Going by the natural flow of things, every other Master Duel update comes with a new Solo Gate. For this occasion, the "retro" archetype of Mermails rise from the depths, as their first appearance in the TCG dates back to almost a decade now. Don't let that be an indication of any lack of power though, as this troupe of Aqua, Fish, and Sea-Serpent Monsters was one of the first examples for an efficient and rounded archetype that has a clear playstyle in mind.
