    The author spent every cent that could be spent on this and STILL didn't get three mercs. That is a travesty. That is criminal. That is not fair play and we should be pissed. AND he got a repeat of a merc he spent real money on! Unforgivable! I call shenanigans. Blizzard's corporate goons have gone too far this time.  And they always prey on the most loyal and hopeful of us. We need to stop this vicious cycle.

    The incredible rarity of skins in packs is kryptonite for whales. Anyone who pre-ordered for this mode feels terrible right now. Like if you spent $100 you should have a ton of skins. I spent like $75 on it and after about 2/3 of the packs I got very very few mercenaries or skins and a bunch of shitty coins. It was very disheartening. I'm highly unlikely to spend any more money on this. It'll just be a bunch of garbage coins. I guess they already got me though. Nice one Blizzard. Got me good this time.

    There's one thing I hate about Mercenaries: the fact that I didn't pre-order diamond Diablo. I crave it sooo much now LOL. Sad but true.

    Seriously though, I basically have no chance to ever, ever, ever get that portrait...unless I spend literal mountains of money to keep opening packs. It's frustrating that the thing that is most motivating to play for is something you can't play for. You can only play for coins. 

    These retards haven't played WoW? What do you think maxed out players grind day in and day out for? Cosmetics!!! But we're supposed to grind for coins so that we be better at grinding for coins?

    They have no clue what they're doing when it comes to making a PVE mode sustainable. They need to make some changes in this regard STAT. No F-ing way I'm playing this mode long term when my only reward is boring ass coins. Complete joke.

    I am too. But it's a bit too bare bones for PVE. You play to get coins so you canget to the highest level missions so you can...get coins. They got too greedy with skins and there's nothing else besides skins and coins to work towards.

    There's a lot to criticize but bottom line I find it very addictive. I'm also a whale so I have a lot of options and I've been leveling different parties with various combos. I haven't even got to heroic yet so it's been mostly easy but I haven't minded. I can see though that they need to iterate on it quickly so that some aspects don't get stale. PvP is really interesting but so far imbalanced. Maybe that will iron out as the MMR algorithm has more time to work.

    The most disappointing thing is that you can't grind for skins. I have no way to work towards the skins I want. That's like not being able to grind for mounts I. Wow. I think it's a mistake. Skins are a reason to grind. Coins for leveling aren't. Skins would have been a concrete goal. 

    Facing the same rats in the Barrens every time will get tiresome soon. They need to give us more variety of enemies. As far as endgame difficulty I can't judge yet. But what are we working towards when we get there? More coins? Again skins would have been something. If your gonna make a PvE mode that people are throwing money at then give us goals.

    The mode is not finished. I consider it a beta. But a very good beta. Hopefully they do too and will add more features quickly.

    I'm also sad that there's really no RPG element. I how they add some of that kind of stuff. There's a lot of potential. The basic gameplay is addictive and satisfying for me. Hopefully it will grow and this is just the beginning. 

    But FFS let us grind for worthwhile endgame rewards! Skins and or something.

    There are some frost and shadow synergies that Lich King can be worked into. With Varden, Voljin, Tamsen. Maybe more. But no tribal synergies.

    There's also the question of synergies. Maybe there are more demons that buff demons than humans that buff humans. 

    Also Diablo's AOE might scale well due to the added damage being applied to all three enemies.

    Apocalypse... The more I think about it the more it seems really key. The double damage from crits is probably more than most abilites can provide. So this might be one of the best damage options for focusing one guy down.

    So he's got an AOE that can take down a guy that's one shot while still damaging others and he's got a premium focus fire ability.

    Which one do you think is better? I need to make a decision pronto. I have an idea of how the mode works from Trump's videos. (Gameplay looks amazing BTW though I'm bummed that there doesn't seem to be any RPG aspect to it.)

    The Lich King looks better to me...maybe? His Frost Shield seems amazing. Taunt and freeze. Whoever hits him has to skip a round (of attacking). That could be their whole team! But you have to wait till turn 3 to use it. Death Coil has great flexibility: damage or heal. Frostbite makes an ability permanently slower (though its speed is 9).

    Diablo's abilities are faster on average (all 6 speed which is cute) but maybe weaker? Apocalypse could be really, really good but hard to tell right now. Taking critical damage from all types could add up to a lot. Doom Charge also slows enemy abilities but only for one round, but it's 3 faster than Frostbite. Fire Stomp is AOE so kinda strong, especially against slow enemies since it will repeat for each enemy that hasn't acted. Only 2 damage though.

    As for treasures Frostmourne looks very, very good. Looks better than anything Diablo has.

    Art-wise....the diamond ones are both great but Diablo's is a bit better. And his two other skins are much better than Lich King's.

    I don't know. It's hard to decide not having played the game before. What do you guys think?

    Some sweet memeage though. If this generated a card and transformed an opponent's card it would super OP. Since it transforms one of your own cards it feels a bit bad giving it a slot.

    I'd love to have the Monk class added. Hopefully he will have core cards that change/affect his hero power. That fits great with the martial arts theme and changing stances or using different fighting styles. Also hopefully he will be kind of opposite of DH. Control oriented. Kind of a more punchy Priest.

    Yeah Priest is nice right now. Good matchups. Few enough of the bad to weather it. And the Warlock matchup is so incredibly bad that you can just concede and not waste time on it.

    Wonder if they're trying to reign in power creep with this expansion. I hope so actually. It has to be done at some point. When classic is rotating as well is the perfect time.
