News about Mercs is all over the place right now and it's normal. I am curious to see how successful that mode is. My impression: Blizzard thinks that, revenue wise, HS has capped so it was time to launch something new that could have a decent margin of progression (revenue wise). I think there is a potential serous risk here because it will give a certain number of players the feeling that Hearthstone is now diluted in a bunch of modes. First conclusion players will hastily draw (pertinent or not) is that Blizz will make HS take a back seat a bit like Wild. If I am right, this will translate, over a not so long time, into a gradual reduction of active HS players (concurrent and simultaneous). How bad will this reduction be? It depends on the success of the Mercs, if too many players switch from HS to Mercs, that's bad for HS. Whether Mercs is a flop or success, I think Blizz cannot ignore one factor: I don't see the majority of players spending money on Hs ranked AND Mercs. So maybe Blizz thinks HS is done hence the launch of Mercs. I really hope I am wrong and that's it just bad speculation.
I get it Flush you want things to cool down and be less toxic. But to be honest. Players are expressing themselves about how they feel.
Sometimes if comes out in very aggressive way and the natural human reaction is blaming x,y,z. We know that so all the ranting you see right
now is not really about the Mercenaries (the game itself). It's not about the devs and who is responsible. I believe it's about the what HS is, was...it's
about a game they love and they see it taking a direction they do not like. Monetizing the game is ok but here it certainly crossed a line the players don't
like. It's about the direction the game is heading. You are going to tell me Blizz is looking at the hard cold data to make decisions. OK, but that's doesn't
mean the interpretation of the data is correct. Windstorm + the arrival of Mercenaries is telling the players that HS is taking a drastic turn and obviously
they don't like it. Time will tell if Blizz is right but right now I have never seem some many post disappointed players...that's a clear sign. How Blizz will
handle it is crucial. The last point of frustration I think the players have and I am sure Blizz thinks it's not the case. Perception: Players feel Blizz is
hearing them but they are not LISTENING. The perception is mostly based on the balance changes made.
They won't give any details before patch as they know we will, depending on what cards will be targeted, craft gold cards lol.
Not balancing the quest line if all the classes that can be achieved so fast? really? They should increase the final minion to 7 or 8 mana. I guess you are playing a quest line yourself, I bet on warlock..
I'm gonna try all the new decks and make changes to fit the meta and my style of play. it's a great way to know the new cards
Next expansion coming soon, as we know now that they don't thoroughly test the cards, so expect OP decks in the beginning and nerfs coming a few weeks after. That's why I will not craft anything, specially Legendary cards before the meta settles down. That could take a couple of weeks.
At what time will the patch go up?
The shop now says bundles available until 29 March 2021.
I have reached Legend last season with Pure silver hand Paladin 63% win rate. With the new expansion and core set there is a strong change that "dudes Pally " will be a very strong deck.
Absolutely thrilled with this core set. So many good cards coming back. Can't wait!!
what time is the patch going up?
Did you really read the damn post? There is no cap at 5k, actually there is no cap at all. It has been cleary said. Wow!!!
Here I put it again FFS!! "Ben mentions in a later comment to remind everyone that the 5000 gold is just his personal progression each expansion cycle and not a cap in the system."
For the skeptical: the new systems works fine I believe. The climb slows down a bit when you reach platinum 5. The MMR seems to work as intended and you don't have to grind your way up. 36 matches to get to Diamond 9 on day 2 is great (had 10 bonus stars to start with). Blizz also confirmed that if you stop one season you do not lose you MMR. Looks like hitting Legend will be easier than in the previous system.
Win streaks stop at diamond 5.
This is probably due to your MMR it also affects the bonus stars..
its rank 15
Reached rank 3 last season got 10 bonus stars. Played 18 matches to get to Platinum 10.
rank 5 is diamond 10 yeah
If it's magnetized how does it duplicate...buffed or original state? if it duplicates buffed...it's gonna be a really powerful card.
Nice 5/4 on turn 3 with coi
