Nightmare On Emerald Street Card Design Competition

Ursoc is a animal spirit corrupted by the Emerald Nightmare and is one of the raid bosses in the Emerald Nightmare raid in WoW. The base version is a powerful 8-damage removal tool that can functionally be removed with 5-damage. The Corrupted version retains its removal capabilities, but also becomes a very dangerous damage threat if left unchecked and has synergy with both N'Zoth, God of the Deep and [Hearthstone Card (Y'shaarj, the Corruptor) Not Found]

As you use Xavius' Hero Power to curse minions, the Rift of Aln upgrades. There are three stages, each progressed by 3 uses of the Hero Power:

1: At the start of your opponent's turn, cast Nightmare on an adjacent minion.

2: At the start of your opponent's turn, cast Nightmare on adjacent minions.

3: At the start of your opponent's turn, cast Nightmare on all friendly minions.

A spin on Druid's abilities to build a wide board and their abilities to benefit from said wide board (modeled after Soul of the Forest in particular). Here you get a benefit from your opponent's wide board and build your own wide board from it. Though it can potentially build a powerful board from your opponent's board for a low Cost, Druid does lack any powerful AoE to make the effect too strong. Compare to Vivid Spores in that regard.

The Emerald Nightmare starts these outgrowths on some of the roots of the World Tree, which is taxing on the nature around it.

It's a control tool for Druid. It punishes decks that rely too heavily on card draw and gives a slight advantage to Big Druid, since 1 Mana makes less of a difference on expensive cards compared to cheap ones.

Functionally similar to Circus Medic, Ysera of the Dream is a Corruptible Hero card with divergent effects:

• Normal Ysera is associated with life, and thus creates Treants. Her Hero Power upgrades when you play more minions, showing your dedication to the verdant Emerald Dream.
• Nightmare Ysera has been Corrupted by the Emerald Nightmare, and has become an agent of death and decay. Her Hero Power upgrades when minions succumb to the madness and die.

How you use Ysera of the Dream, whether as a top-end to a Treant/Token deck or in a "Nightmare Control" deck, demonstrates your allegiance to the Dream or the Nightmare, kind of like Vanndar Stormpike and Drek'Thar.
