Yep - it's shame they don't release any new cards at card rotation time that could more than offset the loss of a single card.

    Hey, wait a minute.....

They will ALWAYS prefer mana nerfs because they're the easiest changes for casual players to digest. People who post on Hearthstone message boards are a tiny, tiny fraction of the player base.

Mana cost nerfs will always be their preference because they don't confuse casual players the way functionality nerfs do. Like it or not, casual players are the VAST majority of the player base.

Just curious: how many games did you playtest the nerfs for before coming to this dejected conclusion?

"Midrange" is a hybrid deck, not one of the three main archetypes.

"most people will" - where's your evidence for that? There are tens of millions of players. These streams get only a small fraction of that number of views.

You're forgetting Tastyfin and Witchwood Piper can also tutor it. Care to reevaluate?

Look at the win rates. It's not a problem.

    "Which they blatantly lie about"

Classic fallacious thinking. "I don't like this answer so it must be a lie!" Well reasoned, Mr. Trump.

Solo content is more than a month away. Obviously you'll know about it before release, just not yet. Have some patience.

Because they bring actual data about win-rates to the discussion instead of a bunch of feelings. Show us the data and make a reasoned argument.

Uhh... management only allows them to answer some of the questions. Welcome to running any business ever. Stop asking questions they obviously won't answer about future releases and game modes and you'll see less evasion.

WHY does it "belong" in meme tier? There's no reason for that other than "it makes some people angry," and that's not how they balance the game. Aggro makes me angry, but I know that the game would suffer immensely if it didn't exist.

You have it backwards: as long as people complain about it, it will be on Blizzard's "to watch" list. That's how they make the list, man. If no one was complaining, they'd ignore it.

There is no universe in which Hagatha's Scheme is the best AoE clear in Hearthstone history. It's not even CLOSE to as good as Psychic Scream, and I'd argue that most board clears in the game are better than the Scheme because they're playable when you topdeck them.

"Considering Blizzard-Activision just nerfed a bunch of cards' artwork just because of China"

Except that this theory is 100% unconfirmed, and they have no reason to lie about it. But cool, spread disinformation with impunity.

"Electra Stormsurge, because a spell would activate 4 times? Ok, if that works (?)"

It doesn't work that way. If it read "Battlecry: your next spell this turn casts an extra time", then you could get to 3 times casting one spell. But as written, no matter how many times the battlecry procs, it'll only ever cast the next spell "twice."

That's the only one I'm bummed about. The old art was REALLY good. RIP in peace.

I figure we are at least 8 weeks away.  Still lots of time to save.

The last three years, they've barely varied the release schedule: August 11 2016, August 10 2017, August 7 2018. So we're probably only about 5-6 weeks away.
