I don't even play Runeterra anymore just making this because I generally like card games.
The idea is to use LuLu to buff cheap low-statted elusives in 4/4's and burst down the enemy.
(Yeah yeah elusives are braindead is probably what you will say)
I'm not sure if this is something I'm experiencing because I took a break from the game, or if it's just the nature of F2P in Legends of Runeterra, but it's a bit of a struggle to actually get cards …
I'm not sure if this is something I'm experiencing because I took a break from the game, or if it's just the nature of F2P in Legends of Runeterra, but it's a bit of a struggle to actually get cards on day 1.
It's a bit odd - LoR is generally one of the most F2P friendly CCGs out there, but specifically in the context of expansions, and because you can't bank EXP, it feels like you're always going to be stuck starting from zero with new cards.
Does anyone else feel this way, or is it just me? I like the fact that they ensured Labs meant everyone got to try new cards, but I want to make my own decks with the new cards but don't have the resources yet.

As stated in the caption this treat is about (permanent) Spellshield and Hush not targon in general.
Lets start with spellshield.
Why is spellshield in my oppinion a problem while barrier is perfectly fine?
1. It is permanent
2. there is not a single deck that can afford trading 2 spells for 1 unit (and keep in mind that most LoR spells arent even leathal for units)
3. it protects from global spell effects like ruination
4. spellshield units are hardly more expansive than non spellshield units
Meanwhile hush is devestating for:
most of the champions
the majority of elusive decks
the majority of buff decks
for frostbite
and in general synergy driven decks
Tell me guys: who enjoys this massive swing from an interactive synergy driven game to a game that is just about denying the opponent the opportunity to play the game?

Greetings there! I'm here to present you my version of how I would change Shaman's Core Sets. I'm jumping the bandwagon a bit with the changes after seeing some other people trying their reworks and generally accepting classes may need some updates.
This time, I've put crossfire onto Shaman. While it's very hard to actually do them, please don't think I'm going to make changes for literally every class, altough if I get bored, I might do in near future. Also chose Shaman this time, because they need some refreshment in their cards.

Explanations
Primal Fusion - allows for evegreen Totem synergy, showcases new players that Totems are not mere minions and amplifies Shaman's buffs as their strength. Seashore Guide - a simple Murloc buffer, but a good one at that. Makes Shaman the premiere Murloc class. Still not sure if it should be a 2/2 or a 3/2. Molten Blast - as much as I hate to break the rule I pointed to myself when trying to include Scholomance cards into the Hunter rework, this will probably make the cut. Some may say that it limits design space due to tying the number of elementals summoned to the damage, and I do have a bit of concers too. But in the end, it can make up for strong archetypes over an extended period of time, and at it's base is stable enough. Hot Spring Guardian - gives Shaman a decent early game bodyguard and some healing. Earth Elemental - now with it's art reworked and with it's functionality slightly changed. It's still a solid defensive body, but it can now deal with something by attacking. It can still be nice with Ancestral Spirit like it used to, but now that combo can be more proactive. Elementary Reaction - card draw is still needed for the class despite being its weakness, but this card combines both card draw and generation to give Shaman an evegreen tool to draw, generate value and, most importantly, have a reason to play Elemental decks. Whirlwind Spear - gives you a weapon to control early boards. Note that damaging one of the target's neighbours does not damage you simultaneously. Primalfin Totem - I… just want Shaman to have more evegreen Murloc synergy. It's also a Totem at the same time, contributing to Totem synergies. Volcano - has always been a great AoE for Shaman, so they deserve it. Also shows the RNG side of Shaman more than Lightning Storm. Thunderhead - a better Overload synergy card overall, makes playing such cards more beneficial. Also comes with the revert of its buff to better match the power level Classic Set demands. Tornado - a silly removal tool, truly embracing Shaman's random nature. But on average, you will deal with a lot of board states at the expense of some Overload. Still not sure if ti should be here, but that is probably the problem with massive Hall of Fame rotations, just like my Rogue core set changes where I also HoF'd around 48% of their set. Charged Hammer - embodies Shaman's burst side. It's a timely investment, but it gives you access to a good damaging tool. Neptulon - a massive card generation tool, but Murlocs are on average not the biggest factors in swinging you the game. And still gives you a tool to get Murlocs, which cements their place in Shaman's arsenal.

Evolve - as much as this form of mechanic has become a staple for Shaman, I do not believe it's healthy to include in the core sets in any capacity. It's way too toxic. Everyfin is Awesome - sounds fun to bolster Murloc decks even further, but it's too snowbally and limits design space. Moorabi - ah yes, the ever so legendary Freeze Shaman. I actually thought of trying to incorporate some of it's elements, including Moorabi, into the classic set to make it work, but in the end, Shamans aren't exactly known to master ice and more known as masters of the four basic elementals - air, earth, water and fire. Also too meme. Plague of Murlocs - debating whether this or Tornado is better to have. I wasn't particularly keen on this form of both RNG and nullifying enem boards. But tbh both cards are weird in every way. [Hearthstone Card (Sprit Claws) Not Found] - didn't think I need to give Shaman an evegreen way to have a Spell Damage archetype. Also hard to balance due to Shaman's Hero Power. Snowfury Giant - a solid body that rewards you for deckbuilding for heavy Overload cards, but I'm against most cost reductions in core sets. However, it could make Tornado look better, as its every instance of Overloading would contribute to this boy. xd Surging Tempest - probably the safest 1-drop I could imagine giving to the class, but Shaman has been historically too good when they got too many good early game tools and minions. Rain of Toads - solid, but lacked room. Among many, many, MANY other cards…

What is wrong in arena? (At least for me)
I don't like that the runs take a lot of time and you needs an insane win rate to actually profit from arena, I don't feel like sitting through 12 wins only to get trice the entry fee.. the arena feels unrewarding for the time poured into them.. I didn't play arena for over 2 years and I used to play more when I didn't had many resources it's feels like a chore..
I do enjoy the gameplay but it feels like such a big time and gold commitment to play.. I just hate playing it and losing too fast or make risky picks.
The reward system is the same since beta... SERIOUSLY.
Suggested estimated rewards that would feel better:
lower the entry fee, lower the max wins, increase the reward threshold.
entry fee:50 gold, win caps at 10 instead of 12.
0 wins you get 40 gold (so you can't reroll indefinitely)
1 win you get 70 gold worth of dust/cards/gold,
2 wins you get a pack and 20 gold worth of stuff. (the first pack is from the latest expansion)
3 wins you get a pack and 50 gold worth of stuff (3 wins is the new 7 wins, you have over 50% win rate at this point!)
4 wins you get a pack and 75 gold worth of stuff.
5 wins it's 2 packs and 20 gold worth of stuff. (the second pack can be anything even a yearly pack!)
6 wins you get 2 packs and 70 gold worth of stuff.
7 wins it's 3 packs the third is also random + a chance of a cosmetic.
8 wins you get 3 packs + a guaranteed golden rare + random reward worth 20 gold + a chance of a cosmetic.
9 wins you get 3 packs + a guaranteed golden rare + random reward worth 80 gold + chance of an epic + a chance of a cosmetic.
10 wins you get 3 packs + a guaranteed golden epic + random reward worth 100 gold + 50 gold + a chance of a cosmetic.
I just threw numbers and rewards but something that will be exciting to earn and not just.. "value" it feels bad to play arena and get some value we want to get special rewards or get guaranteed rewards on good runs.. arena feels BAD to win at and feels bad to get less than 7 wins you get less than the fee.. and need insane win rates. About the cosmetics: it's not a hero skin (maybe as a rare 10 wins drop) but it's something to grind for like some alternate card art or some old card backs.. give players a good reason to play more arena the mode is fun the entry fee is discouraging and so are the rewards.
More improvements suggestions:
1.Would also enjoyed the mixture of the expansions in arena but it wasn't conveyed correctly had no idea what to play or not around there was no way in game to tell which expansions were available.. for that a new feature needs to be implemented which is a peek into the available pool just open a collection manager which shows you the expansion available and what cards are legit or not, from the draft screen no need to do in game.
2. Arena tickets as rewards from quests + exp since they are 40 gold quest for none arena players this way. people who don't want to play arena can start and exit just to get the 40 gold, it will intensify players to try arena more and experiment more.
