Quest Shaman is fine, it's balanced. But I get tilted when the double giggling inventor comes out, then they bounce with a bog slosher and repeat. Without Mass Dispel there's nothing other than full board clears that can deal with it. Even if you have a full board you cant get through 4 divine shield taunts in a turn. Then 4 more come out. Possibly another 4 if they run 2 giggling inventors. Then the shudderwock comes out and there's another 4.
It's like the K+C cubelock meta, just boards upon boards of taunts.
It has a pretty good curve filling all stages of the game, has some good removal, good board presence, it ticks a lot of boxes and can switch gears between more control style and tempo depending on the match up.
On HSReplay currently secret hunter is only just behind it so if you don't have the cards you can still make an effective and similar non-highlander deck.
As RavenSunHS said though, by removing a few copies of secrets gives you two cards that win games by themselves and doesn't affect the consistency that much.
Saw the video before the list - looks like a great deck.
Idea suggestion - highlander ring the bells paladin otk. If you have 4 mana and the board is clear, then play zephyrs you get a high chance of finding sorcerers apprentice. Then use with a faceless manipulator and sound the bells (maybe with a charge minion) for infinite free sound the bells. wild pyro + equality can clear board with 4 mana remaining to find apprentice - new Finley highlander for defensive hero power, then just card draw and survival.
I feel like there are better options than goblin bomb and leper gnome - I'd be sad if i got those late game and they don't pressure early game. I love the deck but I reckon a Jar Dealer for value, a Murmy for stickiness , or a Springpaw because beast/2 rush minions/curve fill would be more effective.
Well for me the free legendary came when I logged in which hasn't happened for them - they checked their collection also and no new cards - they only have 1 legendary (Alexstraza, at least its a good one!) So it isn't due to a miss click, they just haven't been given them.
They've completed the tutorial - I cant think of any reason they haven't got the SOU free leg unless there's a rank you need to achieve and anything before that rank is unofficially classified as tutorial or summat.
A mate of mine is currently at level 25 and has had an account for a few months now. They havn't received the free SOU legendary quest or the SOU quest - this is meant to be given on login within the first 90 days of the expansion release.
Does anybody know if he needs to hit a level e.g. 20 before receiving this?
your 9 mana spells are such big plays that you often want to save them for king phaoris, but I've found that even hitting one big spell with Phaoris is enough for a fat swing. Just dont be greedy unless it's a proper value off - and even then they'll likely have a counter anyway.
It's actually one of the highest played winrate cards in the deck according to HSReplay also - not worth cutting quite yet.
FYI Armagedillo is a taunt so you cant hide it behind another taunt - he is a beast however. Possible to add Oondasta to pull big tempo late game with Amarni War Bear and Armagedillo - could also consider adding Witchwood Grizzley for further synergy
in total there's 4:5 stats in this card. reborn makes cloning it okay if clone decks ever becomes a thing. Also has some synergy with recurring villain.
Should be decent in some decks, hard to tell if it's competitive yet.
Because it's cheaper and you don't risk overdrawing that much, considering the fact that your deck doesn't run many 0-1 cost cards so you can't empty your hand easily.
I've thought about this - and that's a bad combo. Pay 6 mana and use 2 cards for a 1/1 draw three cards. gadgetzan auctioneer engine or classic druid card draws are better
Vs aggro the mill plan tends to go onto the back burner and becomes more of a refill for yourself, try to get value out of Bloodmage Thalanos and Azure drake with Fan of Knives when possible. Use cards like SI:7 Agent and Disciple of C'thun to pick off main threats. Don't get greedy with the main plan, play for survival and use coldlights to refill when you have a good counter to wide boards like vanish.
If it's zoolock then often they damage themself enough that an early c'thun can still close the game without being majorly buffed. With even shaman you can take out main threats to mitigate their damage (save shadowstrike for larger Jades where possible). Odd pally is unfavourable due to their consistent wide boards- I'm about 50-50 with a low sample size, I'm sure that figure would decrease for this deck with time - just play around their turn 5 and tempo as much as possible.
The main shell works well, but i never found a good oppertunity to use thoughtsteal or cloning device. If you're going for the res plan then it clogs your options. I'd suggest putting in a madam luzul or chameleos so you can choose what you steal without damaging your res pool. I'd also replace safeguard with another convincing infiltrator.

Its.
Just.
Anoying.
Annoy-o-Trons.
Haha, yeah we've all done things like this before. I would have conceded too xD

The Pyramid idea is fantastic, forcing people to play underused cards will find so many unknown combos.
I could give some of the under performing quests a chance to shine in a format!
Love that even the card back is infectious.
A nice sticky card for any big deck.
Not great if you're behind on board but can deplete the opponents resources to nil or pack a huge punch easily.

Just made this deck (before seeing this post) https://outof.cards/hearthstone/decks/4296-quest-villain
any thoughts?

Chunky stats if you get it off wandering monster, the drawback is likely too much.
Mages and rogues would slaughter any deck playing this.

Possibly for an aggro token paly. Could become snowball with a silver sword or glowstone tech buff as a mid-late game if you dont draw early.
Probably wont see much play though, other aggressive decks will trade early with and most control can just hero power turn 2.
Thanks for trying the deck!
