Players expecting to snap up the newest card to be added to MARVEL SNAP's Series 5 were disappointed to find, last night, that the Big Bad was not showing up in the Weekly Spotlight Shop as everyone had expected he would. The team quickly got on Discord to explain that they were aware of the problem and were working to fix it:

Not too long after, they returned to deliver the bad news:

The fix for High Evolutionary is going to require a client patch. Which unfortunately means, its going to take some time.
We'll continue to update everyone as we work towards the solution. Appreciate y'all! Sorry for the inconvenience.
While specifics are scant regarding exactly why High Evolutionary didn't make it into the game this time around, our guess is that this is similar to the issue that kept Orka out of the game back when Series 4 and 5 were first introduced.
Either way, it looks like we'll have to wait a few weeks to play with the more perfect life-forms of High Evolutionary - unless Second Dinner decides to push up their Patch cadence, it's highly possible the Series 5 card doesn't make it into the game until mid-June.

Given all the conversations that have been going on since he was datamined, I predict The High Evolutionary will be the most popular day 1 purchase since the Token Shop has been implemented. He opens up at least 2 archetypes, and people are excited to try him out!
