The Witcher III: Wild Hunt Remastered, Free Upgrade for All Original Game Owners

Gamescom decided to save its biggest announcement for very last, which is The Witcher III: Wild Hunt Remastered, releasing in just a month from now, which also acts as a free upgrade for everyone who owns the original game.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, originally released in 2015, is currently the eighth best-selling video game in history and it's getting a remaster to bring the game to modern times with all of the amenities.

At this point, you might ask what about the new DLC, Songs of the Past. If the game is getting a remaster, isn't it weird to release a new DLC for the original game? And is the DLC being added to the remastered version too? Unfortunately, we don't know how to answer either of those questions at the moment, although the new DLC will increase your PC's system requirements.

For those of you who own the original game, you're in luck. The upgrade is free for everyone who owns the game, presumably for a limited time, although no time was given.
