Hi, I like playing Wild. There are a lot of different cool deck... this time I'm in mood to play Odd Warrior. My pick was Zeddy's. Doing fine right now.

What I ask here is there any card it would be good to replace? Squeeze some other tech card? I'm especially interested how important is Elysiana? Some decks run Azalina, too. For what? To copy Reno and stuff? Elysiana has a high played winrate. Rover has served me very well vs. aggro and I wouldn't cut him. This dilemma regarding Elysiana is connected to questions can Odd Warrior deal with anything slow without her and how many slow decks one can encounter post rank 5? I encountered Reno Warlock in the first match which ended in a draw (surprised Brann + Oracle to kill us both), but I would have won if Elysiana was in my deck. What about Direhorn Hatchling and Elise to help with fatigue? Or just discover Direhorn through Stonehill? Or simply pray for luck / give up in beating good slow decks.

Zola? I don't have her.

Another help I need is regarding macro strategy vs. certain decks. Playing Wild for half an year I got a lot of experience, still there's a lot to learn, especially now with Odd Warrior. So... Big Priest is unwinnable? Is there any theoretical way to beat Big Priest? What about Jade Druid? No Geist, no party? Are there any other polarizing decks vs. Odd Warrior except these two? I guess, in Wild you just need to accept these kinds of polarization and move on... What about this new Quest Mage and Exodia?. Exodia seems fine if I burn a combo piece. Good matchups should be: most aggro decks like Odd Paladin, Odd Rogue, Murloc Shaman, Aggro Druid, Pirate Warrior and stuff... then Even Shaman; Even Warlock balanced matchup... Thanks god, Kingsbane is down, because I remember destroying Odd Warrior with him very often.

So today I was doing the random deckbuilding challenge and I ended up landing on Exotic Mountseller. While yes, I ended up building a deck that included two copies of her, I never really felt like the card did anything too useful in it.

Has anyone found her a home anywhere?

I'm very much trying to play on a budget. It does mean that when I play, and my opponent has Zilliax, I lose. Seems a bit of a must-craft card.

I could craft others in stead, but most decks need at least one legendary that I don't own. Zilliax seems the best value to craft. However, I only have 500 dust at the moment.

Is there a way I can find out which of my rare and legendary cards are the likely to be the least regrettable cards to disenchant?

Just a little qol thingy, but is it possible to implement a 'back to top' button/link or a button/link to go back to the (sub)forum?

Hearthstone’s Newest Expansion

I've been passively working on a custom expansion since Kobolds and Catacombs. I regularly changed the cards to make them as balanced as possible or when Blizzard uses one of the ideas I had. Finally, I finished all 135 cards based on everything in Pokémon Sun and Moon.

Originally I was going to wait until I finished a trailer for it before posting the cards. But since Hearthpwn is closing its doors, I gotta post this while I can.

Notes About The Expansion

• This set features every Pokémon Gen VII and a lot of moves it introduced.
• These cards aren’t necessarily meant to create new archetypes or even be good cards necessarily. Having the cards represent each Pokémon is the goal as opposed to making 135 meta defining cards.
• I developed a theme in which a player plays a card, then a continuous effect will occur during a player’s next turn only. This effect will not feature a keyword in the same way Joust didn’t.
• Z Moves are special subset of spells that can be acquired with 4 of the neutral legendary minions.
• I take no credit for the card art. It's all fan art from various artists and scenes from the anime/game.
• Even though most Pokémon are based on animals, I limited which ones I classified as Beasts to the ones that are more “Beast-like” than others.
• I tried to keep card text continuity as consistent with the real cards as possible.

Druid- Choose One Synergies, Healing, Gonk (Hey, gotta support my fellow Raptor Bro)

Hunter- Beasts, Deathrattles

Mage- Spells, Freeze, Elemental, Casino, Spell Protection (New)

Paladin- Dragons, Mechs, Divine Shield

Priest- Thief, Healing, Deathrattles, Board Sabotage (New)

Rogue- Thief, Poisonous (New)

Shaman- Overload, Elemental, Spells, Freeze

Warlock- Zoo, Discard, Health Sacrifice

Warrior- Armor, Hero Attacking

• Unlike Branching Paths and its Choose Twice effect, Lunala’s Choose Two makes the player choose 2 different choices, disallowing choosing the same choice twice. This is largely to prevent Lunala from being Flamestrike on a stick.
• [Fan Fact] Lunala’s effect is a mix of Starfall’s and Starfire’s effects.

• [Fan Fact] Passimians are known for being stronger in numbers, even in the Pokémon TCG.

• [Fun Fact] Necrozma's Battlecry refers to the fact that is is a Pokémon from another dimension, making it "Surrounded by Mystery".

• [Fun Fact] Magearna's effect is based on its ability Soul-Heart, that increases its power when another Pokémon faints.

• Minior doesn't gain Health when it takes damage while attacking. Your opponent must make the action that deals damage to it. This prevents some of the nonsense Gahz'rilla is capable of. 

• [Fan Fact] Salandit in the game has the ability Corrosion, letting it poison Pokémon that otherwise wouldn't take damage from it.

• When Zing Zap refers to Locked Mana Crystals this turn, it means the Mana you can't use that turn and not the Mana Crystals Overloaded from cards played that turn.
• [Fun Fact] Xurkitree's original design was basically a Lightning Storm on steroids. It dealt 1-8 damage to all other minions.

• [Fun Fact] Alolan Marowak's effect is intended to perfectly synergize with its signature move Shadow Bone.

• [Fun Fact] Bewear's effect references the Bewear in the anime that constantly shows up and runs off with Team Rocket.

• [Fun Fact] Silvally and Type: Null have two references. They are every minion type because they're basically an "Amalgamation" of other Pokémon. Also, they were created to hunt down Pokémon that come from another dimension (minions outside the game).

* Tokens

• Z Moves are special powerful spells that are given to players with the effects of the Neutral Tapu Legendaries. There are 18 Z Moves in total, but you can only have access to 3 depending on what class you are. So when you “add” a Z Move to your hand, you get one of the three.
• Each class has One Z Move exclusive to it and Two Z Moves that it shares with another class.

• Subzero Slammer's Blocks of Ice, are the same as the ones from Sindragosa in the Frozen Throne Solo Adventure. They make the minion permanently dormant and do nothing but block space on the board.
• When a minion has both Taunt and Immune, the Taunt is ignored (Much Like Stealth). This is actually programmed into the game, so it makes Twinkle Tackle's Immunity during your opponent's turn less an acceptable concept.
• [Fun Fact] Inferno Overdrive was originally going to be "Destroy a minion", basically making it a targeted Deadly Shot. In the end it became deal 30 damage for no other reason than It Sounds Cool.

• Much like Dr. Boom, Mad Genius, Necrozma's base Hero Power consists of multiple individual Hero Powers.
• Each turn, the usable Hero Power will rotate through the three Eclipses, beginning with Dusk Mane, then Dawn Wings, then Black Ray.
• Necrozma's Hero Power is strong, but is balanced out by the fact that it's an end of turn effect.
• [Fun Fact] Dawn Wings Eclipse's Effect is a reference to the fact you can find Pokémon from past generations in Ultra Space.

This issue is probably too small to be news post worthy but I think it would be interesting to discuss it anyway.

There has been reports on Reddit that when using the autocomplete feature, you can end up with duplicate legendaries in your Brawl deck. One user also reports getting Don Han'Cho in a Druid deck. I sure hope this is only a brawl issue...

Have you noticed anything weird with autocomplete? Or have you faced a player with too many copies of a legendary?

So... Please help me explain this:

With Vargoth up, I played Goblin prank on a minion, and it recast on vargoth himself at end of turn, but (as expected, same as Soularium interaction) he didn't die. Excellent. Even better, he survived to my next turn.

To my surprise, when I pressed end turn, he instantly died!! As if the Goblin Prank effect triggered a turn later! I certainly felt pranked, to say the least!

(P.s. I don't run goblin prank - picked it from marked shot) 

I have only posted a little, but I cannot find an easy way to keep track of discussions I've participated in. Am I missing something or is there nothing to miss yet?

Apologies if this question is in the wrong forum or if it has already been answered.

That idea occurred to me while editing my guides. If there are new deck-guide features being implemented over next site updates, I believe this feature should be considered. We use tables and scripts such as cardimg, yet we can only see our "real template" after deck-guide is saved. If we don't like it, we need to edit a guide over and over again, which can be time-consuming. What if there were "Preview" button that lets us have a look briefly, so that we can save only once, rather than multiple times?

Imagine that you have to design new Hearthstone's expansion.

The trick is, you know, that there will be no more packs. Each card will be available for a small amount of gold.

How do you design all 135 cards, so that every one of them will be cool to buy?

Example for the current state of things:
Select "Hunter decks" -> try to select an archetype via filter -> you get offered archetypes from all classes (probably just all the archetypes there currently are avaible).

Request:
Would it be possible to narrow down the filter for archetypes to the class I chose? I actively selected "Hunter decks", so it feels awkward to scroll through a list of archetypes from all classes until I find for example Malygos Hunter waaaaay down the list. There are 153 archetypes as of now, 12 of them Hunter. A selection of 12 would be a lot easier to choose from than 153.

Aside from that: great job, thanks a lot for your dedication and work! I deleted hearthpwn from my bookmarks this morning ;-)

It has been a busy week at Out of Cards!

New Features

• Tavern Brawl Decks (As of Wednesday) 
  • You can now associate a deck with a Tavern Brawl.

  • Tavern Brawl decks replace the front page Pro Decks listing when a constructed brawl is active.

• Member profiles now have a header with their avatar and side navigation. Early work to make member pages better!

Hello there, I'm a casual player like many others, so I just wanna know if it is possible to add the "contains" text box in the search engine of decks that allows to type there some cards which are in the collection of people who doesn't have all cards yet.

Do we really need two links that go to the exact same page in the top nav bar? Perhaps the Hey, yournamehere! should stay like it is, and Profile should be removed or replaced with something else. I'm not sure what's currently implemented that would be a good fit though.

I've noticed many of the card images here don't have the watermark that identifies which set the card belongs to. Somebody may reference a card, and I'll likely have no idea which set it is from without looking it up. How difficult or time consuming would it be to remake the images with the watermarks?

A thought occurred to me while looking at Pyros. There are adventure/expansion guides for all Hearthstone content. For sake of convenience, when we click onto expansion/adventure logo, it should redirect to respective guide. In this case, Pyros should redirect to Ungoro guide if clicked on. What do you think of the idea?

I went to check out what Hot Wild Decks were featured on the front page today to find over half of them were just Tavern Brawl decks despite already being featured in the Tavern Brawl specific deck feature section.

If a deck is made specifically for a Tavern Brawl it shouldn't show up in the Hot Decks section for either format.

As Out of Cards isn't an hearthstone only site as some competitors of old, I think that we should change a little how we handle discussion about things that aren't hearthstone related.

How things are now: we have a big section called "Hearthstone" that contains a lot of different things about our favourite game, a smaller section called "Magic the Gathering" with things related to different media (Magic Arena and paper magic, but more Arena of course), a "Fan Creation" section that seems to be Hearthstone related, and an "Off Topic" with a "video game" subsection.

What I propose: while it's clear that Hearthstone is the most important reason people come here, we must say that there can be more. So I propose to change the section Magic related to one called something like "Other Collective Card Game", with a Magic subsection and an other sub section. Maybe now it would be nearly empty, but in future, who knows? Yugioh, Eternal, Elder Scroll Legends, Artifacts, the secret thing I'm working on, there are a lot of CCG on the market people can discuss on.
For the same reason, in the "Fan Creation" section we should have a section for creations that aren't Hearthstone related. I loved how on hearthpwn there were the card creation contest, I know that it's a feature that will be implemented, but there is no reason to stop around Hearthstone. Why not support people who make fan card of Magic? Or Yugioh? Or who want to share arts or code or projects for new ccg?
Both are things that shouldn't go in a "video game" under "off topic" section, that is for things that aren't ccg.

I saw that there are now at least 2/3 thread dedicated to other ccg, so sooner or later it can be something implemented.

Has anyone been playing Elder Scrolls: Legends with some tips for newbs? I started playing the game last week and haven't decided if I like it or not. I finished the free adventure and played arena quite a few times to get more free stuff. I've also played some ranked games and have gotten to rank 9. After losing a few ranked matches I started searching the web for ideas and / or advice and found the usual things. The only thing is that when I web search for things related to the game the links seem really old. Nobody seems to be talking about the game anymore in the year 2019. I find this sort of weird, given how there is a new expansion coming (or already out?) I think the graphics are kind of lame, so maybe the lack of cosmetics is the cause of the internet's silence?

I think I've got the basic strategies down for playing the game correctly. My problem right now is that I need more knowledge and experience. However, I've got to say that the pre-made newbie decks are pretty effective for playing ranked matches at the lower levels. For now I've decided to just keep using the free stuff to play on ranked because I don't think I could afford to invest money into TWO card games. Also, even though I feel kind of stuck in ranked play, I don't feel like I'm at a serious disadvantage with my decks. I've been losing probably due to lack of experience, given that my opponents don't seem to be all that great yet. I feel like I lose because "oops" more than anything.

So, if anybody has anything to share to help me out with my free-to-play Elder Scrolls: Legends (mis)adventures, I'd be grateful. If you think I should buy something, I don't consider that bad advice, if it's a good buying tip. Still probably won't buy anything, though, for now, but I could think about it and put it off for the future.

So earlier this week, I made it to Legend for the first time, and today, I got to play (and beat) Brian Kibler! I am almost embarrassed to admit that I was essentially starstruck. For starters, I am an old school MtG player, so Kibler is basically a living legend in my opinion. It was also the first time I have ever played against (that I know of) one of the Hearthstone pro's. 

And, for what it's worth, I did resist the urge to snipe him. I only looked at Twitch after I knew the game was done, just to see if it was actually Kibler.
