I've played for 3 hours of Battlegrounds with tracking gained experience. I can state that the cap for Battlegrounds is 300 EXP per hour. My maximum was 280, but I think if you win more than me, you should get 300. So, it's 25% lower than what was stated for one hour of ranked play.
120 days * 300 exp/hour = 36,000 exp On devs math, that is 12,000 less (or 25% in percents) than in calculations. So it's even less gold at the end of the season...
Also, I've played ranked for two hours yesterday, without tracking the exp that much, but I didn't get even close to those 400 exp/hour, for me, it was like 250 exp/hour.
