An interesting side note in the new update notes:

"Downtime for Tavern Brawls has been reduced to 1 hour per week. Tavern Brawls will now begin every week on Wednesday at 9:00 AM PDT and end the following Wednesday at 8:00 AM PDT  (times and dates will vary by region)"

I'm quite excited for this change. I wonder what you all think?

I don't really mind about the card art changes, for the most part the new art looks nice and crisp.

Bit annoyed about the card name changes but people will get used to it soon enough.

I am glad they used similar colour palletes for the cards so you can recognise them at a glance. All except Headcrack....  Blizz clearly realised that nobody plays it and thought "fuck it"

I don't know much about WoW so I just googled the new hero character and saw that he built WoW's version of the Great Wall of China. Today I learn!

Not sure if my point came across properly, what I mean is like for example warrior gets mech bundle, big minion bundle , then your deck becomes a hybrid ladder/arena deck with treasure cards and start of game cards. But Blizz can just release NEW cards that work with lesser used cards like alarmobot, OR experiment new cards with new synergies previously unheard of. I mean new archetype with new synergy (for example Spell Warrior or Exotic Mountseller Rogue)

Oh right, I understand now thanks! I think the buckets are really useful to help give your deck a direction, but they can be a bit too prescriptive. I wouldn't get rid of them myself, but it would be great to see more buckets in future or for Blizz to adjust the current ones in future, to keep the game fresh.

I'd also quite like the option for a 'completely random' run where you can choose cards in the same way as Arena (before the bucket system was introduced there).

I'm looking forward to seeing how they build on the Heist run with future single player content!

Personally, I would throw all the current class archetypes out of the window

Out of curiosity, why would you prefer that?

I personally would LOVE more opportunities to change your deck composition (not just adding cards). Having Bartender Bob appear twice per run doesn't feel like enough. I feel like too often my heist decks feel bloated and without a well refined strategy.

I would love stuff like chance events to ditch cards/pick up other singleton cards. More random events, basically!

Actually, it's just a lategame trick for me. I'm trying to build it as a Tempo deck, with Val'anyr as its ultimate Value generator for whenever the game stretches for too long, but not as its average wincondition.

If that's the case then I'd ditch the Ebon Dragonsmith - there are probably higher tempo plays you can make on T4.

There are a few silences/transform effects floating around in Wild (evenlock, shaman, mage, priest(sorta)) so Val'anyr may not consistently generate value.

It's definitely worth testing though. If you are on EU let me know and you can test some builds (I've got the card).

Haven't played much since the adventure hit though but looking forward to getting back to it in June.

Can't wait for the Dr Morrigan post-buff meta! ;D

Thanks for the advice. I should have a bunch of cards laying around as I started playing Hearthstone before even Naxxramas and purchased packs for a lot of the past expansions. If there is one thing I keep seeing is that "Big Priest" deck. I see too much complaints on it. Also saw some Warlock shenanigans.

Haha. I will try it out sometime in the future like I said. I am looking for something entertaining as I've had too much Standard grind. Just let me hit top 1k already :(

Yeah big priest is a divisive deck, which causes a lot of complaints, but it's not been as common on ladder as rogue was in standard before the nerf.

Good luck with the standard grind. If you end up trying out wild, then if you get to legend you'll most likely be top 1k as there are fewer players! :P Might as well if you've got old cards lying around!

As long as this site doesn't have the redirects to spam websites then I'm sold. ;)

    Cheers!

Wild is a bit crazy, but it's really varied before rank 4 as people can play anything.

If youve got cards from before the rotation, then I'd recommend you give wild a go! The meta is all over the place right now so it can be rewarding if you like that sort of thing.

You can check out wild meta reports on Vicious Syndicate, Tempo Storm and RankStar for inspiration. If you're interested in grinding rank 5 for the epics, then you can do so easily without spending much dust.

I quite enjoyed the climb from R9-6 in wild this month using the new quest cyclone mage. Really fun to play, and the deck provides some insane moments. Think I had an almost 100% winrate against big priest too, which is a plus!

Hit a bit of a wall of aggro at 6 so finished the climb to rank 5 with odd paladin. Bit ashamed, but it was more efficient!

Haven't touched wild since the new nerfs but I'm interested for next season without all the Kingsbane running around!

I love that people were chancing their hand at asking for dust refunds! :P

In seriousness though, I hope the buffs approach pays off and is used in the future. I would have loved to see this for previous sets, especially with build around cards like Legendary quests and weapons. It would go a long way to tackling that horrible feeling of unpacking a 'bad' legendary.
