Actually, they work fine together. Even after casting Men at Arms, the Recruits get the bonus from Carnival Barker. They are summoned as 1/1, get the +1/+2, then get the +2/+2. I found this out the hard way...
It certainly isn't working currently, every time I try to start a game with a Demon Hunter deck I get an error message. Unless I am somehow doing something wrong.

It's live as of now, you just have to manually choose update from the launcher menu.

Do the issues only affect Android devices? I play daily on iOS and have not had any of the issues anyone is describing.
Just hit the ninth golden hero-Jaina. Arena was good to me, giving me 6 straight Jaina picks to knock out my last 30 wins.

Also "Nesting - After a minion is played, it gains "Deathrattle: Summon a 1/1 copy of this minion."

As good as getting both effects will be, I think the lost tempo of at least four total mana will put you too far behind.
My first nine victory Arena run (back when nine was the most you could get) included five copies of the unnerfed version of this.
