I'll get that Hearthstone back, what I hopelessly loved. Which was simple, but great, and when random factors where at pretty healthy levels.

In your example, because there wasn't any enemy units, so Final Spark didn't have a valid target. 'Enemy' word itself doesn't contain the Nexus.
And as he told, it's dangerous to take the 2 damage, and go to 6 Health against EZ Draven.
You crossed the line, don't expect mercy. :)
