The latest Xbox Podcast just happened, and it revealed some news about the future of Xbox. A number of games have been rumored to go to other consoles during the past four weeks, and Phil Spencer just confirmed that 4 of them will, indeed, go multi-platform. However, that doesn't mean Xbox is going full third-party with its titles.

First of all, no, Starfield and Indiana Jones are not coming to PlayStation any time soon. Those game will still stay in the (x)box. In fact, the 4 games going multi-platforms are over a year old, and weren't designed to be exclusive necessarily. Phil Spencer hasn't said what those games are, since the studios working on them are preparing their own marketing material for the announcement proper, but one of them is very likely to be Hi-Fi Rush.

Phil further clarified that this isn't a change in strategy for Xbox, and that first party titles are still part of the brand's focus. Matt Booty, head of Xbox Game Studios, added that about 5 years ago the platform was the biggest thing, but that there's been an inversion since and now games like Fortnite and Roblox are bigger than any platform. This is part of the reason why these games are going to other platforms, to help Xbox grow.
