We've had some time for the dust to settle from the last patch, but did it really change the meta that much? Honestly, not a whole lot. There are still plenty of other popular decks to try in the meantime. I also wanted to take a look at some of the most popular cards being played right now since Mobalytics recently introduced their meta stats data.
We're also holding a small giveaway to celebrate our site's birthday - more details on that below.
Most Popular Champion Combinations
Here are some winning combinations. Do you have favorite pair of Champions to build around? Let us know in the comments section!
Most Popular Cards
It's not a surprise to see removal and disruption at the top of the list because they can fit into nearly every deck. What's your favorite non-Champion card?
Most Popular Decks
If you like Control decks, this should be right up your alley. It's got tons of removal, endless value with Heimerdinger, and heavy hits with Vi!
Sea Monsters have been a huge (literally) favorite since Rising Tides launched. Who doesn't like slamming 50 points of damage into their opponent in one round or milling their entire deck?
Vladimir has been showing up in more decks since he was buffed last patch. Now it seems he has become buddies with Sejuani and they are wreaking havoc on Runeterra!
Out of Cards Birthday Celebration Giveaway
In addition to the Twitter giveaway that we're holding right now, we're doing one right here too!
To enter, we want to know what your favourite champion in Legends of Runeterra is and we want to know which deck you're using them in. To enter:
- Add your deck to the site via our deckbuilder. Give it a descriptive name!*
- Tell us down below in the comments here what your favourite champion is and then show us the deck you uploaded. Tell us your favourite part of the deck. (Link to it by using the deck's BBCode found on the deck's page)
If your favourite champion is in a deck already on the site that you're playing, you may link to that deck instead of creating a new one.
Prizes? Wouldn't be a giveaway without them!
- 1 lucky winner will receive $25 USD worth of Riot Coins. (Payable through PayPal if outside of North America)
- 3 runner-up prizes are available - 30-day Out of Cards Premium memberships!
This giveaway ends on June 8. We'll contact you by private message if you win and your name will be included in a future giveaway winner announcement article.
Stay up to date on all the birthday fun in our dedicated Birthday 2020 Hub.

Was about to open a thread about how much fun I am having with this TF/Fizz deck:
I feel this deck is the most fun I ever had in card games, it seem to have no tools to deal with anything but it does do work.. cause it draws so much!
you never feel out of steam and TF is my favorite runeterra champion! I barely ever play him in league (I played Fizz waaay more (level 6 btw)) but tf is so much fun to play.
the reason this deck runs 2 fizzes is cause I don't have the third it's probably better to have a third.
I just started playing recently, and (other than tweaking the starter decks a bit) the first deck I crafted was the Midrange Bannerman.
At the moment, Fiora is my favorite champion. For me, at least, she demonstrated just what Runeterra is about and how different it is from Hearthstone.
The first time I saw Fiora, I thought she was ridiculously OP. Then I saw all the support cards that could help her along, and I thought she was even more OP. But the reality is that with all the back-and-forth play that LoR offers, and all the chances to respond to your opponent, she’s actually very fair. Games with (or against) her are interesting and play out very differently than my Hearthstone experiences led me to expect. I’d definitely use a Fiora deck if I were demonstrating the game to someone who doesn’t play yet.
This is my favorite deck that made me rank up so much, my favotire champion is swain, i love how he can stun the most annoying champion. i love how aggro this deck is, just mainly focusing on hittin on enemy nexus, making them use their powerful spells and cards in early game. Easy gg and high winrate.
I know he's not the best champion, but I just can't get enough Maokai. The deck attack, the saplings, the fact they have ephemeral and challenger tags--he just has so many facets! Here's a mill deck: level up Maokai, then use Pilfered Goods to draw their final 4 cards:
I really like Vi, it just sucks that most, if not all decks that play her don't have leveling her up as the main focus, so I tried making a deck that tries to control the game until Vi can come out and wreck stuff. And, it turns out that Lee Sin spell package works really well with it. It's not the best deck ever but I've been having a lot of fun with it and flipping Vi is pretty easy.
My favorite champions is Nautilus ... together with Maokai he creates very fun decks !
My favorite deck includes Vi who is almost always a 2 for 1 or better. I like the deck because it brings me back to mtg control decks where you remove all the threats and then play your win conditions to finish the game. Hitting 5 spells with Corina also feels really good.
I don't have a favourite Champion, really, but this is one of my favourite decks I've played so far.
I haven't updated it since the new expansion, but I'm not sure how many new cards I'd want in the deck either. Maybe I should think about including Unyielding Spirit somewhere somehow...
I am trying to build most of my decks around Zed, mostly Demacia/Ionia decks. This is my ladder deck right now:

Vi, because I like her style and swag. I use her Purrsuit of PerfectionsBADCARDNAME meme deck. I lose a lot, but it is fun to see how far I can go to complete it. So far, 15 is my highest I went.
My favorite champion is simply Twisted Fate,BADCARDNAME because his level up animation is just really stylish. Like really really stylish. I made this deck because it's a really funny deck that uses one of Twisted Fate's Yellow Card which doesn't happen very often unless it's for very specific situations. Now with this deck, Yellow Card becomes a viable choice sometimes. It is a surprisingly viable deck but sadly loses literally every single mirror against normal Yasuo control decks.

Defintely Zed, his desing is true to his character in LoL encouraging offensive and clever playstyle. I love it even if i am not a Zed player in LoL.
I use it with the elusive pack, it may be not a competitive deck to rank up but is a lot of fun.
Yasuo's been one my favorite champions since the start of Beta. Just him dashing across the board to slice and dice opponents is cool enough for me. However, I understand that he's not the greatest champ in the meta right now. Still that doesn't stop me from trying out fun and stunning combos with his supporting cards.
When everything falls into place, it's very satisfying to either chip away at your opponents resources slowly or have a big swing turn with an Intimidating Roar.
I've been following the site for a while, having moved to it from HearthPwn, but I've only recently registered for an account. First comment.
Anywho, LoR is definitely beginning to steal the limelight from HS with me. I'm having the most success with this deck:
There's something really fun about running low on cards to start bringing out the big guns. And I love the satisfaction of having one of Maokai's saplings rip apart the opponent's deck.
Nautilus is definitely one of my favorite champions, but I've recently acquired my third copy of Sejuani and am very interested in finding a deck to use her in.
I do like to try different things, but frankly, I'm not as good at building a deck as I am at piloting one someone else has built; that's why I love the site!
Welcome to the club, EpicPickle! Glad to see more people putting an end to the lurking =D
My favourite champion is Anivia, who I run in my
Im so bad at this game >.<
My (current) favorite champion in Runeterra is Ashe, because I love controlling the board with Frostbite. I've been using MegaM0gwai's deck from almost four months ago, and I haven't made any changes to it so...yeah. It's still working for me ^_^ I would say that the Rimefang Wolf is my favorite non-champion card in the deck: pulling Frostbitten enemies to their death is always satisfying, and has led to a couple different concedes.
I must give this one a try.
My favorite champion is twisted fate because of his interactive ability in a lot of matches
my favorite part of the deck is the barrels synergi whit Swain
