Seems like potential for the cancellation of the Hearthstone stream. Don't get me wrong, precautions for the virus are completely justified. But it would be quite disappointing even so, especially after the constant 'announcements of announcements' and lack of actual information given out up until this point.

Has anyone tried making a deck with Questing Explorer, Licensed Adventurer and Sky Gen'ral Kragg and activating those cards via sidequests instead of main quests?

For Druid, the main quest more or less builds the deck for you, so I thought that would be an interesting class to try this on. This was the result: (click it for the guide with more details)

Hey, folks! In this thread, I want to present the idea for a new keyword:

Basically, it's the exact opposite of Taunt. If your opponent has a minion with cower, and another without, you MUST attack the one without first. And before anyone asks:

• If you have a minion with both Taunt and Cower, they cancel each other out, so it's like not having either. 
• Yes, this was inspired by Mythgard's Lurker.

The best kind of cards you want with this keyword are those with triggered or end/start of turn effects. Here's a few cards I made:

Poor Wilfred. Ever since he accidentally summoned an EREDAR LORD OF THE BURNING LEGION and barely surviving with his life, he's never been the same. Sure's he's still summoning Demons, but he's limiting himself so small, easy to control ones.

I wanted to create a hero with the keyword, but the effect itself isn't worth much IMHO, but a cheap hero like that would pretty much kill Aggro, and I don't want that. So I gave him the board swarm in the battlecry.

Best part? He actually has crazy synergy with [Hearthstone Card (Lord Jarraxus) Not Found]. Yeah, remember him? Probably not, since Bloodreaver Gul'dan replaced him entirely, and when him rotated, Zephrys the Great came along. Granted, Fizzleband doesn't solve the latter problem, but if you play Lord J after him, your Hero Power (yes, I know I forgot to write it on mine) basically creates a 6/6 pseudo-Taunt.

What do you all think Riot will do to her in the next patch, since they mentioned her by name?

Right now her problems are: She's too reliant upon her bonded, she's a fearsome 3 drop when other 3 power cards are coming out, she can't be played alone (wants a bonded unit), her bonded can be recalled thereby making her the only champion that can be 'purified' denying her her full abilities alongside being very frail.

By most games I have used her in, almost never use her turn 3 unless there's a really good unit to play her on making her actually be a turn 4-5 unit.

The bonded issue could be solved by her wording changed to "I bond with the strongest unit. Bonded is granted +2/+0". Or making it so the bond persists even if the unit is recalled (pulling it from your hand in case of the level up).

As for the rest maybe a rule change on fearsome?

Fearsome could be changed from "Can't be blocked by a unit 2 power or less" to "Can't be blocked by a unit less than or equal to it's power."

Gives them a new thing to play around with and makes cards like Tryndamere, Legion General, Cithria the Bold, and Trifarion Shieldbreaker more interesting to play as well.

What do you all think? I enjoy reading these forums and they have been helping my own gameplay.

As you know they released the teaser image and in it, we see Medivh, Lunara, and Morgl turned into stone, but there's someone behind Morgl's hand. I would assume Tyrande or Maiev since they're both the only free heroes not there. But unfortunately, this is ruled out when we see the figure doesn't appear to have elven ears. They are wearing a robe though and they're tall so that once again narrows down our suspects. And so finally our suspect list comes to ... Khadgar!

No elf ears rules out Tyrande, Maiev, Elise, Liandrian, Sylvanas, and Aleria. Tall human shape rules out Sir annoy-o, Nemsy, and Magni plus Morgl is already stone in the front. Robe rules out Arthas, Mecha J, Rastakhan, Lei Shen, and maybe Lazul, but she is covered in the normal ear category.

So finally by my hypothesis, Khadgar is also there just behind Morgl's hand unless I'm wrong in which case OH WELL! If I missed anything let me know

i just had a situation where smart ordering of spells would have granted me lethal with Lux' Final Sparks, but the expected behaviour did not occur, leaving me quite frustrated, since i cannot rely on simple logic to solve complex game states in order to win games.

This was the scenario:

Opponent: attacks with 4 (barriered) units and plays judgement against my blockers. He is at 4 health and 0 mana. After blocking, i would survive his attack. 2 of his barriered units had 2 health (so 2 sparks could kill his Nexus if done correctly).

Me: Lux on board, at 4/6. Spells in hand: Single Combat (2), Deny (4) and Twin Disc (3). I have enough mana to play them all.

So my idea for lethal was the following:

- one of his barriered 2-health units is blocked and will survive the attack

- the other barriered 2-health unit is unblocked and will survive the attack as well

- cast Single Combat on one of his barriered units, this will make my Lux progress go to 6/6, giving me the first Final Spark

- cast Deny against his Judgement, this will then bring my Lux progress from 0/6 to 4/6

- cast Twin Disc on some shit to make my Lux progress go to 6/6 again, giving me the second Final Spark

- after the attack, cast both Final Sparks in his 2-health units for lethal (4 health Nexus)

The Spell Stack (from left to right) looked the following:

1. my Single Combat (played AFTER Deny)

2. my Deny against Judgement (played BEFORE Single Combat)

3. his Judgement, being denied

So in theory, the order of spell execution should be correct, right?

- Single Combat is executed first, updating my Lux's progress to 6/6 and giving me a Final Spark.

- Then Deny is executed, updating the progress from 0/6 to 4/6

But what actually happened was that my Lux's progress somehow was at 0/6 after both spells were executed, not at 4/6 as expected.

Is this a bug? Or is there some behaviour that i missed or dont know?

I'm new to LoR, but I found it really confusing for the interaction of skills and fast spells. I think, intuitively, if the fast spell kills the unit with the skill, the skill shouldn't trigger. Obviously that's not true in LoR. Once in Expedition game 7, I held on to a Vengeance hoping to surprise kill opponent's Vladimir when he attacks with his Crimson crew. However, even though he was killed that way, his skill still triggered which killed me exactly to 0 health. This interaction makes skill simply a fast spell attached to a unit but somehow can still trigger after the unit is dead.

Anyone else wish they can change the interaction to be: "skills won't trigger if the unit is dead before the skill is cast" ?

I'm playing the same frostbite decks 80% of the time and its not fun without having any variety of what i'm playing against.

Katarina is one of my favorite champions and I have been experimenting with her, even in most ridiculous situations (Teemo/Katarina :D)

Some of you guys might not know the Ephemeral interaction of Katarina so I wanted to share it here.

When you give Katarina, Mark of the Isles she won't die after she attacks and levels-up and comes back to your hand. Same with Oblivious Islander and Stirred Spirits.




So;
- You can use Oblivious Islander to reduce her cost to (2) for early upgrade posibility.
- You can use Stirred Spirits to make her more threatining with +2 Attack.
- You can use Mark of the Isles against frostbites or Removals (not against Vengeance) to save Katarina on your attack turn so she will be leveled-up. Works on your defend phase as well if she wouldn't die with the damage.
- One of the best is; You can use Shark Chariot with ephemeral Katarina to spawn Shark Chariots whenever you Rally !

I don't think you still don't know about Whirling Death/Single Combat - Katarina interactions but for new players and players who doesn't know these interactions yet, you can level-up Katarina with those combat tricks as well.

I have completed all of the region rewards today.



After I have completed regions, I wanted to try if it give me any additional reward and joined a game and instantly surrendered and saw this screen.



What I saw is "The Season Road Level" but it seems it isn't active right now unfortunately because the experience point from the game didn't fill the bar but it continues to fill the bar of your weekly vault.

Well, I completed the whole set but I've thought that i could save some resources for future after i completed regional rewards and i did learnt earlier that there is the "Season Road Level" mistakenly by forgetting to change one of my completed regions. It had didn't fill the bar that time aswell but i guessed that it was just because i didn't complete other regions. Now I'm sure of that it won't fill season road level anymore.

This might be a hint for official release btw. There will probably be Season Road Level that doesn't seem active right now. It might be either like a "Battle Pass" system for any other game around, paid level system; or might be a free-to-play friendly system that will continue to reward players who completes regional rewards. I really don't know if anyone around web knows something about this content.

Do you think that this should be corrected for open beta?

I personally think that it shouldn't be because of solved meta at first day of the next expansion but well, I will continue to open my weekly vaults until next expansion comes and i will be saving so much Expedition Tokens + Shards because I won't play expeditions anymore just because I have completed the set so correcting this might not help for solved meta situations. I will probably have enough resource to craft some useful stuff at first day without this "Season Road Level" thing with all of those free Expedition Tokens and Shards because all of cards that I will get from Weekly Vaults turns into shards right now and it will be huge amount of Expedition Tokens from Weekly Vaults. If we calculate superficially and guess like the game will be released on June at best; it will be like;
1x Expedition Token per week => 17 Expedition Tokens that will give me 17 Champions at June.

Also I will be able to purchase Wildcards per week so it means that 3x per week => 39 Champion Wildcards until June. Right now we have 72 Champions. That means a paid player will be able to save 56 Champion wildcards right now if he/she completed the whole set. Riot said that they will bring one region on next expansion and that expansion also will bring 2x different champions to existing regions. That means new region will come with 6 champions. So math says;

6x3 = 18 new region champion cards + 2x6x3 = 36 existing region champion cards = 54 new champion cards. So if i will purchase all of the wildcards, I will be able to complete whole champions at first day of the Expansion if it hits on June.

If it will be how Riot says, People will save 16 Expedition Tokens which means 16 champions per 4 months.

I don't think that Riot will release a new expansion before the game officially released and they said that they will try to release the game before first half of the year so I'm assuming that my calculations are accurate enough according to what Riot said at open beta release video.

I really wonder what do you think about these situations. A healthy discussion might help both community and developers if they are following here. :)

Note: Btw, I have played free-to-play completely, didn't buy any wildcards. Sitting on 5k Shards but no Wildcards. I have spent all of my Wildcards to complete to set so It took 2 months and 2 weeks to complete to set with playing f2p completely.

Edit2: Well, I really don't know why I've skipped this but I will be able to use those Expedition tokens 3x per week, so that means I will only guarantee my Expedition runs will be free with saving them but I really think that I can craft most of the champions with my saved shards. So the best way of saving should be x9 tokens i guess. I will play x3 per week and get 1x per week. With saving x9 tokens, I will guarantee my Expeditions will be free whole time I guess;

Have 9x - Spent 3x + get 1x = 7x
Have 7x - Spent 3x + get 1x = 5x
Have 5x - Spent 3x + get 1x = 3x
Have 3x - Spent 3x + get 1x = 1x
12 Total Champions from Expeditions in a month, I'm assuming I will get some champion cards from Weekly Vault + Regional Rewards (I'm also assuming that new regions will come with their own regional reward tree and Existing ones will expand or reset at some point with newer cards.) .
So it will take 1,5 - 2 months to complete sets again and start to save for next expansion in my opinion if anything about economy system won't change.

Dreamed of making this thread, but after 4 years of playing didn't think it would ever happen.  It's a bit self congratulatory but I hope this one time that's ok.

Was rank 13 wild starting last season and managed to get to Rank 1 for the first time ever.

This month I decided it was time to properly try - I'd just play up to 10 games each night until the season was over or I hit legend for the first time, and earn that card back (which I won't use because I don't actually like it lol).

I used my version of Dragon Jade Druid which I really like.  My 4 year old Druid isn't even level 60 so it's fair to say I'm not an expert Druid player:)

Had 82% winrate - 27-6

Even better Rank 1 final boss emoted Well Played so I added him (I give kudos to anyone who emotes WP on a loss) and we had a great chat after.  Explained first time legend situation and he was really kind and we kinda of shared it together :P  Props to him.

Anyway, rambled enough so just to say if you are trying to do the same, there's lots of advice out there.  But you can do it if you play, practice and a bit of good RNG helps too :)

Hello, I recently got Masters and wanted to try to get it again on my new account. I've noticed many mistakes on newer players in many cases where I would have lost. This game is mainly on putting many hours into it. Understanding every card/deck combinations. I somewhat know what my enemy will play before he even plays it.

I'm sure I'm not the only person this happens to, but I could find a thread so. . .

Whenever I post a comment or up/downvote something else, a new window opens up in my browser with a bunch of code gobbledygook. When I close it out, the vote/comment is successful, so it's not a huge deal, but I was wondering is there's something I can do to get rid of that.

Hecarim must be the must valuable card in the entire game atm. You can splash anything with SI just to slip him under de sleeve. It's time to let him go and try new stuff.

It was discussed previously, but we need to adress how strong the card is ON TOP of how strong the fation operates with him. 

I will talk ONLY about Hecarim and not mention the other cards that should be watched like The Rekindler couse I will miss the point.

Hecarim must to be way expensive but Im not sure if that will solve the other issues. Overwhelm is unnecesary in his stage 1, it just adds absurd value. And his stage 2 it is super conditional to get into, and tbh is just a winmore stage.

Hecarim should get overwhelm when he level up, other wise Riders should be 2/1 or ONE Rider 4/2 with overwhelm

Alternative is make Hecarim less beefy, but I am not a fan of touching his numbers, just removimg overwhelm and touch the riders.

I was just wondering and searching how to get most of the XP per day and I stumble across the winning trades with friends. Clearly, I have no friends in LoR right now. If anyone would like to add me to do this trades, I would really much appreciate. I can only trade around 8am-3pm, depends on how my schedule looks for the day.

I'm been messing around with a weird Even Highlander Mage deck recently, and it got me thinking. How good could some of the other Odd/Even decks be?

Obviously certain decks have seen play (Odd Warrior, Odd Mage etc), and certain decks still pop up in Wild fairly often (Odd Paladin, Even Shaman)

I played a bit in the deckbuilding challenge on the old site, and thought I'd see if there was much interest here for a more constrained challenge. Build an Odd or Even deck for each class, and see if you can pick up a win with it on the ladder. In the interest of getting people involved, I'll ask if you could limit completions to one every 8 hours (per person), so everyone can have a chance to get involved. If there is interest in this, maybe we could move to a more open, winner sets the challenge deck building thread.

I had an Escaped Manasaber on the field and my opponent had a secret (Freezing Trap). When I attacked with Escaped Manasaber it got bounced back to my hand, but I didn't get a mana. Now both Escaped Manasaber and freezing trap say "whenever" so I would think they would both resolve as I am declaring the Manasaber as an attacker.

Should theEscaped Manasaber get me a mana? Or is it supposed to work like this?

The game felt like such a slug before this patch.. now wow.. you can finish 2 games in the time it took you to finish one before.. the speed up is incredible noticeable.. sure it feels less epic.. and it's a bit too quick at times (Wonder how it feels for a new player(?)) but damn the game now runs quick..

if someone quit just cause the game felt slow for them I really recommend them to try the game again.

Anyone else notice?
