Get your taming supplies ready, your carry capacity up, and get ready to craft an assortment of weapons because ARK's remaster, Survival Ascended, has released! Studio Wildcard hinted that we were getting very close to the release when they stated on X a little over a week ago that the final build of the game was pending certification.

The new ARK is an Unreal Engine 5 remaster of the original game, ARK: Survival Evolved, and includes plenty of new features:

  • Dynamic lighting.
  • Redesigned artwork for higher graphical detail.
  • New physics systems including dynamic water and building destruction.
  • New user interface.
  • Dynamic navigation for creature pathfinding.
  • Wild baby dinosaurs.
  • Cross-platform modding including a mod browser in the game itself.
  • Cross-platform multiplayer.
  • Up to 70 players online at the same time.

All of ARK's previous worlds will be available in Survival Ascended, though not initially. The game releases with the original map, The Island, and will bring in free DLC updates with the others; This includes Scorched Earth, Aberration, Extinction, Genesis (1&2), and more. ARK: Survival Ascended is available now on PC through Steam and will be coming to Xbox and PlayStation in November. The game is currently in early access and has a 10% discount.
