Iv seen many ppl complain about PVE content not being free anymore. If you stop and think about what you are getting in return for your investment, it is actually pretty decent.

• There will be PVE content consisting of 5 chapters. You get the first chapter for free.
• Each chapter (after the first one) will cost 700 gold.
• Each chapter (including first one) will reward you with 3 RoS packs for its completion.
• Completing all 5 chapters reward you with a card back and a golden Classic pack.
• Owning all 5 chapters will reward you with a golden Zayl, Shadow Cloak.

So lets sum this up:

• You pay 2800 gold total (or $20) and you get 15 RoS packs, 1 golden Classic pack and a golden copy of Zayl, Shadow Cloak.

So compared to previous, free PVE content, where the reward was a card back only, for basically 1300 gold (or literally $0 lul, since 15 packs in shop cost $20), you get a golden Classic pack and a golden Zayl, Shadow Cloak. Obviously the gold price is not as favourable as real money, but i think in the end it is ok, since we have the option to use gold in a first place.

That sounds like a pretty damn deal to me!

Very true. Golden Classic packs have its own, separate pity timer from the regular, non-golden Classic packs, do keep that in mind while opening.

Rise of Shadows is Hearthstone's eleventh expansion and is set to release on April 9, 2019.

New Keyword: Twinspell - You get a second copy of the spell (without the Twinspell keyword).
Schemes - Spells that get more powerful the longer you hold them in your hand.
Lackeys - These are 1/1 tokens created by other cards that have a variety of Battlecry abilities, such as dealing damage, giving other minions Attack/Health bonuses, or summoning new minions. More will be introduced throughout the year.
Old Mechanics: Look for some old mechanics that haven't been used in awhile to make a resurgence throughout the year.  We'll definitely be seeing the "Forbidden" mechanic from Whispers of the Old Gods where you are required to spend all of your mana to play the card (Forbidden: Ancient, Flame, Shaping, Ritual, and Healing).
Arena: The cardpool availability will change to include the following sets: Basic, Classic, Naxxramas, Whispers of the Old Gods, Goblins VS Gnomes, The Witchwood, and Rise of Shadows.
Pre-Order: $50 and $80 options will be available for pre-order and both come with the new card back "The Jewel of Lazul" shown below.

Some are probably missing but I find it interresting that mage has had every archetype represented, from the fastest aggro to grindy control and otk combo decks. The class has historically been weak at proactive midrange and controldecks, partly because the class had been relying on neutral minions from the midgame onwards. More reactive tempo playstyle decks have been viable several times, however, mainly because of strong secrets synergies and flexible burn spells like fireball and frost bolt.

Some archetypes have gone through big changes through expansions and nerfs, this will be explored more!

Welcome to HearthStation all! As of the creation of this thread, the website is still undergoing (very competent) development. As such, there will be surely be some problems or interruptions from time to time. In the likely event that you are the first to discover something that is not working as intended, please do let us know in this forum (with a NEW thread!) if you have a minute! If you are not sure if a thing is doing what is should be you can let us know that too, and we would be happy to shed some light on it and investigate!

When reporting bugs or other errors, please try to include as much information as possible. The more we have to go on, the easier it will be to solve! This would include things like the URL (www.domain.com/subdomain/all-kinds-of-other-fun-stuff), what you were doing at the time, a good description of what the problem is, a method of replicating this issue if possible, and even the time. All reports are greatly appreciated and play a part in building HearthStation to be the most reliable and feature-rich fan site for Hearthstone.

My wife got me to play this game with her reluctantly. I regret to admit that it is very fun and i keep playing it. I hate EA, but the developers are cool, as is the gameplay. I unlocked my first additional legend, Caustic, but i sort of wished i had chosen Mirage afterwards. Fortunately i read that Caustic is getting buffed. Anyway, has anyone else gotten into this lately.

Questions to those who enjoy building decks in Hearthstone:

• What sort of things lead you to construct the decks that you do?
• What are some common strategies and combinations that you really enjoy playing and iterating on?
• In the past, which mechanics or interactions really caught your attention and made you want to try them yourself?
• Do you prefer building new lists from the ground up, or iterating on existing archetypes?
• Has the meta ever influenced you to try building something new to counter it?
• When you get an idea, does it typically involve a particular strategy, or do you focus on a card you like to build around?
• Do you make use of tech cards often, or just play a particular list as is?

Questions to those who avoid deck building:

• What is it that you dislike about deck building, if anything?
• Has anything discouraged you from trying, or lead to you giving up at building a deck?
• What do you feel is the most intimidating or difficult part to building a viable deck?
• Do you find it more difficult to build decks in the constructed or arena game mode?
• What do you typically do when the weekly Tavern Brawl requires you to build a deck?
• What sort of tools or features do you think would motivate or allow you to build decks of your own design, if any?

The teasers have developed an interesting concept and it seems many are excited about the possibilities. Especially with the recent leak of Dalaran on one of the cards, there's a lot of talk about Violet Hold. I for one have a good feeling about the direction they are going with the lore of these new sets. Any bold predictions before they spill the beans?

It won't lose much with the rotation and I'm planning to give it a real try on ladder once the new expansion hits. This deck snowballs pretty fast and has quite some burst potential even if you lose the board several times. As usual with hunter, draw is an issue which can at least partially be solved with Cybertech Chip. As long as mass silence is not a thing, I'm very optimistic to make this work!

What do you think? Any ideas how to further improve the deck?

Bugs Fixed

• Fixed an issue causing web server instability.
  • Quite sorry for the interruptions last night and this morning. It wasn't caught until we started getting real traffic.
• Fixed an issue where card images went full derp. They were not their correct sizes.
• Fixed an issue where recent threads had their views and comment count columns swapped.

Changes

• Comments on the site now showcase colored usernames if you're lucky enough to have one.
• Comments no longer display the form if you are not logged in but instead are given a link and asked to login.
• Logging in via a login link on the site will redirect you back to where you came from. We have the technology!
• A link to sign out of your account has been added to the top user bar.
• Missing card images have been added. If you notice any missing, this is a bug and can be reported here.
• Tavern Brawl pages now display data on the weeks they were active. MAGIC!
• The brawl pages load faster.
• Articles on the homepage now show you how many comments they have.

  • Will display details on a new brawl when it is active.
  • When it is not active, it will tell you TB is closed and to wait. It will also give you a link to the last Tavern Brawl's guide.

Known Issues

• There is a problem with tables not being responsive across the site. This is being investigated and we should have a fix real soon.
• The responsive navigation on lower screen resolutions on desktop is a pain in the ass.

I know the site is obviously still in Beta stages, many more things need to be added (like being able to edit my profile as a user and change my avatar :P) and this is just another opinion, but wanted to make you guys know mine as a very long time user and great fan of Hearthpwn and its community. :)

The site looks pretty good so far, love the color scheme, the "atmosphere" in general, and especially Derpcorn, hehe. :P I'm not a super fan of negative votes in forums and not being able to see which user/administrator gave me an upvote or downvote, but I understand why you decided to implement this system in all places here and I hope it's for the best. I really love this initiative on your part, I think it's fantastic to have a new and more organized place for our beautiful community and I wish you sincerely the best of the best (yeah, Rasmay Bolton's numer one fan can be honest from time to time too XD).
