Supergiant games never disappoint (well, Pyre was pretty weird but still an experience) - I'm excited to get back into it!

I have played everything that SuperGiant  Games made and their work is so good - tight gameplay, original stories, haunting soundtracks... it was great to see them get solid recognition with Hades.  I'll be happy to get on that pre-order train for Hades II.

Anyone looking for more, I think their game Transistor holds up really well - a lot of what made Hades great was laid out there.

I played quite a lot of Atlus' Ogre Battle on SNES back in the day, and also VanillaWare's Odin Sphere years later.  I can totally get those games experiences not being for everyone but they had a well thought out and interesting style of their own that I appreciated so I think I have to check this one out sometime - thanks for the review!

Yeah, after losing like 10 games in a row to DH, I switched to the dark side until someone else's deck could show me the counter or the nerfs would arrive... guess nerfs will come first.

Man, that handbuff windfury paladin before and turn 3 or 4 window shoppers now... crazy stuff.

Ah man, I play so much Duels.  Finally hitting that spell heavy run with the orb making things cheap feels so satisfying.  Back in the day, I had a broken DH run with Double Time and a bag of coins that did 40 damage by turn 2 - first 12 and 0 run I ever had.

Not sure where Blizz will put the resources but Duels did become a hassle on the backend as they kept adding in every set for some evil combinations. Oh well, guess I will never get that 12 win Diablo run…

Nice.  I appreciate the team they got working on BGs as they always seem to do just enough to keep things fresh.  Aside from locking 4 heroes behind a paywall, I like what they’ve been doing.  Good to see some new quests in the mix.  My guess is that Doppleganger’s Locket is too good since that is a Bigglesworth power every single turn, something the hero doesn’t even get to do

I really enjoy the strategy and choices in a good control game, and Titans seem like a nice fit for "control" playstyle.  Sargeras just happens to be the most control/infinite value Titan there is.  I didn't know Reddit was doing a raid on him for votes, but I won't complain about some extra packs :)

Actually enjoyed the brawl this year with Palm Reading

It can usually find silence for pogos or value answers for just about everything else.

I had a really bad experience with the first few heroic brawls so I totally appreciate people being shy of it.  I think it is nice that there is some kind of high stakes event every once in a while for the big spenders.  And it is a little funny that we all got so used to free pack normal brawls that any disruption feels like a slight.  I think offering up a bonus on this brawl is a positive step, even if the slot machine is a better gamble

I suppose the “fair” Theotar would be each player gets a COPY of the selected cards rather than the original.  You would still get the hand information for playing it and have control over how bad a card you give them from your hand, but it wouldn’t break any combos (except niche overdraw) and would work fine at 4 mana.  But maybe that wouldn’t be exciting enough for a legendary..

Yeah I think independent quests is huge. You don’t have to be forced into a poor synergy team just to hit all the quests at once and could now consider taking on new heroics instead of always grinding those easy ones.  Makes me a lot more interested in the game mode

Speaking of bugs, anyone see how bad Dew Process is.  Fatigue your opponent in no time

As I figured, brittle bones is crazy strong.  Pretty much the only things I could lose to were other brittle bones decks or a boars build that got it on turn 4.

It will be good to tune down its appearance rate but it probably needs a limit like the first instance your spells kill an enemy minion, summon spooky skeletons..

I think Darius looks good enough to mess around with so glad to see it added.
Volatile skeletons could be nuts in standard and a mage picking up that tier 2 could be an easy 12-win run.
Honestly I’m not worried about the Ring of Haste.  If you were drafting the kind of deck to really scam that treasure, you are probably getting rocked in those early games.  I get that it could be super unfun to play against but ultra-rare from the start means there is very little chance of it meeting the right draft

Dopplegangsters were so poorly done, it seemed emblematic of how Mercenaries was not a properly supported game mode.  I appreciate small balance updates as that data comes out over time but it seems crazy that this common encounter ran rampant for so long.

Better late than never, I guess!

I just had a Vanndar run half before and half after the patch.  With Inspiring Presence and Scepter of Summoning, pretty easy 12 and 2 run (losses were early).

The nerf meant my drops came down one turn later, but by turn 6 or 7, I only had like 2 minions that needed cost reduction anyway.

Still seems like too good a strat and I might not play duels for a bit unless I can continue to farm wins with Vanndar picks.   I love the variety of duels, but losing to such a dominant strat always feels bad

Just finished my first 12-win run in a while with a solid deathrattle druid (crystal gem, mummy magic).  On my way to the top?  Played against 5 hunters with totem of the dead and 2 mages with battle totem.  I don't think "ultra-rare" has actually been applied yet.  Imagine if after Oops All Spells went ultra rare and you saw 5 priests in a row with that passive...
