Those are all GREAT advice. Thank you all for the help! I may not have time to watch streamers though (I still play Hearthstone for Battleground and occasionally other modes to clear quests)
Hi all, I'm a multiple-time Legend player in Hearthstone, just started playing LoR. I'm free to play. So far I have been enjoying it by trying to build decks with my small collection myself and sniping a few wins over more complete decks on low ladder. Though I have a really hard time deciding which cards and how many copies to include in my decks.
If anyone has similar HS background but have been in LoR for a longer, any general advice on how you have approached this game? E.g., which beginning Champions do you think are good (and fun)? I liked Braum and Jinx the most. Lux feels really weak. Any advice on how to build up your collection? Any cards to craft? What about expedition? I averaged 7 wins in Hearthstone Arena and that's where I started to build up my collection in HS. So I'm really interested in trying expedition, but any advice is welcome.
The biggest problem for handlock in standard is not value - it has a ton; neither is its hand size after turn 7; the problem is how it can survive against aggro prior to turn 5 and how it can turn the board over without a flexible card like Defile. Either with or without quest, Handlock hardly has anything to play before turn 5. Twilight Drake or Hellfire are the best card you can hope for but often you will die even after playing them. New dragon cards (lifesteal Eviscerate and the 5 mana Duskbreaker) will help but certainly not enough to make the strategy work.
As far as I like the conceptual innovation behind Valdris Felgorge, it is still a win-more card. Sprint wouldn't see play in warlock and a 4/4 body is not enough to push it over the edge. Abyssal Summoner, on the other hand, can help stablize and I can see it being played in Even Warlock in wild. But my prediction is that Valdris Felgorge won't make it into a competitive deck.

Cheers!
My opinion will seem unpopular, but I rated 2 stars for Valdris Felgorge and 3 stars for Abyssal Summoner. Let me explain:

Graveyard still isn't an official thing in HS so probably not
Vilespine Slayer power creep? This expansion is insane...
