I think it would be better to do years for 2 set rotations instead of 3, but that'd be a pretty major change.

Pretty sure they said they'll still do announcements in place of an actual blizzcon.

They might add more tradeable and frenzy cards in the last miniset, but Alterac will have a new keyword.

Horde/Alliance cards would require a lot to implement properly, but it'd be a lot of fun.

Because there's a lot of really strong long-cooldown nature abilities. Like Call of the Archdruid. Use this, double that. 8 damage to the enemy board. It's pretty rare that Elune's Grace will be used on Tyrande herself anyway, but that's always just a play in your back pocket.

Also Elune's Grace with Greater Arcane Missiles can do 30 base damage in a single turn.

I think most of the time mixed comps will be the name of the game. There's a lot of mercs the bridge gaps between say, Orc and Fel, or Human and Shadow or Shadow and Fel, or whatever which lets you kind of mix and match what you want.

I look at it as more of a like... Pokemon or MOBA situation. Where you have supports and you have your carries. So for example your opening might be Anduin, Jaina, and Varden let's say. Varden and Anduin are there to support Jaina, who's your opening carry. Jaina helps deal with the team's fighter weakness because the water elementals block attacks and provide strong crowd control to freeze enemies. Anduin deals good damage while healing himself and Jaina (or damage protection when you're anticipating some burst). Then your backline can either be strong finishers to deal with what your opponent has left, or something like Tirion who has good synergy with Jaina or with Anduin so he can kind of sub for either.

Or you just have Jaina as a guardian killer because your team is really weak to guardians and she handles them extremely well and you don't capitalize on her human or frost synergies at all. That was more my point, that you can do that with Jaina, you can't really do that very well with Anduin.

I think it's sort of deceptive to think that because say, you're running fire magic users, your whole team has to be fire magic users, when maybe you only need 2 fire magic users. (Depending on which fire users those are, some are more dependent on the synergy than others)

Brightwing and Guff actually have terrific synergy. If your bench wants buffs like that, then you might as well have both in your opening.

Brightwing also has a super fast nature skill for Guff to combo off of and she can heal him. Then your third could even be Alex or something (for the dragon synergy) and she can burst down/threaten out fighters for them.

I think it must count while she's on the bench. It's worded that way and it'd be a lot worse if it doesn't.

Meaning her role is really two fold. Late game burst in a comp with a lot of healing and also she can be a utility/tech against attackers.

Anduin just seems REALLY dependent on role synergy. Even more so than a lot of other characters who have spell school or tribal synergies. (i.e. Voone can summon his own dragons, Jaina can freeze targets with her Water Elemental)

I think MAYBE you just run him because Holy Nova and Penance are so good, and don't necessarily rely on the human synergy (Penance can just heal Anduin) but I think one of his biggest strengths is Holy Word: Salvation, so I dunno.

Really fun concept. I feel like one comp I want to try is this with Tyrande & Furion, and then a bunch of attacking-based mercs in the back. (Sylvanas, Illidan, maybe Tirion, probably Grom or something just to not have too many fighters.) Lets you bring in your backline heavy hitters while being extremely disruptive without having to sac anything.

One thing I notice about the pre-order mercs is they all get massive speed upgrades from leveling up their basic abilities. I suppose this is a way to kinda gate them from being too strong right off the bat, while also making them extremely powerful and desirable once you have.

Once he is upgraded the Lich King seems really, really powerful. Able to be both extremely punishing, lots of survivability and super disruptive.

Clearly a mid-late game finisher merc. She has obvious synergy with any merc that summons a lot. Looking at Jaina, Voone, Rexxar -- all of which summon tokens of different tribes. So she fits into a lot of different tribal/spell school comps potentially.

I wonder if you can build a pure token-summoning comp that just exists to power up Sylvanas, and then use some strong support characters like Tirion or Xyrella or something in the late game to keep her alive.

Water Elementals just seem stupid powerful on their own. A great anti-tech against attacking mercs. She benefits from Ice Floes on her own, but the Varden synergy is actually great (makes it more likely for them to get procs off of their Cold Snaps). But even then I think the Varden synergy is mostly just gravy for what is otherwise an extremely disruptive merc, Jaina seems super powerful on her own.

Her abilities also just do a fair bit of damage with no cooldown and she can snowball off of her own casts.

The Pokemon Daycare doesn't even offer XP anymore.

But I think in *theory* this serves the same purpose. You stick a merc you don't care about, but really need (like a healer or something) to level it up, so that it can be used in your PvE runs.
