Communications Lead for Legends of Runeterra, Dillon Buckner (aka A Small Man), just confirmed that we will see an extra Vault that opens tomorrow (July 9) rather than a full nine days, like originally stated in the patch notes.
Quote From Dillon Buckner Hey folks, update regarding the Vault move to Thursdays with this patch—this week we'll actually have a short two-day vault that unlocks this Thursday to make the transition, then continue with 7-day vaults normally after Thursday. Sorry for the confusion!

Damnit I didn't play yesterday :(
same :(
What? Oh, there's a reason behind the move? It was the only thing I expected every tuesday, the tuesday is like a spare day in the week, it was great to have something cool.
It made problems with patchs, so they didn't change the patch timing (which is good at mid week) instead they changed the vaults.
my xatch was right :)
Glad I checked Out-of-Cards before I went to bed: I was sitting at level 4, so I played two Labs and a couple AI games to walk away with that free champion card :D
Ditto. Thanks, Neon!
Update: got my first Fiora--woot!
I got my first Karma. I don't want her, but all well: "free" is free, right? I would have preferred a Quinn or a Miss Fortune, so I could work toward that deck.
I just started playing the game a few days ago - what's in there anyway?
Vault level 1 is automatic. Levels 2-6 each require 1000 XP, 7-10 require 2000 XP, and 11-13 require 4000 XP. After that, every 4500 XP earns you a capsule (5 cards, but not shards). If you get 25 of those extra capsules in a week, you’re a bot and the rewards stop.
The sweet spot is level 10. It upgrades your random champion (earned at level 5) to a champion wildcard, and it only requires 13,000 XP in 7 days. If you win a game or two a day and complete your quests, you’ll get there. To go beyond level 10, the XP thresholds get higher, the new bonuses are less important, and your easy sources of XP have already been used up. (That’s not to say you shouldn’t do it, but at that point you’re playing because you love the game, not because you’re focused on rewards :)
It really is amazing how much you get, especially with the wildcards. I get to Vault level 10 or 11 every week. After 4 or 5 weeks, I was able to copy a top tier deck without any worries about having enough resources. 3 weeks later, I could do it again. In contrast, I spent months playing Hearthstone, AND buying expensive preorders, before I could move beyond extreme budget decks.
The Vault contains three chests, with contents that can be improved by gaining experience/levels. Each chest has a selection of cards, and an increasing amount of shards. In addition to the chests, you also gain an Expedition token at level 2, and a random champion card at level 5 (which can be upgraded to a champion Wildcard at level 10).
If possible, I would recommend you race to level 5 at the minimum before tomorrow, to get a free champion.
I guess I'd gotten up to 10, I received one of those Champion wildcards - I'm finding the game pretty fun so far, shielding myself from knowing anything about the meta or even doing any research on the individual cards, just playing and exploring it. It's got just enough to differentiate it from Hearthstone and Magic to work, and right now is taking up the slack for Hearthstone, which has reached a point where i'm having trouble finding the fun.
I'm glad that I managed to get level 11.
Does it come with elusive burn nerf?
What? I assumed that it was a visual bug because they had mentioned so many times that we’d get an extra two days. It’s obviously not what they intended, so it’s weird that they aren’t going to fix it.
I look at it as a bonus, really.
An extra Vault is worth more than a Vault that's a level or two higher, right?
Yeah actually you’re right. It just feels psychologically worse because now I feel like I have to grind more, and if it took 9 days I wouldn’t have to grind at all. At this point I don’t need cards anymore but for some reason my brain really doesn’t like missing out on rewards.
Well, that's interesting.
I've never had a Vault below Level 10; curious what we get from it.
