As long as i can get my 9k gold worth of stuff by the end of 4 months, i'll be happy about it, since this system seems to be a lot more interesting to play than those daily quests. Let's just hope it's not just a shiny new thing to distract us from the fact that it'll reduce our resource gathering between expansions...
Activision is slowly transforming every game it owns on "random mobile cash grab trash". HS is going down this road for a while now: decks now need more legendaries and epics, less free things over the whole year, more "spend this gold you carefully saved for months if you want some fun!" and now they will mess with how much gold you can get between expansions with a rework of daily quests.... there is also the tinfoil theory that this whole new ranked mode "find an opponent equal to your skill and not in your rank" just to manipulate a custom skinner box for each player, so they can spend more time playing, not necessarily having fun (no more casual players waiting until end of the month and rushing rank 5).
I always managed to save 8-9k gold between expansions, this expansion is the only one that i barely played, can't craft anything...
No freebie, i really wanted to know how many less players will join on this tavern now that there is no free ticket and how many will play it again and again dreaming with a better reward now that there are no freebie players there to give free wins...
I was so happy to read Archwitch Willow on the nerf list! Since i have a golden one, i would finally be able to make something! But then, it was a buff... well, i will continue just playing battlegrounds then, i guess... :/
All the changes seem fair. Gentle Megasaur being removed may not be "fair", because now i don't think we'll see any murloc comps out there, but it's so good to see that exodia comp being removed!!
Omg, i had to go to the official site to read it... fucking amazing!!! No more fucking murlocs exodia comp!! Damm is going to feel good to play BG next week!! So fucking happy!!
The only good thing about this nerf is that i'll be able to craft this priest legendary and play with the deck a little bit and still get my dust back after getting bored of it. Druid is the only decent deck i have at the moment, which is not going too well anymore and it's going to be even worse later. This has been the worse expansion for me since a very long time...
Yes, i always get between 8k-9k per rotation... they are saying 5k because this new system has a clear goal to lower players resources to force them to buy packs... f2p players already can barely play, with the amount of legendaries and epics that are "must have", but now in this new system it'll become a ordinary mobile cash-grab game.
Right now: 30 days of daily quests gives us something between 1500** and 1800 gold**, so 4 months the old system gives us something between 6000** and 7200** (i personally get something between 8k and 10k, which gives me a nice boost every expansion)
If it takes us 4 months to get the 100 levels (hoping that even casuals, that right now can only afford to finish dailies at once when there is 3 of them, can also get level 100), then the same period will gives us 57 times 70g = 3990g. Every beginning of expansion you will have half the packs to open. You'll also get 18 "latest expansion packs" and 14 "prior expansion packs" (i'm assuming that by "prior" they mean 1 expansion older than the latest, which has even less value).
With this new system f2p players will get even worse start of expansion and blizzard try to not look bad enough by pointing out that players can get what they miss through those 4 months. No, they can't. Even if we naively count 1 pack = 100g (not taking in consideration which expansion is it or when you're opening the packs), it's still 7200g, which is waaaaay below the amount of gold i personally reach every expansion. And then they throw 2 legendaries there and some arena tickets to make players feel awesome when they get to that level.
How activision keeps getting away with this? The competition gets harder and they keep making the game worse for F2P. They already raised the number of legendaries from 1 to each class to 3, making legendaries and epics way more useful and "must have" than it used to be and now they also want to cut our gold too? God dammit activision, god dammit...
**not counting possible 80-100g quests and those 10g of victories
As a control player, i absolutly hate this card. Let's see if the meta is not just face DH/hunter everywhere with no counters avaiable because they can trade their minions without losing them and also reduce the opponent's hand to only 4 cards.
My first instinct is to complain about Priest getting more of "it's mine now, get f***d!", but then again, 2 attack means the main target is aggro decks, so it's fine.
Because it's a DH card that looks like Hellfire (warlock) + Greater Emerald Spellstone (hunter) on drugs, but 2 mana cheaper, without a drawback and a lot easier to use it.

Oh boy... it's almost like Reno, but can be used 3 times.
I think a 7 mana mind control will find its place in the meta...
This battle pass could be the final kick for me to finally quit HS for sure.
and what about that Al'Akir making the parrot attack twice and probably survive... that will be fun!
So it's going to be shitty just like ranked, got it.

Pack tokens would be amazing! But no fucking way activision is going to make something that actually helps us...

Well, its effect won't trigger on the same turn it's summoned by Pit Commander, so that's something.
WTF is this? This card doesn't look ridiculous at all...
