Death's Shadow (-> Shadow Reflection), Shadow of Death, and now Shadow of Demise. All rogue 'cards' that copy other cards, accounting for the shadow part of their name. I still haven't worked out the thematic link they have with death, though I must be missing something as it's impressively consistent.
Anyway, the flashiest use I can think of for this currently is as a 3rd Contraband Stash, but really this is one of those cards that is just good anywhere, even if it only copies something mundane.
Not sure that making Rogue decks have a 29 card maximum was great for Hearthstone, but okay.
Honestly, given how much gets discovered and generated, the difference may be negligible.
But it says something when a card like this is announced and you ask yourself what can you do that you couldn't before in a best-case scenario and the answer is . . . mostly the same stuff.
This is going to be a fun card to copy and/or steal, though, so maybe that's the upside, fun-wise.
Prep, this, Coin, Concede.
Does this stay in your hand forever?
Either way it's an insane card. 5 stars for sure.
My understanding is that Shadow of Demise works like Queen Azshara's Ring of Tides (except for the 1mana part, obviously).
Seems like there's a bit of a theme of calling back to the Death Knight Hero cards, with Scourge Tamer and now this. Probably an auto-include for most Rogue decks, since you can cut your weakest card for a third copy of any good spell.
Almost a Valeera the Hollow Hero power, we know the concosomething spells, could be very powerful
Concoctions, as in the Duels Rogue Hero Power
