What do you guys think of these? Had some other ideas for these concepts too. Considered making Sleeping Beauty somehow use the asleep state, but there is only one card that currently refrences a minion being asleep. Also considered making Generous Bribe increase the cost of the discovered card for your opponent, but that felt really niche.
hey Linkblade, you play quest taunt warrior in wild right? Where does the deck usually fall apart? What does the deck need?
As for what the deck needs....I legitimately have no idea. More armor-gain would always be appreciated, but that doesn't necessarily save you from Wild's heavy hitters. I'll have to think about it some more and come back to you.
Warrior could use some big armor cards. The new Prime card is actually one of the best armor gain cards they've released for warrior. It'd be nice to see some stuff comparable to druid armor gain like Ferocious Howl, Branching Paths, Oaken Summons. As it stands, druid's can withstand quest mage because of the armor gain, and they can (sometimes) withstand Darkest Hour because of Poison Seeds being a very cheap board clear.
My other thought was some boardfill/ressurection mechanic. Some way to refill a board quickly by spending 9 or 10 mana. Its a shame that Warrior just doesn't get the tools for competitive control decks in wild.
hey Linkblade, you play quest taunt warrior in wild right? Where does the deck usually fall apart? What does the deck need?
I mostly play wild, and I'm just having a hard time imagining what would make the deck good against things like Time Warp Mage and Darkest Hour Warlock. It needs something substantial, something probably more powerful than the quest card itself. I'm not sure taunt minions are actually the problem, there's lots of decent low mana choices, you can complete the quest in a reasonable time.
What form does the ideal quest warrior deck take? It probably isn't aggro, pirate warrior and galakrond warrior are fine without the quest. Control decks like Odd Warrior and Dead Mans Hand warrior are just kind of irrelevant right now, since Darkest Hour and Time Warp will destroy them easy. There is OTK potential with the quest reward and stuff like Clockwork Horror. Is that the direction you think the deck should take?
Against the Wall is a cool card, but maybe too gruesome a card name? The phrase typically refers to police or soldiers lining people up against a wall, for inspection or possibly execution.
Ugh, okay, this is really frustrating. In the description text, I used the card tag on Frostmourne, but as you see, it defaults to the adventure version, not the token generated by the Lich King or Arfus. Now my entry is wrong. Frustrating!
Hopefully the Hero Card text makes it clear which version I actually meant. If a mod can edit my entries description to display the actual frostmourne card, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Well, one of the tokens is just the Frostmourne weapon, that's typically generated by the Lich King and Arfus. I'll just include the Hero Power token then and put a hover over for Frostmourne in the description.
You should probably reconsider the token allowances. Lots of flashy legendaries involve more than 1 token, like quests, hero cards, even some spells and minions.
Hey, I'm trying to submit a hero card with a weapon and a hero power. I can't seem to add more than 1 extra card? Should I combine the Hero Power and Weapon tokens into the same image or something?
I guessed we'd have a Demon Hunter comp, but it's a pretty hard thing to judge. None of us have played demon hunter yet, none of us really know what works well. BUT, the idea of making a demon hunter card for an old set is a helpful framing device. Not surprised to see Deathknight hero cards, quests and other big flashy mechanics from old sets.
Thought I'd give this thread a bump. The set was never finished, but I think it's neat how many of my cards reflect cards releasing in Ashes of Outland. A lot of the same characters, especially Illidan, obviously.
Probably won't finish this now, as it'd require major reworking of a couple classes. Just neat to see my head was in a similar spot to blizzard.
Oh man, missed the finalist voting phase, got too busy. Cool to see I made the finalists again with my fortune telling card, but glad I didn't win. the other cards were better and while I like the flavor of my card, I'm not sure it'd be fun to play with.
I think the surest nerf reversion is Dr Boom Mad Genius back to 7 mana. At 9 mana it's just an unplayable dead turn. At 7 mana, you could play it alongside stuff like Reckless Fury, Execute or cheap mechs that would immediately gain rush. Even just getting to use a hero power is a big deal! Odd Warrior would love to put this back into it's gameplan
Any thoughts on this? Is it even useful? I like the idea of copying the hero, getting to play with heros you might not have. It'd also change how thief rogue synergy stuff works. Something like Vendetta would now trigger it's own discount. Your discover effects would also change to your opponent's class.
Should I change it to 'Copy your opponent's class, Hero and Hero Power'? Or is that redundant?
Would probably be best to put it on a minion so it isn't a completely dead card in mirror matches. Besides that, I love the idea
Good point. I went with a spell because I wanted the flavor of your hero putting on a mask, not a minion. I'll take your criticism though, maybe there is some way I can make this spell useful in the mirror, with another effect of some kind. Maybe by making it 0 mana, it'd be an easy Auctioneer trigger? The effect is incredibly weak as it is (compare to renounce darkness and the card discount, which is another thing i considered)

I don't know, any card that can generate infinite face damage could be abused. There would need to be a bigger punishment to playing it than just replacing one of your cards.
When's the last time you saw anyone playing Headcrack? I still forget that it has new art on the rare occassion that it gets randomly generated. This card is definitely better than head crack, but the concept of 'infinite face damage card' isn't necessarily broken. It just needs the right numbers.

Trade only?: Yes, you first.

On the timid tortoise, I think a more believable text would be "Has Taunt while undamaged". Unfortunately, that wouldn't activate the warrior quest.
Against the Wall is a cool card, but maybe too gruesome a card name? The phrase typically refers to police or soldiers lining people up against a wall, for inspection or possibly execution.
next: a new lorewalker cho card. Could be a minion, hero, spell, weapon, whatever you think is best. The art fits the spell card frame well.
thanks, I will check the id numbers in the future, thanks for the tip!

Cool competition! I like the winner, gave it a high score. Congratz Demonxz!
