I’m gonna comment quickly on the finalists. I won’t say how I rated them, but there are a few I’m a bit critical of.

Mark of Dalaran - A very powerful passive that would likely be offered late in a run. It might break some spell treasures. Not much else to say. Very fun and powerful.

    Amalgamate - My card.

Temple Golem - This feels extremely strong late in a run. 5 mana make a sticky board. Great synergy with Rush, Taunt, and other minion buff passives. I feel like this should cost more.

Answer the Call - I like this one because it provides a number of cool effects and good minions but it’s not an instant game win. This could probably be slightly cheaper. Very fun and flavorful card.

Archthievery - No. Please no. It’s a fun idea for one time, but this ruins deckbuilding and will lose you runs. And it would take up slots from actual good treasures.

Nicky, the Retriever - I started off not liking this card, but honestly I think it’s fine. Fun effect but not super strong.

The Last Lantern - This is a last resort card, and summoning a 20/20 with no other effects will not save you games. Good flavor but this will be a dead card most games.

Rodney the Mischievous - For the same reason as Archthievery, this ruins deckbuilding. The RNG might get you better treasures when you need it, but it’s just as likely to screw you over. RNG can be fun (that’s what the dungeons are made of!) but this isn’t

Alright, I dropped my Mech idea because it was just a big minion. Here are my other 2 ideas:

Amalgamate - Pretty simple idea. This makes deckbuilding and choosing minions much more interesting. However I’m not sure this is real original.

Cursed Sarcophagus - This is a more complex idea. As your deck gets more bloated, you can use this to clear out a bunch of unwanted cards from your deck. It also works very well with card generation (since they don’t start in your deck) and against the last boss (since your deck goes away whether you win or lose)

How are people posting images? Are they hosting somewhere other than imgur?

I’ve got two ideas so far but not sure how I can post them here on mobile. Imgur sucks.

    Anyway, the ideas are:

    1. Amalgamate - Witchwood Passive

Passive. Your minions this run have all minion types.

     - predictable, fun, but kinda boring design

    2. V-07-TR-0N MK. II - Dalaran Legendary

    (5) 2/2 Mech

Battlecry: Discover 3 Magnetic Mechs (from any class) and attach them to this minion.

     - imo, more interesting than the first idea but it’s subject to higher RNG

    - there’s a bunch of variants to this idea too, my favorite being to discover a mech for each boss you’ve beaten

We all try to justify new mechanics of twisting existing ones when we create new cards. But remember how Hearthstone is intended to be: simple. Easy to understand. Quick to pick up. Most cards and effects are self explanatory.

Now look at the dragon. Big taunt, reborn, every time it dies you get a silenced copy of it in your hand. That silenced copy can, with other effects, become a normal copy. Is there any card in the game now that’s anywhere near this convoluted?

    How about this:

    2. That's not exactly the same. If bounce back and replay or resurrect the copy from hand, it'd have the text.

Minions can't remain silenced while in hand. If you use Spellbreaker on a Bone Drake and Sap it, the card will still have the deathrattle. Under the current mechanics of the game, your card wouldn't work the way you intend it to.

We also didn't use to have minions with buff in the hand, yet here we are

We all try to justify adding new mechanics or twist existing ones when we design new cards. If you can pull it off, great. But creating silenced copies of your taunt dragon in your hand isn’t a neat effect. It’s overly complicated, messy, and causes many weird theoretical plays with bouncing and other effects. Are there any single cards in game now that are this convoluted? Would the game benefit from such an addition

Imo, scrap the silenced hand copy. It’s too complicated on an already very wordy card that’s probably OP.

In life, he was raised by Crystalsmith Kangor, who taught him the concepts of infinity and endlessness.

First idea, what do you think? If anyone is still in need of assistance, let me know.

This card frightens me. Now I haven’t played HS much lately so maybe I’m out of practice with balance, but this card looks insane. 6 Mana 4/7 Taunt Reborn is good. But it also generates 2 tokens, each of which can be bounced to generate more of the original card. It’s an expensive card but it can grind a game to a halt with just a few triggers or bounces

Cool class, though I’d caution against buffing the expensive Invokes too much, as that might make your class too good at end game.

I’m hoping this new series will mean that competitions are around the corner.

This is an ez and fun one because there are a lot of ways to build a deck. Shaman and Hunters probably have the biggest advantage. Expect lots of agro decks

MTGA is a much better game. New players can get 15 decks after completing the new experience which has a ton of good cards. Cheap decks can win you games and easily complete quests. Draft is a ton of fun and is a great way to build a collection and play without worrying about your opponent’s using their full rare and mythic deck. Until the end of August there are weekly events that give good xp and easy wins with even a bad deck. And finally, rotation is happening in late Sept / early Oct so you don’t need to invest in old cards.

Like any CCG there are tons and tons of cards, many of which aren’t great. And Hearthstone does have a *slightly* better method of dusting cards for new cards. But MTGA improves upon that by throwing cards and packs at you so you can quickly build a collection.

Give it a try and see if you like it. Hearthstone and MTGA can both be fun games, but I’m getting more out of MTGA atm

The set looks cool so far! I had a similar idea for a Legion expansion, with each class getting a Legion-allied Legendary. Keep it up

Every expansion one class gets fewer initial reveals and yet someone always complains that their class is being ignored

I love this card. Dilutes the ress pool, transforms minions into ones with lower health. Turn useless Totems into bodies. Arguably better than Devolve in wild against Big decks. Amazing card
