This might be a dumb question, but do packs assign what cards you get in the pack when you receive the pack or the moment you open it? I mainly ask because I've got a quest right now to receive a Classic pack for watching a friend win. And there are several other quests to receive packs, plus this week's Brawl pack that we'll get starting tomorrow. And on top of all that, they just announced a bunch of new Classic cards!
So this all boils down to: Will I have a chance at getting some of those new cards if I wait to open them after they are added to the game? Or will I not have that chance as I received the packs prior to their inclusion?

I look at classes like rogue, which apparently supposed to have 4 major weaknesses and then see how other classes apparent intended fantasy is supposed to have maybe 2. Plus, I had to laugh at what T5 thought warlock was supposed to be 'weak' against. Warlocks are perhaps the most versatile class in the game when it comes to being able to make an effective deck from almost every single playstyle (aggro, midrange/tempo, combo, control, OTK) in both wild and standard to many degrees.
What are your impressions about the attempt to define HS class identity?

ARGUMENT FOR ROS/RASTAKHAN BUNDLE
PRO: I am missing a bit on legendaries from Rastakhan. As for Shadows, I'd love to get Chef Nomi or Heistbaron Togwaggle. (Fel Lord B would be cool if the mechanic could be viable; I love him in single-player Heist).
CON: $20 for 800 dust, a whatever card back and meh hero art at the worst.
Also, I had pretty good luck with the RoS set in landing key legendaries, plus the HOF dust helped. And I received three legenderies in the last six Rastakhan packs I opened (one golden). Don't think the Pack Gods are that generous still.
WILD SALE ARGUMENT
PRO: The only real legendary I'd be pursuing is Mal'Ganis.
Even if I don't hit it, and if I had the worst luck, 56x40 = 2,240 dust. Enough for maybe crafting Mal'Ganis, something in standard, or better yet, the next expansion. I also don't have much of GvG and The Grand Tournament.
CON: I'm playing Big Priest or anti-BP warlock decks (which would be my main gig if I didn't run into aggro and hunters they do poorly against). And I'd hate to reacquire some crap legendaries or epics I dusted.
THE NEXT EXPANSION ARGUMENT
PRO: They had a $10 or $20 sale for extra cards if I recall from RoS. More new cards and chances for whatever spiffy legendaries and epics.
CON: One big thing is I hate aggro. If the next expansion feels like it's going more for aggro and sticky minions, I'm leaning towards just playing Heist for the year. Feel like vomiting in boredom with hunters, tree druids and murloc shaman as opponents. (I like control v. OTK or another control myself).

Let's say I have a specific deck that I like, dislike, it's a meme-deck or whatever. I don't wan't it to show up in my search anymore. And why would I want it? I have already decided that this deck in particular is ether IN my radad or OUT of my radar.
As a database designer this feature would not only bring pleasure to users (like me), but with a filter and a UNIQUE INDEX you would save some resources as well. It could easily be implemented against a flag in user choice.

So with new cards being introduced in the basic and classic set, lets discuss their impact on arena. Most of them seem at least playable, some of them quite strong. The fact that they will be in arena every rotation, since they are part of the core sets, is important as well.
Let me share my first thoughts after seeing these beauties :)
Rating (1=excellent, 2=good, 3=average, 4=poor, 5=terrible)
Plaguebringer (1): Plague Scientist was a pretty ok arena card, but never an exceptional one due to the combo activation. This will be much better, since it is a battlecry. Stats r not that bad considering the effect, but you will have to be at least on board to take advantage of it. It will definitely be a heavy snowball card, that is for sure.
Radiance (5): Priest got the shortest of sticks here. I dont think anything can save this card in arena, i would probably rather have Purify than this and Purify was removed from the drafting pool back in a day for how bad it was. Just no :D
Siegebreaker (1): This card will be pretty strong in warlock. It is not the best 7 mana taunt we've ever seen, but the demon tag and the potential Raid Leader ability for demons might more than make up for that. In general, warlock does not have consistent access to strong taunts and this is a good one. And the potential demon synergy that will always be there, since Classic set is a core set and does not rotate, needs to be kept in mind.
Gift of the Wild (1): This card will be Silver Sword level broken, mark my words. Yes, it is coslty AF and you probably dont want more than 1 (max 2) copies of it in your deck, but you want it in your deck. Everyfin is Awesome was being played for 7 mana back in a day and it was a powerful buff card. Druid with its swarmy style, where you want to be wide on the board most of the time, will love this card. Not only can it act as a finisher (expensive Savage Roar), but more importantly, it can be used pro-actively, buffing your minions out of AOE range or help them trade up, survive the trade and/or push some more face damage all in the same turn depending on how you need to distribute your attacks. This card will make an impact.
Righteousness (3): We knew this card was coming sooner or later, it was just logical. I personally was curious what cost would it end up having and i think 5 mana is fair overall. It might be hard(er) to get decent value out of it in arena, but it can be a powerful win more card. Free trades into enemy minions or a pro-active protection from aoes? Even if (when) it lands on small minions, it will be SO annoying to get rid of them, cause you will have to spend more resources than you would like to, leaving minions up for paladin is always asking for trouble.
Brightwing (2): Decent value generator. It is no Messenger Raven, but close enough.
High Inquisitor Whitemane (1): Another super powerful win more card. You kinda need to be on board to get full advantage of it and you need to be able to trade the minions off, which is not what you usually want to do, but you can get an insane swing turn with this, literally Kel'Thuzad for 1 less mana that will trigger once. Often times might just win you the game on the spot. The base stats are actually good enough to play this card naked, so literally any minion you get from the battlecry makes this insanely powerful.
Barrens Stablehand (3): Little bit too RNG for my taste, but looks like an ok card on average. I can already see the trollden King Krush lethals from nowhere.
SI:7 Infiltrator (3): Very good card. Nothing amazing, but very nice card to have in the mix. Decent stats and nice ability to squash those secret lovers.
Arcane Devourer (5): I dont think we will see this card very often in arena. Maybe when you get it via random effect and you are so far ahead (or so far behind) that you will eventually play this. But 8 mana is just damn too high to combo it with anything on the turn you play it, not to mention that spells are kinda sparse in arena overall.
So, there you have it! Obviously a big portion of power level of each card will also depend on the power bucket placement, if they are placed properly, you might not see many of them too often, cause other as powerul (or more) and/or more versatile cards might be picked over them, but most of the new cards seem to have a strong potential in arena. Only time will tell :)

Content:
"POSSIBLE" SPOILERS FOR THE NEXT EXPANSION
- We might see a Finley one day again.
- There will be a few meme cards in the next expansion. (They have few of them for every expansion.)
WILD:
- Possible nerf for Big Priest in Wild would be primary Barnes, because nerfing all the ressurect effects would kill every other deck types (probably).
- Mike was also asking about what Wild people want to nerf in Big Priest.
- They are getting a ton of questions about Big Priest in Wild.
- Mike is actually playing wild a lot and his favorite deck is Reno Mage with N'Zoth. (Didn´t share his decklist tho :/)
- SNIP SNAP is not being really played in Wild so no nerfs needed.
- Naga the Sea Witch didn´t have that big winrate, but she was nerfed because It wasn´t fun to lose against that combo.
POSSIBLE FEATURES, DESIGN, UI, CARDS, ETC
- More "Glowing" types around cards has been already discussed but nothing to announce. (Mike said an example that they wanted to do a special red glow around E.V.I.L cards.)
- There might be a new hero card with Bartender Bob in the future.
- Removing "The Darkness" from the random generating cards (Evolve, Summon effects, etc) has been discussed and it might happen in the future.
- Expansion hints (as we saw with New Year announcement) are made to not spoil anything and they might be done to confuse players.
- We might see a new board design in the future with cards placed on it facing down to show everyone better your cardback and also clicking on the cardback would show it´s full art. (But it was just an idea and Mike said that it would be hard to get done.)
- Indicator for Hagatha´s token (Drustvar Horror) will be added in the future because a lot of people is asking about that.
- Mike said that they should explore more Sha characters (Like Shaku the Collector), as they have a really cool strories to tell.
- One day we might see more quest cards.
- We might see a new permanent mode in the future (something like adventures).
- They already spoke about Nozdormu effect Tavern Brawl and longer turn-making cards but they were too hard to make, so they gave up on these ideas.
INTERESTING THINGS IN GENERAL
- Ben Brode actually hired Mike to work with him.
- Jason Chayes is not in the team anymore, but they are speaking to him time to time to discuss things.

So Hunter confirmed as the most popular class in the meta, yet Rogue seems to be able to resist, despite the nerfs. But I guess Rogue players knew that already.
What do you think? Do you see more margin of development after the mid-term buffs? Or are we approaching staleness already, no matter what?
As titled, took this way for granted on the other site. This being looked into or can we put it on the cards so to speak XD

I'm not sure yet, but every now and then the idea of doing something with the dragon at the top of legendary cards comes to my mind. Maybe above the collarbone or something.

Just a quick question to raise to you all. I'm considering getting them for both the cards, and the gameplay, but are the cards worth it in wild? Or if so, should I only pick up some adventures and not others? Thanks in advance.
