500 Gold or 1,100 Gems.

So all players who enter will end up with at least 18 packs from the League (14 from play, and 4 from rewards).

The League for Chapter 40: Aftershock begins on March 1, 2020 and will run through March 31.

Don't you guys think the card is a bit overtuned?

How would you nerf him? or maybe nerf the rekindlererBADCARDNAME probably The Harrowing as well.

I mean dealing with a Hecarim is hard but manageable the problem is the next 2 Hecarims that come Back to Back turn after turn..

For me.. I had 2 copies and crafted the third one today.. it feels so unfair to play the card or against it.

How would you nerf him? 7 mana? remove overwhelm(only shadow isles with this keyword IIRC)? nerf riders?

Maybe you think he doesn't deserve nerfing and it's ok every second deck is shadow isles.

So, thoughts on the new Battlegrounds additions?

So far, for me:

- Games are a lot faster now, because there's a lot more 4- and 5-cost minions that exist to be fat bodies rather than amplifiers. Smacking someone for 20 damage meant you utterly stomped them, previously, while now it just means Razorgore and a couple of other fat dragons stuck around

- Deathwing is being oddly underrated given he can go from early to late game with two Rat Packs on his board and nothing else :P

- Ysera is late-game-oriented but feels disgustingly strong due to her reliability with a Dragon comp

- Dragons in general are being overplayed, along with Beasts, meaning you can pick up high placements by running Demons and Murlocs simply because people won't go for them unless they got stuck with a railroaded hero - this is pretty much just because they're new, so take advantage of it in the short term

- Mechs feel really weak right now, probably because both Dragons and Murlocs can pull their Divine Shield signature (and do it with minions that don't fold the second a light breeze hits them without their shield up)

- Speaking of Divine Shield, George is MUCH more powerful now. Not only did his hero power get buffed, but adding DS synergies into the game gave him a huge amount of relevance

I could go on, but most of you probably stopped reading already. Your experiences?

I've seen people say she is a weak champ but at least from my experience she's the most annoying thing ever. 3 health means very few spells can kill her, unless you're P&Z or Shadow Isles you're fucked basically. The quick attack means she survives every time she strikes after she upgrades. Not joking, and i find this stupid. Even if my blocker would normally kill her, she just returns to hand all fine and dandy. And the fact she Rallies every time you play her is very difficult to deal with, not a lot of ways to win the board early in this game without minion combat and that is exactly what she beats me on i feel. 

So what do i do? I suppose i can freeze but that's just temporary and i use mana on a delay effect while the enemy builds the board. with cheap creatures that keep dealing chip damage on me.

I've been on both the giving and receiving end of this. If you discover Dark Pharaoh Tekahn from Dragon's Hoard and you're playing Galakrond (what Rogue isn't right now?), you have access to unlimited 1-mana 4/4s. This makes you like a heroic adventure boss. I completely thrashed my opponent when I got this combo, and got completely thrashed when an opponent did. They just made it so Dragonqueen Alexstrasza cannot create herself. This seems like a fair change too. Both situations are going to happen very rarely anyway, but when they do, it just ain't fair.

According to Therewolf, Product Manager, Live Operations, we should be getting LoR patches every two weeks on Tuesdays at 10am PT, alternating between large and small ones. We'll get the patch notes the day before, on Mondays at 10am PT.

I have at least 45 screenshots over the last week of it drawing 3 copies of the same card multiple times rather than drawing a spaced out amount of cards that I have 3 copies of all of, it ALWAYS draws 3 copies of a specific card within the first 5 rounds without fail (majority of the time the cards are right next to eachother showing I drew them back to back).  If that card is sub-par in the matchup im in, gg cause I have 3 of them to work with automatically.  Also how is it decks with 3 champions and 37 spells can on curve draw their heimer for turn 5 but with 6 champions + 3x entreat I cant have a champion on curve at least 75% of the time???!?!?!?!?!?  20$ says if you make this into an actual table top card game people will start to realize that you have greatly altered the shufflers algorithm and need to cut the crap.  If you want to build good players riot, dont give handicaps/cheats for a game that should require brain usage and not "Whoever put money into the game and gets lucky".  With Ritos logic, everyone would be rank 1 at Poker, drawing 4 of a kind every single hand.

Grand Melee: February 28 – March 2

There are no special deckbuilding rules for the Grand Melee. Players battle with their strongest constructed decks available until they achieve either nine wins or three losses. Entry into the Grand Melee costs six (6) Event Tickets or 1,000 Gold, up to three maximum runs allowed.

For every entrant in the Grand Melee, we're giving away the Cadwell card back. This reward will be given to all participants, regardless of win count!

For the top 1,000 players during this Grand Melee, we'll also be giving out a premium Mages Guild card back!

The Grand Melee begins Friday, February 28 at 12pm ET and closes at 12pm ET on Monday, March 2. Events in The Elder Scrolls: Legends change regularly, so check in often to see what new challenges await!

From a blog post today, the folks at Mythgard are teasing their first upcoming expansion for the game. The don't give any details but only provide artwork from illustrators. I'm not sure if any of these pieces will be included in the set, but they look pretty cool!
