December’s First Wave of Game Pass Games Is Here – 12 Titles Added to the Service

It’s the first day of December, so Microsoft has decided not to waste any time and give us the list of titles coming to Game Pass in the first half of the month. We have a nice variety, with games from all sorts of genres and scopes. Let’s get into it!

Battlefield 2042

The latest and gre- uhm… The latest title in the Battlefield series joins EA Play, making it available to Game Pass Ultimate subscribers as well. Delve into a futuristic battlefield (heh!) and fight along your squad using a cutting-edge arsenal.

Avalilable now for PC, Console and Cloud for Ultimate subscribers.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season

Last month we got the two spin-off games for Telltale’s The Walking Dead series, and now we’re getting the aptly titled The Final Season. This one concludes Clementine’s story and wraps up the other two seasons, already on the service.

Available today on PC, Console and Cloud.

Explore a beautifully hand-drawn world where the human population is declining fast. Witness a society on the brink of collapse with a John and Sam, a father-daughter pairing in everything but blood, as they journey into the unknown.

Available today on PC, Console, and Cloud.

Totally Reliable Delivery Service

A game about a delivery service that’s totally reliable. Yep. No physics-based shenanigans or unwieldy vehicles that wouldn’t pass a safety test driven by people who clearly aren’t qualified for the job. No siree!

Available today on PC.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

Lego games have a charm all their own. You get to explore various established stories, all told whimsically with Lego figures in a way that doesn’t take itself seriously. The Skywalker Saga does that with 9 Star Wars movies, and offers a new gameplay formula that’s more action-focused than previous Lego games.

Available for PC, Console and Cloud on December 6th.

Hello Neighbor 2

Can you trust your neighbor? Not with that sweater, you can’t. Hello Neighbor 2 is a survival horror game where you go up against an AI-controlled character that learns from both you and the other players. Can you find out what your neighbor is up to before they become too smart?

Available for PC, Console and Cloud on December 6th as a day one title.

Chained Echoes

An action RPG reminiscent of Chrono Trigger with modern pixel-art and a steam-punk Gundam suit for each party member. Save the three kingdoms of Valandis from a weapon of mass destruction, as well as the war with each other that threatens to undo them all.

Available for PC, Console and Cloud on December 8th as a day one title.

Metal: Hellsinger

While playing the Doom games, have you ever bobbed your head in rhythm to the music? Well, that’s part of the gameplay in Metal: Hellsinger, a shooter that asks you to synchronize your gunshots with the music in order to finish off the demons trying to kill you.

If this sounds familiar, it’s because the game was added to Game Pass in September, but it’s not coming to last-gen hardware. This is a good sign for those who haven’t made the jump to the Series series of consoles, as it means there’s a chance games that are initially only current-gen may come to last-gen consoles at a later date.

Available for Xbox One consoles on December 8th.

High on Life

Do you like Rick and Morty? Did you wish for a crazy sci-fi shooter with all sorts of weird alien life and crass humor where Justin Roiland makes quips non-stop? No? Well, you better hope there’s a mute button for the gun, then.

Available for PC, Console and Cloud on December 13th as a day one title.

Potion Craft

Manage your own potion shop as an alchemist trying to make an honest living selling various elixirs to adventurers. You can experiment to create all sorts of concoctions, which you can then either sell at a fair price or haggle with your customers for a better deal.

Available for PC and Console on December 13th.

Hot Wheels Unleashed – Game of the Year Edition

Take your favorite licensed toy car and zoom on one of various Hot Wheels race-tracks, or make your own in the track editor. The GOTY edition contains 3 volumes of DLC vehicles, including some for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, some Street Fighter characters, and various DC superheroes.

Available for PC, Console and Cloud on December 15th. Update: The official blog has been updated to notify players that the game will not be coming on December 15th, and will instead arrive at a later date.

Rainbow Billy: The Curse of the Leviathan

Join the titular Rainbow Billy as he attempts to bring back the color that was stolen from the world by the Leviathan. Journey across a world that blends 3D models with hand-drawn sprites, as you help Billy solve puzzles and make friends in turn-based combat.

Available for PC, Console and Cloud on December 15th.

  • Need for Speed Unbound – PC Game Pass and Ultimate subscribers can now try NFS Unbound for 10 hours via EA Play.
  • Conan Exisles – Chapter 2 of the survival multiplayer game adds new content and features, expanding the game.
