Today we've got a spotlight on popular streamer, Swimstrim. He has a lot of great insight if you want to get better at Legends of Runeterra. If you watch his videos you'll find that he loves his hair...a LOT, but he also explains his choices thoroughly and continually strives to be a better player. He currently maintains a Meta Tier List for Mobalytics, which he updates daily. The deck featured here has been extremely popular in ranked play and it has went through several iterations.
The Changes
There are quite a few minor changes to the deck, but the most noticeable are the absence of Inspiring Mentor and Navori Conspirator. Since the most recent patch nerfed the buff the Mentor provides that probably factored into his decision to remove them. The Conspirator is great for bouncing followers, but losing the Mentor left it without its best target.
Comments
I wish they'D stop pretending to nerf Elusives and actually implement a counter.
If they just added "can't block to half of them" there'd at least be a chance to race them
Fiora is my most hated card. It's both boring and annoying
Stand Alone is such a [powerful card, specially on elusives,Rivershaper or Fiora..
you get a burst permanent +3/+3 for 3 mana, and it's VERY hard to play around the card..
Yeah; its a bit like Take Heart--insanely powerful tempo if you can land it right, but with a huge caveat.
Of course, Stand Alone is a LOT easier to anticipate / play for. :-P
How you play around a 7/6 elusive on turn 3? Or a 6/6 fiora? Landing stand alone on a key unit on turn 3 is normally game over. Unless you specifically have purify or will of Ionia.
You can't Purify a Champion. That's another reason this deck is so broken.
I'm not saying we should be able to Purify Champions, but maybe Stand Alone should work on followers only.
Yeah I know that, it's so frustrating to face such combo you can't really do much on most cases if it lands on a Fiora
No, that was my point: if I had a Stand Alone in my opening hand, its easy for me to only play 1 minion which I want to buff and near impossible for you to play around. Whereas for Take Heart: I need my target to take nonlethal damage which can be tricky. I've lost a lot of Braum because my opponent was smart enough to wait until mid-combat before adding a Mystic Shot or Get Excited! to the stack.
