Do you think we'll get more celestial cards in the upcoming call of the mountain mini-expansions?

I personally think they shouldn't touch the celestial package anymore, it's in a good spot and plenty of people seem to hate it already. The only thing they could maybe do with future Targon cards is making them target invoke certain celestials.

So as title states.  I'm trying to create a singleton deck for the gauntlet and it's not letting me.  I go to my collection, select "singleton" under special rules, then I click "new deck". Try to add cards and the minute I try to add a 3rd region it errors out saying "you can't add more than 2 regions"

What gives? How the f am I supposed to create a singleton deck?  (I wasn't playing LoR last time there was a singleton gauntlet, didn't have time to play, so I apologize in advance if this has been answered before).

I had relatively smooth sailing to 6k, using a standard strategy and trying to hit power turns, but recently, most of my comps end up being garbage menagerie and I'm consistently hitting bottom 4, usually 6th and 7th.  I need some sort of basic guide, or someone to coach/spectate me.  I don't know what I'm doing wrong.  I'm not looking for hero specific guides, more or less just general strategy.  I feel pretty lost on every turn. 

Any help, tips, guides, suggestions, etc would be greatly appreciated.  Please don't downvote this simply because of who is posting - this is not a salt thread, this is a desperation thread.

This is the third deck i am about to push into the meta: Heimerdinger / Ezreal / OTK

The deck focus on keeping Heimerdinger alive with Bastion, then Turret Spam. 
It mostly wins because the opponent can't keep up with turrets, but the main focus is to buy time until Ezreal levels up.
In very long games, Shards of the Mountain generates enough Gem cards for an OTK.
Hush works very well alongside both champions.

I am experimenting a great deal of sucess in my ranked games, so I think the deck is very well optimized already, but maybe someone could catch some improvement. 

The flex slots are:
3x Jury-Rig
3x Solari Soldier
3x Guiding Touch
1x Hush

I don't think anything else is replaceable.

Thoughts?

Got a full playset of Trundle and Diana now and have been playing around with them in various lists.

Noticing that Trundle Tyndamere lists are starting to pick up in popularity thanks to their synergy with warmothers call

Dianna seems to like frostbite quite a bit if you want to try here in something other than day and night, or Nocturne aggro.

Next champions I will be taking on are Leonna and Taric so look forward to that.

I'd personally prefer the void with Cho'gath being one of the first champions available. But maybe with Targon being such a great expansion maybe they'll give us something less cool for the next region like Shurima before adding the Void.

It seems Aurelion Sol became a hot topic of discussion, so i am going to try my best to break down this card being as impartial as possible.
Take your own conclusions if the card looks fair or not at the end.

Lore: Aurelion Sol is one of the Gods who created the Runeterra universe.

Since Aurelion Sol is suposed to be the strongest champion of them all, from a design perspective, is very fitting that his mana cost is set at the highest price possible: 10 mana. 

But for a 10 mana cost to see play in any card game, it also requires to have an extremely strong effect.
Here goes a list with a few examples of traits hight costs cards own in other games:
1- Deals high ammounts of direct damage; -> King Crush (Hearthstone)
2- Affetcs the board on the same turn its played -> Shadow Reaper Anduim (Hearthstone)
3- Setup an One Turn Kill combo; -> Antonidas (Hearthstone)
4- Very hard to remove; -> Ultimate Falcon (Yu-gi-Oh!)
5- Generate infinite resource overtime; -> Deathstalker Rexxar (Hearthstone)
6- Snowball overtime (wins by himself if left unchecked); -> Ragnaros(Hearthstone)
7- Denny oponnents resources; -> Jynzo (Yu-gi-Oh!)
8- Protect the player from loss/taking damage/heal; -> Malganis (Hearthstone)

Aurelion Sol is a Boss card, and as such, given he has the highest mana cost price possible for a unit, he is supossed to pack the ultimate bomb effect to win games. He needs to have an even stronger effect then Commander Ledros as he costs more mana and uses a champion slot.
But is Aurelion Sol unfair? To answer that, we need to look at how other Late game decks are doing.

Maokai decks can pull their win condition by T7-T8. That means the oponnent gets 4 more turns as most players can't refill their deck.
It usually finish games by T11-T12.

Ezreal / Karma is an OTK deck. It requires Karma to be enlightned to pull off the combo, followed by Ezreal + spells on the next turn.
It usually finish games by T11-T12.

Anivia needs to be enlightned to proc her egg and level up, plus an additional turn to generate more Anivia copies.
It usually finish games by T11-T12.

Commander Ledros is played on T9 and Atrocity on T10. If Ledros is killed the combo takes longer.
It usually finish games by T10-T12.

Are we seeing a pattern here? Most control decks usually end games around T10-T12. Now lets examinate Aurelion Sol:

Aurelion Sol is played on T10 and if his conditions are met, he levels up after THE END OF THE TURN. So best case possible, the player may only play Celestials cards for free on T11 forward. It usually finish games by T11-T12.

Conclusion: I hope my work here can provide a better insight about Aurelion Sol's design for future reference.
I personally think Aurelion Sol is fair and on par with other control decks that see play on the current meta.

Little extra -> How to play around Aurelion Sol:
Play cheap spells on him to pop his spell shield and follow with a major removal, both with fast speed if possible to prevent counter plays. Another way is to ignore Aurelion Sol completely and focus to kill other units to deny his Level up in the end of the turn. Aurelion Sol by himself is "only" a 10/10 body do nothing with Fury which isn't worth its cost.

I’m curious what are your guys thoughts on the dragon cards? I had been a huge super frustrating losing streak, and then built a Demacia / Targon deck focused on Dragons, Striking opponents, and Rally. I have had a lot more wins against decks that had been destroying me. So I give them a thumbs up but I’m curious on your guys thoughts?

Zephrys the Great has been so incompetent to me lately. I'm trying to get to 1k wins with priest so ofc I'm playing raza priest in wild. Now this little wanker didn't give me any form secret removal of any sort when i had about 22 damage on board and lethal but opponent has iceblock. Instead he offers me high mana minions that deal only one damage and things like that. Can't he fucking see I've got so much damage, why do I need more?? I've lost exactly 4 games so far against quest mage because of this bs.  

In 2 other cases he offers me 5 mana Brawl, a 2 mana Shadow Word: Death and a 7 mana minion when I got only 3 mana left and opponent has 7 minions on board. Logically he should offer me Frost Nova because I'm dead next turn lad, there is over 30 damage on opponent's side of the board. But nope, i'm forced to take the Death and lose another 2 games.

I just have a little question I want to ask here, because I don't have a satisfying answer for myself.

After 2 finished custom expansions I wanted to try something new and started with a custom class. The class itself is focussed around minions as their winning condition. Spells buff their minions or clear enemy minions out of the way.

Now my question: Which Hero Power is the most balanced one out of these 6 (and a half) iterations?

1. [1 Mana] Deal 1 damage to a minion.
2. [1 Mana] Deal 1 damage to a random enemy.
3. [1 Mana] Deal 1 damage to a random enemy minion.
4. [2 Mana] Deal 2 damage randomly split among all enemies (enemy minions?)
5. [2 Mana] Deal 2 damage to a random enemy.
6. [2 Mana] Deal 2 damage to a random enemy minion.

I want to make the Hero Power as simple as possible. I had some very different approaches before the 6 I showed you here. But they were way to complicated as a Hero Power (I think?).

If Ihave a Solari Priestess in play and cast Morning Light with Daybreak. The priestess' Daybreak doesn't trigger.

I'd had it not trigger other daybreak  effects either. Am I missing something?

There are some pretty astounding conclusions to be drawn from the statistics that I will detail down below

1. They who endure, LuLu, Tf Swain, Scouts, Leona account for about 25 percent of the decks played at high level

2. Targon's highest win rate is 51 percent, due to the certain weaknesses and a reliance on high rolling invokes

3. No deck is played over 6 percent of the player base illustrating a lack of confidence in any one strategy

4.  Those who succeed likely rotate lists frequently to suit what they are playing against

5. combo oriented champs are disfavored against champs that offer immediate value

I had been anticipating some new cards launching but when they finally launched the Targon updates, I was completely disappointed.  I was totally not understand of why the creators doing all these, they are basically ruining their own game. 

My post here i would like to talk only about the dragons.... in fact i will criticize it. As seems that the game maker would not even bother the balance of power between the old cards and new. That stupid Aerolian Sol (i don't care if i spell right... it is a trash for me) basically make all the other heroes completely useless. And those stupid celestial/ dragon combo would allow the spamming of high cost monsters and spell at 0 costs !!!!! 

I understand the game maker approach to attract some money players, but create such an overpowered cards does not make any sense for me.

I start to think that they operate the game without any sense of ethnics.

Just got 7 wins with the following deck:

The best part of the deck was using the many Zenith Blades, along with burst spells to essentially negate my opponents removal.  Zenith blades made my Fizz stick to the board better and be a bigger threat on chip damage, and burst spells helped prevent any sort of removal used against him.  It was honestly a huge surprise to see this deck do so well.  And made me consider how viable a fizz/targon deck might be.

So anyhow lucky draws aside, I did have a question about expeditions...

Since I got 7 wins on my first trial, I got the 1600 bonus exp for the 7 wins.  However, In the past when I've gotten 6 or 7 wins.  I would go on to play a 2nd trial (just for fun).  However, when I open my rewards at the end of my usually worse 2nd trial...my rewards have felt like they were extremely sub par for 6 or 7 wins.

If I go 7 wins in the first trial, but then like 2 or 3 wins in the 2nd trial....does it take my 2nd trials results over my 1st trials for the rewards (regarding cards/capsules/shards?).  

When I play Targon with invoke cards I win. If I play other regions, I lose. Or it's a mirror match.

Not fun :(

She has never been a good card but now with Sol really wanting to be played with Freljord ramp or Thresh. But mostly ramp. She will never be picked.

These are my ideas to make her more viable. Bump her down to 8 mana. Make her a 8/8. Get rid of regen and give her something like fury or challenger. Then change her obliterate to kill 3 attack unites rather than 4 attack and only unites on board. Not in hand.

That makes her an option for Sol or troll ramp. Either use her or the new Dragon card that stuns people. I don't know its name. Also she doesn't step on the toes of Icequake because she obliterates 3 attack unites not 3 health ones and can also take out her own unites too.

It will be an option of do you want to keep two really annoying large unites stunned indefinitely next round on word or take out a bunch of low attack unites now?  

So after a long time of contemplating I have decided to actually just quit Hearthstone altogether. I have done this once before back in April but I came back out of boredom (and because the new expansion looked pretty good). HOwever, I can no longer play this game while keeping my sanity and it has become a huge time sink for me.

Basically my reason for leaving once and for all is this: The game has become way too....one sided? Basically over the past year swing turns have become more and more important....and this expansion is by far the worst. Basically every single class in the game has one or more brutal swings that either need an immediate specific answer or else the game is decided on the spot. Classes that don't have this resort to pure aggro (DH and Hunter for instance).

Essentially Hearthstone has turned into what I quit Legends of Runeterra over. A game where answers are sparse and a single play decides the game instead of multiple smaller ones.

To illustrate my point here's the summation of class dynamics right now:

Druid: Ramp to 7, get GA and win from there. If it gets dealt with use one of your many other game ending combos or cards to win. No real actual strategy involved, just play whatever you have in hand that keeps you alive or puts big stuff on the board.

Hunter: Doesn't have crazy swings, so burning your opponent to death is the way to go. Single player game because all you need to do is get as much damage in as possible.

Mage: Cyclone MAge is all about getting Mana Giant out as fast as possible. Highlander Mage is literally just an RNG fiesta at this point.

Warrior: Bomb Warrior is probably the only real control deck left in the game and its gameplan is literally to just spam bombs that your opponent can't interact with. Who thought combining Resident Sleeper Warrior with Face Hunter was a good idea?

Paladin: Between Alura and Argent Braggart they just generally tend to have better plays than everyone else on curve. If you fall behind you're not gonna catch up

Demon Hunter: pretty much just Hunter's mentally deficient brother. Ironically enough, probably the most "interactive" of the bunch and they still win by just going face

Shaman: Even the worst class in the game relies on sticking a totem on turn 2 or 3 and winning from there

Priest: plays a bunch of reactive garbage, but they can steal your stuff for 5-mana now and that's how they win.

Rogue: Their strongest deck revolves around playing minions that most opponents can't reasonably interact with. Any deck that doesn't is much worse by comparison

Warlock: literally got nerfed because all they did was swing the game by turn 3 in Wild. Will probably not even exist anymore in Standard afterwards.

I've tried just memeing and having fun and not taking things too seriously, but you can't have fun with slower decks or play for value if you either die inevitably or get curbstomped by turn 7.

What I used to enjoy about HEarthstone was the constant back and forth. Threat - answer- threat - answer - etc. If one player didn't have an answer they fell behind and had to find a way to deal with the situation which eventually decided the game. Sure, RNG was always a factor that could radically change results but there was always this sense of having an out (at least for most normal decks)

I just don't see the point in playing a game where every match boils down to: "Oh look I had a great mulligan, guess I win" or "Oh look I didn't draw my cards in order, I guess they win instead". And I know, things can always change and balance patches have been more frequent....but I really REALLY don't believe this current meta can even be fixed at this point. They would have to nerf basically every single class in some way and even then all that would do is tip the scales in some classes' favor.

Note that this isn't some sort of attempt to convince anyone to also quit the game. I'm really just trying to write down my own thoughts as a some sort of a final nail in the coffin. If you still enjoy this game then I envy you, but I just can't get the same kind of enjoyment...not anymore.

TL;DR I have made peace with the fact that this game isn't going in a direction I want it to and I'm tired of having to hope every single expansions and rotation that maybe things are going to be different this time around and always being disappointed.

Initially I wanted to go for a really melodramatic approach of dusting my entire collection and then spending said dust on crafting all my faavourite cards from the past in golden as sort of a memorial, but I don't even have the motivation for that anymore. I'll just let the account rot.

I do feel kind of sad about the fact that I won't really be interacting with you people anymore, because this site  has a pretty neat community and I've always enjoyed posting here. I guess you can take this as my final farewell. Perhaps digital card games just aren't my thing.

Maybe some day the stars align and we're blessed with some sort of meta that recaptures what the old days were like...but right now I can't see that happening until this entire year has rotated.

The reason for this is pretty straightforward

As I had mentioned before Targon champs aren't good.

They don't present win conditions.

In fact non champ plays like jamming a spectral matron at 8 onto the scourge and buffing your whole board is better then Sol

So is just buffing everything in your board, deck, and hand by 2

Or one sided board wipes

Or double vengence

etc. etc.

The other big issue is the 3 slot, bilge water has a 3/2 that summons a 2/1 on average

Targon has a 1/2 or 2/1 that doesn't do anything

In fact grabbing a 0 mana snake is often the right play and people don't do it

Anyway I digress what do you guys think of the meta

I believe most of you saw an increase in players Roping in your matches... So, I believe I found a bug.

Everyday, the very first time I use any Discover effect, the options simply... Don't show. Which causes roping because I can't do anything else before the Discover mechanic is accomplished, which causes a wasted turn.

It's important to note this also happens with Discover effects from Battlegrounds, like when you drop a golden minion in play.

Has anyone else seem this?

So I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this, but for about a week now my game has to update every time I start it. It's not a long update so it's really not that big of a deal, but it's long enough to be slightly annoying compared to the usual startup time, and I'm curious if it's just me or if this is also the case for other people.

So I had the opportunity to craft a lot of the core Targon invoke cards and figure out how the archetype is supposed to win, and the answer is easy.

cosmic inspiration buffs every one of your under-stated invoke creatures in deck and hand so they are grossly over-stated

You then get to absolutely crush the opponent

your 3/5 is a 5/7 your 1/2 is a 3/4 etc. etc.

If you are playing invoke allegience and you aren't playing inspiration you are basically just playing wrong unfortunately.
